"It's a nice thought to believe in a 'next time'. If it was a real battlefield, there wouldn't be a 'next time'." -Tatsuya Shiba

...

Ryan Whiteburn was a boy who grew up in a family which considered kinship above all else. They were a family that was also known for being the only rival to England's Joestar conglomerate.

Recently, they chanced upon an Arrow which they were told gave special supernatural powers by an old woman. All they had to do was be stabbed once, but because they were not idiots, they did not listen.

The Arrow was given by the old hag in return for only a few gold bars. It was a bargain, considering it looked like an ancient historical relic at the time.

What they did not expect was that one day, Ryan and his sister Lori, got shot with another similar Arrow a few weeks ago. They gained abilities and trained them to help their family in some way. That new Arrow managed to vanish the next day.

After two days, every member of their household, whether it was a servant or the heir, was stabbed with their own personal Arrow which they bought before. Fortunately, most lived, and they managed to awaken two more Stand Users.

That lead them to the assassination attempt which they caused today...

The reason why this was so meticulously planned, was because of a Stand User who awakened in the Whiteburn household which can use clairvoyance. They managed to find out that it can see the family name (bloodline) of any person seen through clairvoyance, and that was how they learned of DIO.

Since he looked rich, he had the blood and name of the Joestars, and was a nemesis of the Whiteburns, they could not resist killing him in a "plane accident". Even if he just shared the name Joestar somehow, they were dead-set on killing this mystery man!

At the time, they did not know of the Dio from almost a hundred years ago, they just thought this no-named Joestar was an important secret heir or something.

The competition was the product of rivalry, and wars resulted from competitions that escalate from an arch-nemesis.

They would never guess others could possess Stands. They would never even estimate that by thinking about attacking another faction, theirs would be reduced by almost half in power!

Today would be the day that two of the four remaining Whiteburn Stand Users perished.

That is what led to their demise. The Whiteburns, known for their information networks, riches, and intelligence stood no chance against DIO.

They were the only rivals to the Joestars, but they were never rivals to Dio Joestar himself. They were never worthy!

...

Closing his eyes, all it took was two words and one magnificent pose before this fight was completely over...

"Za Wārudooo!!!"

...

All that was heard after DIO's words were the sound of something which phased and a clock that sounded like it was being rewound.

However, only DIO heard this because he was the only one who could move inside frozen time. It was true that the Stand was able to amplify mental fortitude beyond DIO's Optic Stamps through touch. It was also true that Ryan was invisible somewhere after he and his Stand touched right hands.

Even DIO would not be able to see him without something like dust or paint, but that would not be needed.

Since he was just fighting a Stand User with a weak ability, which did not have a chance to move far after time was stopped, the only place he could be is within a meter radius of his last position!

He waved his hands around that general location until he felt something. DIO decided to also use his enhanced smell to help pinpoint the User more accurately. He examined using his sense of touch and confirmed that it was Ryan Whiteburn.

First, he decided to explain his ability like a villain while time was stopped since he knew that The World was trained enough to give ample durations now.

"Behold The World! While time is stopped, you will neither see nor feel anything that befalls you."

... ... ...

"Hmph. Die, Whiteburn!"

Then, DIO used his vampire-like nails to separate Ryan's invisible head from his neck.

DIO was feeling merciful today since they were like beggars wanting to be killed by him, so he gave him a quick death. He crossed his arms and told the decapitated man a few final words.

"You don't even realize that I have killed you. You will never know what truly transpired."

Then DIO walked to the cockpit to make sure they were on auto-pilot. After confirming this, he decided he would later ask Ralph to drive since he already knew how to fly a helicopter at least...

DIO decided he should return to his seat quickly before time resumed because he seemed to be done with everything.

"Two more seconds. . ."

...

"Zero."

All that was heard after DIO's words was the sounds of a slashing and blood erupting from the neck of Ryan. It was a horror-inducing scene, and DIO was just sitting calmly drinking tea.

The next second the pilot looked at DIO, he noticed he was unable to speak and everything was upside-down. His thoughts were only confusion because the pain had not been rendered to him.

Before DIO took another sip of his tea, which seemed to resemble a pose from Giorno's memory, he had a few words to say to conclude this "fight".

...

"Maybe tea is pretty good after all. I can try some Koshari Shai when I arrive. I heard that it was popular to drink in Egypt and goes well with a fresh mint."
