Multiple hoofbeats, along the road squelching in the mud, along with an abundance of loud conversations and shouts, flooded the road stretching through the forest. For hundreds of meters, following each other, a colossal convoy marched.

Leading the moving stagecoach, a mounted group, three in a row, consisting of armored soldiers, clutching the reins or tiredly holding the shaft of a developing flag with the symbol of Strange Trees, breathed heavily from under a closed visor.

Behind them, decorated with gold and crossed out, multicolored fabrics, a carriage trudged. It was followed by several more quite distinctive, but not so "beautiful" carriages, a significant part of which were filled up with a load.

As if separating a rich stagecoach, an almost full-fledged army of horse riders and infantry was moving behind the last carriage. They were followed by creaking, almost falling apart carts and a few panting and full of mud from head to toe, ordinary people, most of whom were women, children and the elderly.

Regret, fatigue and, most noticeably, fear were written on their faces. This fear, as if born of a lack of understanding of the future and regret that they had to give up everything so abruptly and move into the unknown, made women and children cry, and old people stare with regret at the army going ahead, or with barely noticeable resentment, at unknown silhouettes occasionally appearing out of nowhere.

With the sound of the wind, a young girl appeared on a thick tree branch. She was dressed in white clothes, through which the inflexible, protective plates were visible. On an attractive face with white eyes and a symbol on the forehead, seriousness was visible. After quickly paying her respects, kunoichi looked at the three people standing with their backs to her, on the next branch.

- Ame-san, the "non-core group" of the Uchih, are already in the right place and will soon have to reach the capital.

Looking at the moving convoy of wagons and people, Ame nodded weakly. Squinting uncertainly at the nephew standing next to the calm face, the man sighed.

- Well, it's time for us to move out. – Turning and looking at the eleven Hyuga standing waiting, Ame said in a serous tone audible to everyone. – You already know the task, but still remember, as soon as we get to the city, try to do anything to avoid being noticed. Let's go!

Having finished speaking, the silhouettes of Ame, the momentarily lingering Samato and smiling Harushumo blurred, disappearing. The remaining ninjas also did not stay in place for long, followed their leader, leaving a noisy convoy in the care of a few ninjas in black clothes and five disgruntled and sickly pale Hyugas, some of whom were unconscious.

Sitting, folding the seal with one hand and leaning the other against the sphere standing on the stand, the blonde kunoichi closed her eyes, carefully focusing. Next to her, looking at the map, sat another man with a black ponytail, frowning at the map.

- Team 4, moved five hundred meters to the capital. According to their data, the Uchiha continue to retreat, the presence of Kaguya and other clans has not been detected. Teams 5 and 1 have the same information.

Spoke  Inoimi without opening her eyes. After listening attentively to kunoichi, Shikazu, frowning more and more, stretched out his hand to the map, moving the numbered flags. After thinking a little, he spoke.

- Let team 6 move east of the city and go around it a little, but not too deep. Team 7 is the same. If they find a suspicious smell, report immediately.

Mentally repeating Shikazu's words, Inoimi relayed the information to the ninja teams moving forward. It didn't take Not much time passed, as in the head of kunoichi, through the reports from different teams, the response of the 6th and 7th teams followed.

- There is too much abundance of smells, although among them there is the smell of some Hyuga and Kaguya, but they are mixed with others leaving the city.

- Haa... well, let them stay in their positions just in case. Other teams should continue the offensive, let them completely destroy the Uchih in the city… I don't understand why they should retreat to the city, but they shouldn't dare to do something that will harm their reputation, so…

Sitting cross-legged on a flat earthen surface in utter darkness, Samato, with an activated byakugan, watched the ninja battles slowly flowing into the city. Fire techniques Uchih, faced with water techniques Senju. Moving along the roofs of dilapidated houses, silhouettes encountered in close combat. Previously, a significant group of more than fifty Uchiha, divided almost in half, has now decreased from twenty-seven to eighteen people.

Hundreds of ninjas from small clans on both sides, every second fell dead on the dirty stonework of the street. And the residents who remained in the city, in horror, hid in their homes or shelters, praying to rikudo that the next earth technique would not turn their bodies into a kind of minced meat.

Looking at the abundance of deaths and the progress of the fighting deeper into the city, Samato suddenly saw and felt a hand on his shoulder. It belonged to Ama, who, with doubt growing in his eyes, opened his mouth slightly, starting to move his lips.

- Are you sure?

Outwardly smiling faintly, Samato also silently "spoke". –Don't worry Uncle, it's fine, if I want to become strong enough to not be burdened with traditions, I'll have to do worse things.

After reading his nephew's words on his lips, Ame's mood jumped for a moment, finding joy, but after a moment he was overcome with sadness.

"Unencumbered by traditions... forgive Sumi, I'm a bad brother."

Smiling tightly, the man nodded weakly, then closed his eyes for a moment, allowing himself to return to the serous expression on his face. Making a sign with his hand to get ready, he noticed how all the ninjas of the clan began to gradually stimulate the chakra in their bodies.

Samato, meanwhile, waited until most of the ninjas were in the city, folded the seal, giving a small amount of chakra. At that moment, silence pierced the neighborhood. The ninjas in the city froze in place, watching in horror as thousands of explosive seals appeared out of nowhere, starting to burn.

"Explosion"

Like a bolt from the blue, the simultaneous explosion of thousands of explosive seals placed on almost every house, announced the district. The flames like a river flooded every meter, demolishing houses and destroying walls. Few ninjas barely had time to fold the seals, dived underground or surrounded themselves with water and stone walls. But it didn't help much to hide from the heat of the inhaled air. Most ordinary residents, without even having time to understand what had happened, were torn apart or crushed by the debris displaced by the force of the explosion.

Seeing the abundance of deaths with my own byakugans, most of the Hyugas didn't even move a bit emotionally. Only a few of the youngest swallowed a little in surprise, but quickly returning to combat readiness, they prepared for the subsequent order, which did not take long to wait.

- Go ahead, kill everyone you see!

With a cry, Ame, having already imbued the body with chakra, destroyed the layer of earth covering it with a blow and jumped out, rushed to the city slowly absorbed by the flames of the fire. Following his command, all the hiding Hyuga broke out of the ground and, at their maximum speed, moved towards the enemy visible in their "all-seeing" gaze.

With a slight delay, jumping out behind Ame, Samato moved a little away from the capital, where he saw a team consisting of Inuzuka with their ninken and presumably Yamanaka. But this is not what interested him most in choosing a goal, if it were possible, the scientist would not want to put his life at risk. But Samato perfectly saw another group of ninjas moving towards the same place, whose smiles shone with madness.
