Being a nothing but a beginner in fights, all I have is just this reckless courage.

For now, in this fight against the goblins, all I have to do is to empty my mind and smash the desk continuously at them.

And I did it. I took up the desk I threw before and then once again at the goblins.

Krrr!!

With cries of pain, they launched themselves towards me together. Being a monster, it seems even this tiny goblins have a quite intelligence.

"These pesky goblins!"

One of them grabbed my left arm and pushed his big dirty nails through it.

"Aargh!"

Instinctively, I tried to shake it off but yet it was for naught. He seemed to grab my hand very tightly as he continued his assault.

While one of them was on my arm, another one was coming at me from the below, probably to help and rescue his comrade who took quite a bit of beating from me.

"Huh?"

Rather than helping his fellow goblin who seemed to be in verge of dying because of him, the goblin behind just stomped in the injured goblin and jumped using it as an paddle to reach my head.

"Damn! I underestimated them!"

I thought it would help the fellow goblin, but instead it didn't care and attacked him. After all, in the end it is a goblin.

Krrrriii...!

With his sharpened nails, the goblin jumped aiming my head to kill me in one swipe. The nails despite being dirty are quite sharp.

The goblin on my arm already proved it. Even though I was ignoring the pain in my body, I knew that I was in no condition to dodge that goblin.

So, with no hesitation I just moved my left arm with the goblin latching on it and shoved it towards the airborne goblin.

Krrrriii!

The goblin's nails pierced through the other goblin who shrieked in pain and eventually it removed it's grip from my arm making me feel a bit relieved.

Though the injury was not small, and the blood was flowing quite a bit.

But it was not the time to worry about the injuries. This moment was perfect for a counter. All three are open with no defense.

This time, I grabbed the desk with both of my hands, and ignoring the pain just slammed it with all of my force with the intent to kill them.

"Die!"

Bang! Bang! Boom!

Green blood splashed around the room, and even splashed on me but I continued to slam the desk.

"Haah! Haah!"

And the next I could see was the three corpses of goblins lying down squashed into paste.

"I-I did it. I killed them."

As soon the goblins died, the gate closed itself and it disappeared. The goblins also disappeared leaving some of their ears and worn out jewelry which they wore with their rag garments.

The classroom was already empty, since all of them evacuated except Asuna who froze in fear because of goblins.

I turned my head to look at her sitting down on the floor with no movement. I got a bit worried about her, but since there is no visible injury on her, I decided to not approach her.

'Even though I saved her, she doesn't know me nor do I know about her. Though my memories of previous life know about her.'

With a sigh, I finally smiled a bit since I completed the first danger with perfection.

Well, not in perfection since I got heavily injured.

But then as soon I became relieved and my nerves became normal, the effect of adrenaline vanished. And then what came over was the pain, the dreadful pain I never experienced in my life.

I tried to endure it, but still I couldn't help but shout a bit in pain.

"Aargh! Grr... Damn it! It hurts so much!"

"Kobayashi-san! Are you alright?"

Before I could say anything, Asuna who seemed to be scared was near me, mending the injuries with after tearing a piece of cloth from her skirt.

It didn't do much for me though still it was better than nothing.

"I am alright. Don't worry, Yuuki-san."

Even though I saved her, and have gained some favourable points from her with this event, I am not in the mood to think about it.

The pain overshadowed the rest of my thoughts, making me hard to control my consciousness.

After tying my left arm properly, she finally looked at me. For some reason, a wind blew fluttering her chestnut hair which enhanced her beauty at that moment. And then with a bit of small smile on her beautiful face as she pushed her hair behind her ears, Yuuki Asuna showed her gratitude.

"Thank you for saving me, Kobayashi-san."

'Is this what they call a heroine?! Her smile made my heart skip a beat!'

With a bit of embarrassment I quickly turned my head from her gaze, and accept her thanks.

"It's alright. No need to thank me for such a small thing."

"How can it be a small thing?! And you even got injured for saving... Wha...!"

Before she could complete her sentence, the ground started to shake in a very high magnitude.

'An earthquake?!'

Without thinking much, I quickly grabbed Asuna with my right hand and hugged her under my body frame to protect her.

Shake! Shake!

The ground rumbled crazily, but soon after a couple of seconds it stopped. Luckily there wasn't much damage and cracks on the classroom which prevented further possible damage.

"It's good that nothing happened."

"K-Kobayashi-san!!"

Asuna who was in my bosom spoke very softly looking at me with a blush.

"!!!"

I didn't realise until her voice accompanied with her smell and warmth made me understand the aftermath of my actions.

I quickly released her and turned my face sideways to prevent from looking at her.

"S-sorry. I just instinctively..."

"It's alright. I know that Kobayashi-san was trying to protect me."

'Is this a heroine! Her smile is too bright!'

I couldn't help but wanted to hug her once more and smooch her as much I want.

"Though... Kobayashi-san is a pervert!"

"Huh?"

And then I looked down at the tent in my pants and finally realised the problem.

Sorry, Asuna-chan that I am a pervert.
