- Kha-ha, ugh.

Glaring across the room, a small amount of blood poured onto the floor. Splashing across the stone surface, the red hues settled on the liquid-soaked, white stained cloths of my clothes, sticking to my body.

"A little more."

Sitting cross-legged on the floor, Samato's slightly weary mind assessed his unflattering condition. His medium-length black hair, slick with sweat, stuck to his forehead, hiding his slightly discolored eyes. Blood flowing from his eyes and burst veins, hiding his pale face with bloody color, dripped from his thin chin, dripping onto his folded legs.

The previously turbulent flow of chakra emanating from the scholar's body shifted, shifting to a steady, orderly flow that gradually grew weaker and weaker. Confirming the exhaustion, Samato's body, at a glance, showed a loss of weight, allowing the already unpleasant wet clothes, adjusted to the size of his body, to hang loosely. A dozen test tubes and torn and emptied pill packages were lying a little to the side, in a scattered state.

"According to my senses... the biakugan chakra of both eyes has almost completed the fusion. Haa, if I had taken my time and taken the time to saturate Mori's biakugan with more of my own biakugan chakra ratio first, my condition would not have been so deplorable. But the imminent large-scale clash of clans, in which the two reincarnations will be gaining strength like yeast, and that hitherto unknown monk, do not allow me to relax... After I can recover from the current stage of exhaustion and damage, it will be necessary to make sure this method of developing the byakugan and its possible problems, and, devote much of the remaining time to Kaguya's DNA."

Gradually fading, Samato's chakra, previously stimulated by copious amounts of drugs, sought to empty. When the flow of energy emitted from the scientist's body became like a barely perceptible thread, he felt the chakra of the two biakugans previously almost merged, suddenly finally united to become one.

Like a man shouting eureka, Samato's emotions were stirred with joy, but his physical condition quickly reminded him of himself. His hands clasped together in a seal with the last of their strength loosened, breaking the flow of chakra and deactivating the fuin seal. The scientist's sitting body itself collapsed forward like a sack, hitting the floor stained with a small amount of blood.

- Kha, shit... not good.

Bumping his forehead against the floor, Samato pushed off through the effort, rolling over onto his side. Moving his cotton hands toward each other, he put the seal together at a barely perceptible touch. As if out of a last effort, the scientist's already emptied source and chakra store sent chakra through the channels again, following the activated technique.

"Med Chakra Stimulation."

Rushing through the chakra channels, Samato's chakra transformed into medical chakra, dispersing in small quantities throughout her body, stimulating her already considerable regeneration. Closing his pain-stricken eyes and focusing his tired mind on watching the chakra source begin to deplete, the scientist inwardly sighed, deactivating the medical technique.

"That should be enough to avoid significant losses... we can rest..."

Releasing the last thought, the scientist's consciousness slipped into the darkness of unconsciousness, leaving behind the silence of the room, in the center of which was an altar emitting a small amount of chakra and a flask standing on it in the murky liquid which showed a floating pair of eyeballs.

...

An unknown time later.

Slowly coming to his senses, Samato felt the full weight of the chakra depletion weighing down on him. The weakness, along with the headaches, the loss of sensitivity, all caused the scientist to indulge in unpleasant thoughts.

- Oooh, as soon as I am fully strong enough, I will leave the clan and do my research far away from clan confrontations. So that I no longer have to, rushing to build up my strength despite the possible aggravating consequences.

Whispering in a tired voice that distinctly went through the silent room, Samato sighed. Without moving, he concentrated, trying to regain his sensory capabilities. The first thing that greeted the scientist as soon as he went into sensory mode was an abundance of blurry and barely perceptible sources of chakra, like paints painted across the space.

Ignoring the illustration of the starry night and the headache, the scientist continued trying to normalize his senses. Gradually, the blurred streams of chakra began to take on the outlines of the chakro-signatures of the abundance of eyeballs arranged in the lockers. Most tangible, however, was the pedestal, the top of which was illuminated by a dense biakugan chakra.

"Hmm, since in the time I was unconscious the biakugan retained its state, we can say that the first stage was successful. Now, once I've 'rested', I need to study it in more detail... Perhaps I should change my position."

Following his thoughts, Samato belatedly, straining his exhausted arms, rested against the floor. With a little more strength, he lifted his torso, clinging to the floor with his bloody clothes. After holding his sitting position for a few moments, Samato took several deep breaths, feeling dizzy.

Finally pulling himself together, he slowly rose on trembling legs. Taking a few steps back, he leaned against the wall, and leaning his arm against it, staggered toward one of the cabinets. Relying on his senses and his sensorics, Samato approached one of the glass doors, through which he could see neatly laid out small square packages and trays of test tubes.

He opened the door and, taking the tube with trembling fingers, held it up to his mouth with the cork. Grasping it with his teeth and pulling his hand down, he opened the tube with a squelching sound, spilling some liquid. But ignoring this, Samato spit out the lid clamped in his teeth and brought the vial to his mouth and poured it into himself.

"Haa, I should have taken more drugs. I wouldn't have had to pretend to be a man who had had too much of my unloved alcohol. But I hadn't calculated the amount of chakra expended, and the supply I did moderate to take wasn't enough. Thankfully, the medicine is nearby... I need to try to recover some chakra."

Tossing the vial aside, Samato grabbed a dozen vials filled with a coaster and a few rolls. Immediately, without moving away, he carefully crawled down the second covered door, settling on the floor. Placing the stand and the parcel on the floor, Samato closed his eyes, immersing himself in the diligent process of restoring the chakra in his depleted source.

...

"Strange, the damage to the chakra channels and the main chakra source, follows from the fact that the body cells and soul of the creature have been depleted, and have no ability to generate the physical and spiritual components. But in my current state, the physical component should be replenished in time by med-chakra-stimulated body regeneration. As for regenerating the spiritual component, it's a rather complicated process... Which, strange as it may seem, I won't need... Hmm, it's because of that 'thing'... Apparently my chakra branches have been so depleted that they don't have the ability to flow the right amount of energy through them."

Sitting cross-legged and resting his back against the glass cupboard door, Samato, whose hands were individually embraced by two faintly colored chakras thought. Putting a hand colored with reddish chakra to his forehead, the scientist tried to feel his spiritual energy. The other, embraced by the green honey chakra, rested on his eyes.

Finally, after a few minutes of deactivating the two techniques, Samato decided to set aside thoughts of his rapidly healing spiritual component. Withdrawing his hands from his head and taking the last vial in the holder, he opened it and brought it to his mouth, taking a drink.

- Okay, my byakugan will take some time to recover... But it's an independent process that doesn't require outside intervention. I'll start by restoring the chakro channels.
