An eleven-year-old girl could be seen panting as she slowly tracked through a forest. Across her bleeding back, she sported a large claw mark. The blue jeans she wore were caked in mud and were torn in several places. She was only wearing one side of her Nikes knockoffs, the other had been lost during her struggle with the huge lion-like beast.

The brunette gripped the kitchen knife she held in her left hand as she grinned at it, a hint of madness in her beautiful green eyes. She had managed to strike the lion-like beast once. She knew that it was no regular animal. It bled blue after all! Though she was shivering from the adrenaline rush and was most likely starting to go into shock she couldn't help but be happy that she was right.

Monsters were real. Her mother was wrong for the first time in her 11 years of life. Monsters were really real. These thoughts kept running through the girl's mind.

Shaking her head, Levana Kaer tried to ignore her wounds and focused on walking. However, she couldn't help but wince every time the large wounds on her back throbbed. She was lucky, the creature had been territorial and had not chased her out of the beast's territory.

" I know it is here... I can feel it... the safe place..." She looked around frantically searching for the place she had come for. The link in her mind to the place was stronger than ever.

" It has to be here..." She muttered as she walked back and forth trying to judge in which direction she should walk. After another 5 minutes of searching around the area, the girl started getting frustrated.

" Where? WHERE IS IT?! IT SHOULD BE HERE!" She began shouting to vent her frustrations. She had run from home to find this place. She had stolen money and had flown by aeroplane from the middle of Iran to its border just to look for this promised safe place.

After her exhausting day, she had been thoroughly sapped for her energy. All the shouting she had done didn't help her situation. Starting to get dizzy, perhaps from blood loss or exhaustion, Levana didn't know which it was, she slowly lowered herself and sat on the ground.

She tried to focus on the link in her mind but the wound on her back kept throbbing sending waves of pain through her body as the adrenaline began wearing off. As she sat there, her vision began to blur. Tears started to flow from her eyes as she realised something that she had not considered when she first set off on this journey.

She might just die.

Just as she started to lose consciousness, she heard someone speak. Through her unfocused eyes, she saw the blurry outline of what seemed to be a man, appear out of nowhere.

" Wow, you're looking banged up. Sleep, I will help your body mend." The man said as Levana closed her eyes.

... (A/N: These are not normal dots, these are legendary dots.)

Levana could be seen belly-flopped on a single bed. With two plump pillows each under her stomach and head, she slept soundly. In her sleep, she had been undressed and bandaged. With all the small cuts she had on her limbs and the large claw wound on her back, the mysterious man had opted to wrap her up in bandages and left her naked.

Slowly, Levana started to stir and her lean yet slightly muscular arms slowly wrapped themselves around the pillow under her head. Though the girl was still that... a girl, she had a rather well-shaped body. One made through 3 years of gymnastics training and her legs through a year of track training.

The girl tried to blink her hair out of her eyes as she woke up. Though short for a girl, her hair was still long enough to withstand her batting eyelashes. As she began closing her eyes once more, she felt a cold breeze on her bare butt and lower back and shivered, waking immediately.

The moment she fully regained conscience, she felt it. Her back hurt a lot. So much so that she felt like crying. In fact, she began tearing up. It wasn't throbbing like it was before, instead, it felt like it was burning uniformly. It wasn't as if she could distract herself from the pain either, there was this strange feeling that made her think that the muscle fibres and skin on her back were mending itself. It was slow but still far faster than her natural healing.

She could tell somehow.

Through teary eyes and gritting her teeth, Levana took stock of her surroundings and situation. Her knife, now with a blue-tinted blade, lay on a bedside table. She was completely naked if not for her bandages.

" Oh!" She shouted in surprise when she noticed another person in the room with her. The man was just sitting there, reading a book without a sound. She stared at the man, who simply continued reading, for a second before frantically trying to cover herself only to fail when her back throbbed to remind her that it exists.

" Don't bother, I am more than a millennium and a half old. If a hot 20-year-old woman doesn't arouse me, your cute kiddy one won't." Levana flinched a little at that statement, her pride taking a hit before she noticed something off with it.

" Wait, *cough* *cough* a millennium and a half?" Hearing Levana's question, the immortal snapped his book shut and got up. He then put his book on the chair he was sitting on and picked up the cup of water on the table.

" Here, have some water... Yes, I am currently one thousand, five hundred and thirty-two years old. Ah, here, let me help you sit up." The rather polite man helped the girl into an upright position and handed the girl the cup of water. The blushing girl, embarrassed that she was naked in the presence of a man, took the cup from him and took slow sips.

She felt like the man was telling the truth about being immortal. She had already seen monsters after all. Why wouldn't there be immortals too?

" My name is Hanok, I am a voluntary teacher of the children of the Sumerian gods." The man said as he returned to his chair. He then sat down and continued speaking seeing as Levana hadn't interrupted him.

" You are a demigod, child of one of the Sumerian Gods."
