[Red's POV]

God damn it. Again with my horrendous luck. I just found out her daughter is participating, now I'm fighting her? Man, what did I do to get involved in that idiot's (King Darius) failed parenting of his kid? I peeked over my shoulder to look at the Princess, she was still staring at me. Freaking out a little, I sighed and just head to the end. Looks like both of us have to fight this through. We both stood at the end of the arena with our faces facing one another.

"Contestants! Ready!"

She holds herself in a fencing position, with her sword held at the same height as her chest. 

Gulp. Nervously, I took out Fang in its long sword form and gripped my weapon tightly. Before I could calm my nerves down to have some confidence, the host shouted:

"Start!"

Like a lightning strike, before I could think about what to do with the situation in front of me, Seren was already in front of me. She managed to close a 50-meter distance in less than a second and was already trying to impel her sword through my skull.

I shift my head just a tad too late, only to have my cheek cut again. I stepped out of her range of attack and retreated in another direction. As I widened the gap between us. She suddenly snaps her fingers and suddenly multiple red magic circles appear as she points them forward in my direction. Like a bullet exploding out from a gun, balls of fire appear as they formed into shapes of arrows and flew towards me.

[Barrage Flame Arrow]

Using Fang, I tried to cut all the arrows of fire aimed at me. But I missed some of them as it burns through my flesh. I endured the excruciating pain and ran ahead. However, she was also waiting for me. With her sword always prepared, she swings her sword horizontally as I got nearer and fires fire magic as I leave a wide distance between us.

"This is annoying." As I said to myself while weaving left to right. I dashed my way towards Seren in a zigzag motion to get close and swung Fang towards her. I swung the sword in a Criss-Cross position however, her sword collided with mine and slid through the blade and deflect it. I followed up with a thrust motion, she suddenly took a step forward and used the cross-guard of her sword to pull my sword down. Seren then used the hilt of her sword and strike my chin causing me to get whiplash on my head and I was flying towards the air. 

She then kick my sword towards my direction and said:

"Get up."

Red was sprawling on the ground trying to get up. With a concussion to his head, he was seeing double while Seren walks towards him and started provoking him. Red picked his weapon up but he was still groggy from the damage that he received from Seren. However. Serene doesn't care. With lightning speed, she bolts towards Red and started swinging her weapon. 

Red barely managed to block off some of the attacks but the pressure of Seren's attack exponentially increase as her attack speed increased, making it hard for Red to keep up. After watching the fight that her opponent had against Lionel. She decided not to underestimate her opponent and started unleashing her full power as her opponent may have more tricks up his sleeve.

Focusing his vision on the next level, he decided to confront his opponent's attack head if not he would be demolished before he could do anything.

Waiting for his chance, the moment Seren threw a piercing attack, he weave his body like how he did in boxing.

It was sudden but irregularly but Seren saw through Red's irregular Strike and parried it. She returns one of her own.

Sword Technique 

Both warriors inflicted damage on one another and sustained damage. Red's body was covered with cuts and slashes, and he bled from head to toe. 

Seren's arm seemed to be severely bruised as she struggles to lift her sword. Her body was also trembling due to the impact of the attack as she breathes heavily, trying to regain her composure. There were bruises, cuts and scratch marks on her hands and feet.

"Looks like you weren't so worthless after all." Seren spoke while trying to catch her breath. She tries to lift her sword again but found out that she has some trouble doing so.

"..." 

"Even if I can actively strike you. I have this." Seren snaps her finger, causing another magic circle to appear. enveloping it around her body.

[Heal + Haste] = [Regeneration]

The wounds from her body all healed up as her body that was trembling earlier on, all stopped altogether. In addition, looks like her stamina recovered as well.

She swings her sword, clearing any bloodstains that were in it and she started casting again.

From afar, King Darius is watching the battle between his Child and Disciple closely as he rubs his hand around his beard.

"Seren, improved a lot, hasn't she?" Queen Molly asked, smiling at her daughter's performance.

"Yes, she did." King Darius replied, reminiscing the first time he saw her holding a sword and over the years how she has always trained hard with the sword over the years, just to have her validation.

"I know you don't want her learning from you, but please reconsi______"

"I will think about it."

Queen Molly suddenly stopped talking and stare at her husband. The man firmed on never teaching his daughter his swordsmanship changed his mind to a maybe. The Queen smiles and hugs King Darius, kissing him on the cheek. While all in the open with the rest of the other Kings giggling and smirking at him. King Darius's face turned red and quiet continued watching the match.

Seren cast a series of spells to keep Red on the row, not giving him a chance to take a break. From lightning bolts striking from above, to ice spears aimed at him from the Princess to her sword strike. Red opened his eyes wider, to give a clearer insight on when to move to avoid all these attacks. The training he did with Ryong plays a major part here as subconsciously he could predict where the next Magix spell is going to strike at.

However, he realised that he was still too slow when it comes to reacting again such attacks as he was always just a tad too slow when it comes to reacting in time.

He breaks the momentum of the match by slamming his sword, creating a smokescreen covering the arena. From there, he retreats to a safe distance to prepare for his next move.

"Finally, you realised what else you can now huh, idiot." King Darius said, placing his palm on the temples of his head.

Seren cast [Wind] to clear the smoke around the area, finding Rsd standing motionless in the corner. As she takes a closer look, she realised the beast's expression on his mask changed into one that was smiling menacingly.

She quickly points her sword upwards and casts [Lightning] on her sword. She then redirects the lighting of her sword and aimed it at Red. A surge of energy was kept at the tip of the sword, as the power of the lightning grows stronger and stronger. 

[Lightning Enforcement]

Finally, her blade turns Blue, with lightning Imbued in it, she runs straight into Red, striking him with the sword that was charged with lightning magic.

The arena was filled with light and crackling sounds as the light travelled from one end of the arena to the other at astonishing speed.
