I slowly approached the terrified Magical Girl as I stopped Manifesting my Mana. The Dragon behind me disappeared, and the heavy atmosphere turned normal once again.

The Beast was still terrified. It didn’t even move from where it sat. I noticed the black smoke coming from the destroyed cars near the street, but those weren’t that important to me.

My priority was the Magical Girl. I was finally able to meet one directly!

“Hey, you!” I called out to the Magical Girl. My tone came out haughty. It couldn’t be helped. An introverted girl like me wouldn’t be able to interact normally, so I put on a strong front.

From the setting, Arsy was a commander. So I imitated how a commander would talk to her subordinate.

This is somehow embarrassing. But I want to talk to her! Forgive me, Magical Girl! I apologized inside my mind for my rude tone.

“M-Me?!” The Magical Girl pointed at herself and stuttered.

“Yes, you. Are you having trouble killing that measly little Beast? Do you need my help?”

“H-huh? M-Measly little Beast? That big wolf?!”

The Magical Girl appeared to be confused as she shouted while pointing at the docile Beast on the ground. Yes, the Beast turned docile after I Manifested the Dragon. I was also confused by its condition.

I was expecting a battle. But with the condition of that Beast, it would only serve as a still target. That was when I realized.

I’ve gone too far.

“Yes, you have,” Titan whispered in a low voice that only I could hear from my side.

“Indeed, that little Beast.” I nodded. “Well, with its condition–“

“That’s a big wolf! Not a little Beast! It is a Level 3 Beast! Even I, as a senior Magical Girl, can’t beat it alone!”

Before I could finish my sentence, the Magical Girl lashed out hysterically. I meant, really? I was surprised when she said she couldn’t beat it alone. It was just a Garmr, right? The tutorial monster from Magical Giants.

I looked at Titan to ask for its confirmation. Unexpectedly, it nodded its head.

“That big wolf is indeed a Level 3 Beast. It is considered a strong Beast that needs at least 2 Magical Girls to beat.”

The girl nodded her head excitedly.

“As Mr. Giant said! Rather, what was that? I saw an illusion of a Dragon behind you earlier! The Beast stopped moving when you arrived. Hey, your name is Arsy, right? Nice to meet you! I am Magiya Glacier!”

It seemed like she had calmed down and returned to her usual self. The girl closed in our distance. Did she forget that there was still a Beast on the ground?

Was my Manifestation of Mana that scary? I asked myself. Anyway… Isn’t this girl too excited? I can’t handle someone like her! Don’t get too close to me!

“Get away. Give me some space. I will tell you one thing.”

“Ah!”

I shoved her away with a bit of force and pointed my index finger at the Beast now that the girl wasn’t in front of me. I gathered my Mana in front of the tip of my finger. A dark purple Mana began swirling around my hand, shaping it into a bullet.

“Don’t ever take your eyes away from the Beast, even if it appears to be docile.”

At that moment, the Beast on the ground moved and tried to run away. Apparently, it noticed the danger from the Mana in front of my finger.

It was too late, though. Grinning, I shot the Mana Bullet that I created, aiming at the head of the Beast. It flew at an unprecedented speed, even faster than a real bullet, and pierced through the Beast’s head.

Its head then exploded into pieces as my Mana Bullet dissipated into nothingness. The blue blood rained on the street, its meat was scattered everywhere, and the Beast's body fell lifelessly on the ground.

“A-aaa…”

If I was not wrong, the Magical Girl introduced herself as Magiya Glacier. She couldn’t say anything when she saw the gruesome sight.

“Well then, let’s have a talk, shall we?” I gave Magiya Glacier my most friendliest smile, but for some reason, she stepped away from me, terrified.

Huh? Why? Could it be… Did I overdo it again?

“As I said, you overdid it.” Titan sighed tiredly as it tapped against my shoulder in protest.

“I am sorry for being scared of you! E-even though you saved me from the Beast! A-Also, I am sorry for closing in so suddenly.”

We moved to the roof of a building near the location where I killed the Beast. Talking about the Beast, I collected its body and put it in my space storage, Inventory. Titan said it could be sold to the government, and they would give me money, so I took a little bit of time to put it in my Inventory.

I couldn’t be bothered to clean the blood and meat scattered around the street, so I flew away to the roof to avoid the responsibility. I meant, I killed the Beast to save them, so it was no problem, right?

After moving to the roof, Magiya Glacier followed me and apologized. Oh, isn’t she a good girl?

“It’s not a problem! Well, I also went too far, so forgive me as well.”

“So you aren’t angry?” Glacier looked up at me with moist eyes.

What is this? She’s so cute!

Once again, I realized that even though this Magical Girl was annoying, she was still cute. It wasn’t on the level of the blonde that I met earlier, but she could easily be the cutest girl in her school.

So I smiled at her. “I am not angry. Rather, are you okay? Your body shivered earlier. Are you cold?” I asked in worry.

If she was cold, it would be better if she returned to her house. However, she shook her head.

“Ah, no. Please don’t worry about it. I will never get cold due to me being a Magical Girl that controls ice!” She raised her wand and created a cute small snowman on top of her hand. “See?”

“Ooh! That was amazing!” I exclaimed.

Magic! That was real Magic! She could control ice, huh? Her active personality reminded me of fire, but she actually specialized in ice!

I couldn’t use real Magic because it was too dangerous for the environment. Look at what my Mana Bullet did to the Beast. My Magic was way more destructive than that. I would only use it when I was in a serious fight.

I felt a light tap against my neck when I was excited about Magic.

“What is it, Titan?” I turned to the furball on my shoulder.

“A girl is approaching our location.” It only said that, and I immediately knew what it meant.

“Huh? Who might it be?” Glacier said, confused.

Even I understood what Titan meant. A Magical Girl was approaching our location. I also felt her Mana. She was flying at a fast speed.

A few seconds later, I could see her clearly. She stopped above us.

“I received a report that there is a Level 3 Beast here. Where is it? Huh?” The girl looked at me. “Strange. I heard that there is only a Magical Girl here. Are you here to help Magiya Glacier? If so, then may I know your name?” She asked.

However, I didn’t answer her immediately. I focused on her fiery red hair that was tied in a ponytail. A mature dress that was different from the usual Magical Girl’s outfit. Then at her wand that looked like a rapier.

I recognized this girl. My lips curled up into a smile. My heart was beating fast.

Ah, I never thought an opportunity like this would arise on my first day as a Magical Girl.

“Hey, Arsy! Calm yourself! You are shivering!” Titan hastily patted my head a few times. Realizing that it wouldn’t be able to stop me, it jumped off my shoulder. “Don’t overdo it!” It shouted as it made its way toward Magiya Glacier.

Sorry, Titan. I don’t think I can. She’s in front of me!

I looked at the girl in the sky with excitement and shouted her name, “Magiya Blaze! Let’s have fun!” And I invited her to have fun with me.
