Chapter 7: "Pumpkin Head Liam."
After Liam (Leopard) finished washing the dishes, he says:
"HERE, I FINISHED CLEANING YOUR DIRTY DISHES!!
IT'S REALLY LATE, AM I FREE TO SLEEP NOW?!"
Makari (Tiger) calmly says:
"Yeah sure, go."
As Liam is walking towards the bedroom Makari suddenly says:
"Hey Liam, wait...!"
Liam gets confused, turns around and sadly says:
"Yes, Makari?"
Makari then says:
"You will have to sleep on the floor, because we don't have two beds."
Liam gets really mad and yells:
"DAMMIT, CURSE YOU!
I THOUGHT YOU WOULD SAY SOMETHING EMOTIONAL!
AAAAHHH!"
He continues going to the bedroom to sleep on the floor.
As he is walking towards it, Shuro pecks him really hard on his head.
He almost yells in pain, but this time, silently says:
"D-damn you, yyyou stu-ppid co-cockatrice...!"
He goes to the bedroom and starts to 'sleep'.
Makari and Shuro come in and also start sleeping.
In the middle of the night, as the tiger and his pet cockatrice are sound asleep, Liam 'wakes up' and slowly starts heading outside.
He takes his cloak and slowly inches towards the door. He grabs the doorknob and silently pushes, but as he does that the door starts creaking and because of that, he wakes Makari up.
He jumps from his bed and sees that Liam is missing, so he puts on his cloak and also leaves the house. He then sees that the leopard started running away and yells:
"LIAM YOU BASTARD!
COME BACK RIGHT NOW!
DAMMIT!"
Makari understands that he cannot catch him that easily, since Liam had a head start, so he thinks:
"Oh no!
If he runs away and returns to his old ways, the whole town is going to think that I am a thief, again!
I must call Shuro!"
Then he yells:
"SHURO!
WAKE UP AND CATCH LIAM, QUICK!"
Shuro suddenly wakes up because he heard the name 'Liam'.
He bursts through the window at full speed hissing, heading towards the fugitive.
Liam turns his head to the sudden, shattering sound and spots his worst nightmare.
He starts to speed up while screaming.
Thanks to his fear, he jumps over high fences, charges through hedges and gardens using his sharp claws thinking:
"THAT THING IS JUST A PUP AND CAN ALREADY FLY FAST ENOUGH TO CATCH UP TO ME!
GOD KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO ME IF HE CATCHES ME!
MORE SPEED, I NEED MORE SPEED!"
After bursting through a hedge he finds himself in a garden full of various fruits and vegetables.
As Liam is dashing through the plants,
he suddenly trips over a long, tomato plant and gets entangled in it.
Despite his best efforts, he only gets more entangled with the plant and more and more cuts and mud appear on his cloak.
Liam shrieks:
"Curse you tomatoes!"
As he is fighting with it to break free, he looks up and sees that Shuro is diving towards him.
After a few moments he manages to break free, but his sudden relief is short lived, as falls head first into a pumpkin and Shuro finally catches him.
Liam helplessly flails around as Shuro is bringing him towards Makari.
When Shuro brings Liam, who is now like a beast-plant hybrid with a pumpkin head, Makari bursts into laughter and says:
"HAHA Nice new costume you have, if you wanted to get dressed up for Halloween you should have told me!"
Liam gets frustrated and yells:
"STOP MAKING FUN OF ME ALREADY!
IT IS ENOUGH THAT YOU FORCED ME TO WASH THE DAMN DISHES AND ALMOST LET THAT COCKATRICE EAT ME ALIVE!
WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU TWO?!"
Makari silently says:
"Shh, be more quiet!
Somebo-"
Liam interrupts him by yelling:
"NO!
I DON'T WANT TO BE QUIET!
YOU CAN JUST CHOP OFF MY NECK AND FINISH THE JOB!"
Makari replies:
"Nah,
You are useful!"
Liam shouts:
"FOR WHAT?!"
Makari silently responds by saying:
"For...
For...
Ah yes!
For washing the dishes!"
Liam looks at him disturbed and screams:
"IF I AM JUST USEFUL FOR THAT, YOU DON'T NEED TO BREAK MY NECK!
YOU CAN JUST LET HIM (Shuro) EAT ME ALIVE THEN!
(Hehe, I bet he would never do that!)"
Shuro happily chirps:
"Yum yum!"
Liam didn't expect that, so he starts to scream even more:
"OH GOD, I WAS JUST KIDDING, DON'T EAT ME PLEASE!"
Makari suddenly interrupts him by saying:
"Umm, excuse me..."
Liam yells:
"EXCUSE ME WHAT?!"
Makari silently says in fear:
"Something's b-behind you...!
I t-told you to b-be quiet...!"
Liam gets disturbed and says:
"What is b-behind me...?
Y-you are j-joking with m-me, r-right...?
T-today is n-not April Fools' Day."
Liam slowly, but carefully turns around and takes a step forward. He cannot see as he still has a pumpkin on his head. It bursts after he hits something, Liam slowly removes the pieces of the plant from his face and restores his sight. Unfortunately the first thing he spots is a huge monster right in front of him him.
His fur becomes like a hundred little spikes.
In great fear, he shrieks and then silently says:
"Not,
Good..."
