I'm going to be honest here after introducing lucifer like i did i basically made it impossible to make alastair grow as a character. sure he could get stronger and achieve godhood but the fact is lucifer is an omniversal level entity and his power reflects this. once lucifer was on friendly terms with alastair , that was it , no great enemies or strange outcomes made sense anymore. lucifer is just that broken in terms of power. to make matters worse this story is pretty much out of steam for the same reason one of my other fanfics ran into. alastair is simply too powerful and lacking weaknesses to continue to write about. the sheer versatility of his magic alone makes him capable of countering literally almost every character or power i could throw at him. take superman for example lets say for whatever reason alastair didn't know anything about him , a quick check through time and boom countered. i admit that writing this story has helped me grow as an author but as someone who has grown past the point i was at when i wrote this story originally , i find that this story is scattered and broken from the start. it is cringeworthy in a lot of the story where i tried something and it backfired horribly down the line. i rushed through almost every arc leaving so many things unexplained or just downright refusing to add more details.
I am sorry to end the story in such a way but i am forced to admit that i failed , i can't save the story i wrote into the ground. i won't stop writing in it's entirety because i have two other stories that i am carefully writing while avoiding the issues i encountered with this story. again i apologize for the way i am ending this story.
Most authors who do what you did (grow a character to an OP level) end up not realizing that the easiest and best answer to continuing the story is to move from adventure and battles to slice of life and romance. This story progressed too fast, without proper character development and presentation, just battle after battle, goal after goal, power up after power up. Even his wives were erased from history as backgrounds after the wedding, and the only parts they appear in are to say that they went shopping, accompanied him on the trip, or faced other women who showed interest in him (which is strange considering how much they pushed each other to join the harem). The remaining crew has only one name and one race. The spider I know had a role (cook), but the other 2 were just to make volume, because they did nothing but accompany them.
So true
Personally when it comes to characters like Lucifer and Biblical Father I think of them like this... Lucifer is only multiversal within the same "verse"(dc, marvel, ect)... The Father is similar but only in the way as each "verse" he exists is like heros on different Earth's... They are essentially the same but different do to different developments... So yes you would find Lucifer in many "verses" but they wouldn't be the same version of Lucifer do to to different "versal" Fathers... And their could be some "verses" where the Father doesn't exist do to a different creator god coming into existence similar to some anime and manga worlds, meaning Lucifer also wouldn't exist in those worlds either since his Father doesn't.
Just as example in the dxd universe the Father died during the last war and the angels and demons are different from DC's angels and demons.(Yes, some things like names are the same... It's still bible based.)
