Chapter 6: "A Totally Peaceful Conversation."
They arrived at the shop with their cloaks on, of course, and bought lots of food.
Makari was kind of surprised by how much money Liam had.
After that, they (to be exact, Makari) start preparing and later, cooking the food.
After twenty minutes, cooking is almost done, and at that moment, sensing the almost finished meal, Makari's pet Shuro (cockatrice) starts hissing for food.
Liam gets a bit scared and stutters:
"W-When is the food going to be finished?!
Shuro is looking at me really eerily!"
Makari says:
"Don't worry, It's almost finished!"
As Makari is cooking, in the background, Liam is screaming because Shuro is attempting to taste him, because of how hungry he is.
After less than a minute, the food is finally finished and Makari happily announces:
"Thank God, finally!
Food is finished!
You guys can stop fighting!"
Liam suddenly yells:
"HE WANTED TO EAT ME ALIVE!"
Shuro suddenly leaves Liam and starts chirping cutely, coming towards the food.
All three gather up and start their meal.
After around ten minutes of good eating, they are finally full.
Liam happily says:
"Wow, the food you've made was really good."
Makari happily says:
"Oh thanks!"
Liam points towards Shuro and yells:
"But what's better IS THAT YOU AREN'T TRYING TO EAT ME!"
(At least for now...)"
Shuro gets mad:
"Hisss...!"
Makari says:
"Oh come on guys, get along already!"
Liam responds by yelling:
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN GET ALONG?!
TELL HIM!
AS I TOLD YOU BEFORE, HE IS THE ONE WHO TRIED TO EAT ME!
NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!"
Makari silently says:
"Okay, okay...
just saying, no need to yell that loud...
Just calm down and let's have a normal conversation.
I want to talk about something really serious and important."
Liam gets confused and says:
"ABOUT WHAT EXACTLY?!"
Makari starts talking:
"I heard about some 'heroes'.
I do not know who they are, but I heard that they fight and kill monsters.
Once, when I was walking past some random guys in my cloak, I heard that they were talking about some lady with wings and birdlike legs, I forgot the name of her 'species'."
Liam quietly stutters:
"You mean a h-harpy?"
Makari responds by saying:
"Yes! They said she is a harpy!
I also heard that she is so fast, that she killed a few monsters in just a few seconds."
Liam gets confused and says:
"Huh...
IF SHE SEES US OR HEARS ABOUT US, ALL THREE OF US ARE GOING TO BE DEAD!
AAAAAA-"
As he is screaming, Makari interrupts him by saying:
"Dude, dude, please be more quiet!"
Liam starts to cry and yells
"BUT WE ARE GOING TO DIE!
AAAAAAAAA!"
Makari loses it and yells:
"WELL, MAYBE WE WILL AT THIS POINT BECAUSE YOU ARE SCREAMING LOUD ENOUGH THAT THE WHOLE TOWN CAN HEAR US!"
Liam doesn't stop and continues by saying:
"I CAN'T STOP!
I GET THESE PANIC ATTACKS WHEN I GET JUST A BIT STRESSED!"
Makari gets even more mad and says:
"OH GOD, I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT A 'PROFFESIONAL' THIEF IS SUCH A DAMN CRYBABY WHO HAS PANIC ATTACKS!"
Liam responds by saying:
"OH DON'T YOU DARE TALK TO ME LIKE THAT!
YOU KNOW HOW TO COOK!"
Makari responds by saying:
"And what if I know?!"
Liam continues by yelling:
"I, NOR ANYONE IN HISTORY EVER SAW A TIGRONOID THING KNOWING HOW TO COOK!
IT'S NOT YOUR JOB TO DO THAT.
THAT IS JUST DUMB!!"
Makari responds by saying:
"Well listen here you 'Paranoid' thing, you do not even know what happened yesterday and you talk about history! At least be grateful that I made you a meal "
Liam loudly responds by yelling:
"HEY, DON'T YOU INSULT ME LIKE THAT YOU LITTLE BRAT!"
Makari suddenly stares at him, quietly saying:
"Did you just call me a 'little brat'?
Listen up, I realized that you hate doing boring things.
You are going to clean this food up, while Shuro and I watch you do it.
Was I clear?"
Liam suddenly becomes polite and says:
"Yeah, yeah, here, I'll do it..."
Then he thinks:
"Oh my, I pissed him off really hard!
The worst of all is that I am bad at washing the dishes!
I AM A BEAST AFTER ALL!
HE CAN'T JUST FORCE ME TO CLEAN THE DISHES!
I am going to stand up for myself!"
Then he yells out loud:
"Hey listen, you are never going to make me clean these dirty dishes!"
Makari responds by saying:
"Well, If you don't want to do that,
You can always take care of 'our pet'."
I am pretty sure he is still a bit hungry even after this huge meal."
A minute has passed and Liam is washing the dishes, so he thinks
"Oh crap, never mind...
He almost let that newborn cockatrice feed on me!"
As he is doing that, Makari happily says:
"Hehe, this will be your nice little lesson!
Yes, yes, clean them up!
Hehehehehe!"
Liam thinks:
"DAMN, IN MY TWENTY FOUR YEARS OF LIFE I NEVER EVEN THOUGHT THAT I WAS GOING TO BE FORCED TO WASH THE DISHES!
I WANNA GET PAID FOR THIS!"
