After Austin finished allocating all his available Points, he left the Captain's room, heading toward the Ship's deck.

 

Soon, he arrived and was welcomed by the sight of the frightened pirates, who started trembling as soon as they saw him and avoided his eyes. Austin ignored them, looked around for a moment, and found the skinny vice-captain.

 

" Oy! Come here!" Austin called him.

" Ah! Y..es Sir!" The skinny man answered shakily

" Where is Gally's corpse ?!" Austin asked

" Huh?!" The poor man was stunned because this was the last thing he expected to be asked about.

" I have asked you a Question!" Austin said with a deep voice, waking the poor skinny man from his shock as he hurriedly replied while shivering.

" Ah...yes Sir...we...we store the body and the head in a room downstairs...as You know...Um," The skinny man hesitated for a moment, trying to decide whether he should finish his sentence or not.

" What ?!" Austin inquired

" We thought we should keep it safe... so we can present it to the Marine...Um...as you know, his head is worth over 3 million berries, Sir!" The skinny man answered while looking at Austin's face, trying to judge his response to figure out if he screwed up or hit the jackpot.

 

Austin was left speechless by his answer and cursed in his mind - *******! That was your f***ing Captain! - Austin sighed in his mind - What did I expect from these scums? They are pirates, after all - Austin shook his head and said to the greedy vice-captain.

" You have done well! You have good potential! " Austin praised him.

The man smiled, which made his broken teeth visible. He was happy that he had made the right bet.

" As you have just seen, I'm powerful, and I don't have crew members now, so work hard to get a place in my crew" Austin smiled and added,

" You may even get the Vice-captain position if you work harder."

 

The skinny man was surprised and then overjoyed. He had seen this freak and knew that he was strong and likely had a strong background, so if he could get in his good book and join his crew or even became his Vice-captain, he would have a lot of money and women.

" YES, CAPTAIN!" The man replied with such spirit that surprised even Austin

" Good!" Austin nodded in approval and ordered him, " Now, go get the body and send it to the room I'm in."

" Huh? what are you gonna do with it, boss?!" The skinny asked.

Apparently, he became more relaxed now that he had seen a chance to get a more comfortable life and started becoming already bold and casual around Austin.

" Ho! So you are already questioning my orders before you even became an official member of my crew, " Austin narrowed his eyes and said in a deep voice.

" I'm...sorry, boss...I will get the body and the head... right away," The skinny man answered quickly while cursing in his mind his stupidity - How could I become casual with this freak! Did I already forget his terror? - The skinny man dashed quickly to bring the body to the Captain's room.

 

Austin glanced at his departing figure and sneered in his mind - Idiot! As if I would take someone like you in my crew - He smiled - It's called the stick and the Carrot. Since you have seen my terror, I should give you some hope so that you can work even harder now - Austin took a last look at the pirates on board and returned to the Captain's room.

 

Back in the Captain's room, the skinny vice-captain had just delivered the body and was waiting outside the door as per Austin's order.

 

Austin looked at the room's closed door, then at the body and the head of Gally.

" Well, it's not the first time I have seen a corpse, I have seen dozen of them before, and I'm sure it's not gonna be the last time in this world, either." Austin shook his head.

 

" Hmm, I should start now, but before that, I should just read the description of the Skill one last time " Austin checked the description of 'All For One' on the Database.

All For One: This Skill allows the owner to recreate two different abilities and skills to form a new varied one which is based on the working principles of the abilities and skills used in the merging procedure.
The Abilities created through this Skill will have no side effects on the owner's body or mental condition.
This Skill can also create new beings by mixing different individuals' corpses and skills.

( Note: Certain prerequisite conditions, such as physical ability & skills required for the process, must be met before the merging can be done, the strength & specialty of the creature created will depend upon the base bodies they were experimented with ). This Skill consists of five different levels, which are :

• Amateur: the user needs to physically contact the body to activate the Skill / Unlock the Shadow Dimension.
• Intermediate: Unlock the Shadow Domain, which replaces the physical contact ( 10 m square meters radius with the Host at the center of it ), and Unlock the appearance change.
• Expert: Expansion of the Shadow Domain ( 100 m square meters radius with the Host at the center of it ) and Unlock the Inventory Sharing.
• Master: Expansion of Shadow Domain ( 1000 m square meters radius with the Host at the center of it ) and Unlock the Sharing of Senses & Positions.
• Grandmaster: Expansion of Shadow Domain ( 10 000 m square meters radius with the Host at the center of it ) and Unlock Evolution of the Skills.

" Hmm, so to put it simply, this ability is broken one that contains two parts which are ' Creation' or 'Merging' " Austin smiled " Luckily, I don't need to touch the body since I have already upgraded it to Level 2, so all I need it to be in an area of 10 meters from the body to activate the Skill!"

 

Austin checked the distance and nodded as he activated the Skill. He waited for a moment, but the Skill didn't work, and instead, he received some notifications in his interface.

When Austin finished reading the notifications, he was stupified. Basically, the System informed him that he needed to choose two keywords that would work as key orders to start either the Creation part of the Skill or the Merging part.

 

Austin thought for a moment before smirking as he remembered something.

" I will choose ' Arise ' as a command for the Creation part and ' Merge ' as a command for the Merging part " Austin confirmed his choices with the System and began his second try.

 

" Arise! " Austin commanded, trying to activate the Creation Part.

 

But the Skill failed another time, and he received another notification!

" Huh?! Crystal Soul ?! what is that ?! " Austin was confused by the reason for the failure, so he hurriedly checked the Database to look for an answer which he did find.

 

The Crystals Soul are items sold in the Shop. There are different grades of the Crystal Soul, with the cheapest one being Grade 1, which costs 10 Shopping points!

As for why Austin needs this item to activate the first part of the Skill, well, basically because he is trying to create a new being from a dead body, so he needs a soul to achieve that, which brings the Crystal soul to the picture which will give the new being a new soul.
As for the difference in Grade between the Crystal soul, it's actually quite simple, a Grade 1 Crystal soul can only support the Creation of a being up to Level 10 Max, so if Austin wants to create a stronger being, he needs a higher grade Crystal Soul.

For example:

• The Crystal Soul Grade 2: Costs 20 Shopping Points and supports the Creation of Being up to Level 20 Max.
• The Crystal Soul Grade 5: Costs 50 Shopping Points and supports the Creation of Being up to Level 50 Max.
• The Crystal Soul Grade 10: Costs 100 Shopping Points and supports the Creation of Being Level 100 Max.

 

" I see " Austin brought a Crystal Soul Grade 1 from the Shop for 10 Shopping points and started his third try again " I hope it goes well this time!"

 

" Arise!" Austin commanded, trying to activate the creation Part.

 

Unlike what Austin expected, nothing happened for the next few seconds. Austin wondered if he had given some wrong command or something.

Just as he was about to speak again, a black shadow appeared under his feet and covered Gally's body and head.

For over a minute, the Shadow kept wriggling around, and finally, a human being with no gender started appearing. This human being has the same height as Gally but with no hair or facial expression on his face, with no eyes, no ears, no mouth, and no nose. it was literally an empty face!.

 

This really scared Austin for a moment, thinking that the Skill had failed, but soon he received a notification!

Austin was overjoyed by the news. Even though this being had a creepy look, he could still change his appearance, and what's matter is that he gained a loyal subordinate.

 

Austin starts thinking about an appearance and a Name. Since Gally is a swordsman, it's evident that this Subordinate of his will also be a swordsman because it was clearly mentioned on the Database that the being created can inherit part of the original body's Skills.

After a lot of thinking, Austin found the fitting Name and appearance for his first Subordinate " Now, How can I change his appearance? "

 

Austin soon found the answer in the Database. All he needs to do is to think and imagine the appearance he wants while giving his Subordinate his Name, and the Subordinate's look will change automatically to the image he has in mind!

 

" From Now on, Your Name shall be Brain Unglaus!" Austin announced the Name loudly in a deep voice while keeping the image of the appearance he wanted in his mind.

 

The human being started changing his build and appearance until it looked like what Austin imagined!

A young man in his twenties who is 6 feet 3 inches tall ( 190 cm ). His face is well-proportioned and very handsome, with brown eyes and blue hair. He has bulging muscles and a strong body. He is equipped with chainmail and wears a necklace and ring, a blue shirt, grey pants, and brown boots.

 

The being, or Brain now, kneeled on his knee in front of Austin while looking at the ground and declared with the utmost respect.
" Brain Unglaus, greet my Lord and Creator !"

Austin was surprised by this display, but nonetheless, he nodded his head in acknowledgment and replied, " Rise!"

Brain did so and rose as he waited for the following orders in silence.

 

Austin glanced at his interface and noticed that what Brain was wearing from clothes and items were automatically brought from the Shop for 10 Shopping Points.

Austin thought in his mind - Since he is a swordsman, I should gift him a sword - Austin inspected the Shop and started looking for a good sword on it. After a while, he chose a good-looking katana and bought it.

 

Austin went to the top of the list of Low-Grade Swords and bought this sword for 100 Shopping Points. Even though the sword was of lower Grade, it was the best quality he could find in that category.

It can't be helped because the swords in the Shop are very expensive, and Austin doesn't have the amount of Shopping Points required to buy the middle-Grade or the high-Grade ones.
The Middle-Grade swords' prices range from 1000 Shopping Points to 10 000. As for the high-Grade ones, well, you can imagine just from the previous prices of the middle & lower Grades ones, so to put it simply, they are very expensive!

But even though the sword is of lower Grade, it still costs him 100 Shopping Points, and if we take into consideration the fact that 1 Shopping Point equals 1 Million Berries, then the sword price will be equivalent to 100 million Berries.
So the sword may be of low Grade to the System, but for this world, It's already a great sword!

 

Austin took out the sword from his Inventory and gave it to Brain.

" Take this sword. It's yours from now on!" Austin said

" Thank you, my lord!" Brain appeared to be surprised at first before he smiled happily as if he had won the world and took the sword carefully and inspected it.

 

"My lord, what's the name of this sword ?" Brain asked

" It doesn't have a name yet, so give it a fitting name!" Austin replied casually.

" Please, bestow upon me the honor of naming this sword!" Brain said and offered the sword with both his hand.

 

Austin was surprised by this gesture - Bro, just relax! I just want a casual comrade with me, and not this 'My lord' thing! - Austin sighed in his mind but didn't voice his thought and started thinking about a fitting name for the sword or, rather, the Katana.

Austin smiled after he found the fitting Name and declared, " Alright, I shall name it .... "
