“Hum hmm~.” I hummed the song that was sung by the idol group the cutie was in as I walked toward the concert venue. “I can’t wait to see Diva again.”

Yes, I found the cutie’s name. Or, well, her stage name. She was called Diva and apparently was the side vocalist of the idol group Magical Diva Girls.

It made me wonder why she was called Diva when she was a side vocalist, but I found out that the main vocalist was called Utahime, a better-sounding title than Diva in Japan as it translated to Singing Princess.

“You seem to be in a good mood,” Titan said to me. The furball was walking beside me instead of parking on my shoulder like usual. “You even dressed up nicely for an introvert.” It mocked me. I guessed it was still angry after I spun it around. My bad, Titan.

“Fufufu, yes. Somehow, just the thought of me being able to see that cutie again put me in a good mood. Also, my clothes are cute, no? I have always wanted to wear this, but I had no money to buy it. But now, because of the necklace, I can just create it myself from my imagination!”

For my clothes, I wore a black tank top underneath a gray half-transparent baggy oversized shirt tucked inside my skirt. My cleavage was exposed due to how the tank top was shaped, but I didn’t really mind.

I also wore a tight type miniskirt that was held by a black belt around my waist, making me look more slender than usual.

Around my neck, I wore a black choker. I also wore a black mask and a cute black boogie hat. My usual black sneakers were on my feet, and I had a thigh belt strapped on my left thigh. My hair was done in a straight fashion, and it reached my shoulder.

I was confident in making every boy my age turn toward me due to my cuteness. All in all, they were feminine clothes for someone like me.

“Indeed, it is. For an introvert.” Once again, it hit me where it was hurt.

I wouldn’t be such a disappointing girl who always nitpicks a cat for mocking me. I was a girl with a big heart!

“Well, I am sorry for spinning you around, okay? Look, we have arrived!” I pointed at a music house across from the road, near the intersection. This place was located in Akihabara, heaven for otaku and Magical Girls lovers.

The concert was held in one of the music houses, in the underground to be exact. Yes, the group Diva was in was the so-called Underground Idol, and the ticket was cheap enough so I could afford it.

“At least you are able to apologize,” Titan said. A small smile formed on its face as it jumped on my shoulder. “I will use Magic to hide from normal people. So enjoy your time inside.”

“Sure! I am going!”

***

I was able to enter safely. It was natural. I had the ticket, after all. But there was one thing that I didn’t take into account.

“There are only 10 people here…” I muttered to Titan as I stood at the farthest wall from the stage. The venue was big enough to hold around 100 audiences, but there were only 10 people, including me, who showed up in this venue.

“Indeed. It seems the Magical Diva Girls are not as popular as you thought.”

“Grrr… They don’t understand Diva’s cuteness at all!”

I had already entered my fangirl mode as soon as I arrived, so it vexed me that only a few people showed up at the concert. More than that, those who showed up were only people who were curious about Magical Diva Girls. I sensed no fan energy from them.

All of them were also male. Clearly, they only wanted to see a cute girl cheaply. Moreover, the ticket only cost 500 yen. It was far cheaper than most underground idol concert tickets in Akihabara, which usually cost at least 2000 yen.

They even glanced at me every so often. I could feel their gaze focused on my thighs and my cleavage.

What a bunch of perverts. Well, I am no better, but… being stared at like this is uncomfortable. I frowned to show them my hostility, and they immediately averted their gaze away.

“Just calm yourself down. You’re here to see Diva, no?”

“Yes! Well… Oh, they are here.” I purposely diverted the conversation as I noticed five girls wearing the usual frilly Magical Girls clothes from the back of the stage.

They lined up in the middle of the stage. Diva was on the left, and I only focused my attention on her.

She’s still as cute as before.

The center of the group, Utahime, was a girl with long black hair tied in twin tails. She appeared like an energetic girl as she greeted the audience.

“Everyone! Nice seeing you here! We are…”

“””Magical Diva Girls!”””

Everyone in the group shouted at the same time as they struck a pose of raising their wands together. They were professional, so they didn’t get shy doing that.

If it was me, then I would curl into a corner. Before I got Arsy’s persona, I wouldn’t be able to do that, seriously. Now I was better as I was calmer than before, but I would still get embarrassed from doing that in front of many people.

Anyway, the concert started right after. I enjoyed it and started to follow their tune by tapping my feet against the floor as I folded my arms under my chest. I smiled under the cover of my mask. Seeing a cute girl doing a cute thing always melted my heart.

Time passed quickly, and it was already over when I realized it. I exited the music house and went to the park to cool myself down. It was already dusk when I found myself sitting on a bench, drinking a cold tea from the vending machine. A few people were doing the same thing as I did, sitting on a bench and enjoying the park alone.

“Man! That was a blast! I never thought watching it live would be so different from watching the video!”

“I enjoyed it too,” Titan answered me from the side as it sipped cola with a straw.

What the hell, aren’t you a cat? I wanted to retort, but I didn’t sound it out loud because I already saw enough moments of Titan not acting like a cat.

I mean, he was originally a Giant, so it is perfectly normal for Titan to drink a coke. No, rather than that, from the start, it’s not normal for a Giant to take on a fat cat appearance, no? And he drinks it rather happily!

However, Titan enjoyed the concert too, huh?

“Right? I really love their dances! However, there is one thing that I don’t like…”

“And that is?”

“Diva! I don’t like that!” I raised my voice so suddenly that almost every person near me turned to me. “How could they make her do that? She only sang a few lines, and that’s it! Arrghh, it disappoints me!”

“That’s an idol business for you. The cutie will not always win.”

Titan’s retort made sense, actually. That was enough to shut me up. Idol was always about fame and money for their agency. It was an industry where girls competed with each other.

“Well, that was it. I am done, so I am going home.” Saying so, I stood up from the bench and took Titan by my hand, placing it on my shoulder, and I walked away from the park to the station to go home. My house was located in Shibuya, so I took a train to arrive in Akihabara.

“We walk?” It asked.

“I am in the mood for a walk.”

***

The train ride took around 38 minutes. Yes, it was the exact 38 minutes. Japan was punctual. Even a train ride would always arrive at the exact time on the schedule.

It would take around 5 minutes from the station to my home. But I wasn’t in the mood yet, so I walked down the street, enjoying the neon light of Shibuya. There were many bad people out at this time, so it was dangerous for a girl to walk alone.

“The city is really well lit, reminding me of Krysa City in Deepland.” Titan suddenly said so as it looked around.

“I have never been in Deepland before, so I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“You will have a chance in the future. Anyway, you had such a high mood earlier, but why did you suddenly feel down?”

“It’s about that matter. I was there to watch Diva, but what I got was a disappointment. Haaa… I will just go home and sleep. I hope there will be a Beast attack tomorrow. Something like a Kraken or Wyvern would be good.” I let out a disappointed sigh as I turned around to a narrow street, a shortcut to get back to my home.

“Beasts aren't attacking that often. Rather, those two Beasts that you mentioned could easily destroy a part of Shibuya if they are ever attacking. The Magical Girls on Earth aren’t that strong yet. Well, except for you and that girl, the headmaster of Magical Girl School, Raylight.”

“That’s why I hope there will be an attack like that. If not, then a delinquent stopping me on this street would be enough. I want to beat someone to vent this frustration of mine.”

“You raised a flag, you know?”

“Hahaha, there is no way.”

I laughed Titan’s retort off. Titan was the one who always raised a flag, not me. There was no way I would raise such a cliché flag on Earth. This planet was peaceful, a real world, not a fantasy.

A second after I laughed at Titan, suddenly someone screamed from the back alley where thugs usually gathered together.

“S-Stop it! Let me go!”

My feet stopped moving the moment I heard the voice.

There is no way, right?

Titan looked at me with a smirk, “Now we both raised a flag. I told you, right? This is not the Earth that you know anymore. Magical Girls and dangerous Beasts have become real.”

“Damn you.” I answered with a curse as another voice belonged to a man followed the scream from earlier.

“Hahaha, you will not run. Don’t blame me. I am just doing my job.”

“You aren’t going to help her?” Titan asked.

“Nah, no. It won’t do any good for me. Rather, let’s just listen.” I answered Titan while shrugging.

It sounded rather interesting, so I approached the back alley where the voice was from and leaned my back against the wall in the shadow, eavesdropping on their conversation.

“J-Job? Then why did you attack me?”

When I eavesdropped quietly, I thought that the voice sounded familiar. I narrowed my eyes and pulled up my mask to concentrate and hear it better.

Her voice sounds exactly like Diva's. I hope it is just my imagination.

As I prayed for it to be my imagination, the thug’s next line confirmed my suspicion.

“Because my job involves you, oh little Diva. Don’t blame me for scaring your pretty face. I also want to do this and that, but my client would be dissatisfied with that. Hahahahaha.” The thug laughed maniacally as I facepalmed.

“2 on 1. You raised more flags than me.”

Titan's comment didn’t help even a little in this situation.
