Chapter 10: Mountain Pot

Vasha arrived at the ground floor with Xiao Ming on his shoulders.

He looked around the main hall for Qinyue, whom he immediately spotted, talking to some other disciples.

“Hmm… Boss?” Sensing his gaze, the young lady turned to look at him.

As she started walking towards him, Vasha could not help but admire her. She was a beautiful young woman of about 22 with a curvy figure. She had raven black hair and blue eyes. Her hair was tied in a ponytail and she wore a form-fitting cloth with an armored shoulder pad that only served to accentuate her figure.  As she walked, her bountiful chest jiggled about, begging to be freed from their prison.

“You are staring again boss.” The young lady spoke when she arrived in front of him.

“Oh am I? Sorry, a force of habit.” Vasha apologized and rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment. Qinyue was no soft permission, this young lady was a very capable fighter in the Beast Lord realm and any man who had messed with her had paid dearly with their lives. This was one of the reasons Vasha chose her has 3rd seat when he was forming his faction a year prior.

“Are you done with your business upstairs, and who did that spirit pressure belong to? Most of the boys collapsed, foaming at the mouth.” She queried.

“Oh, that? It belonged to Elder Shi and Longtian Xucheng. Yea, we’re done, they left a few minutes ago.” Vasha answered.

“Longtian Xucheng!? Of the Twin Devouring Dragon Blade!?” She exclaimed.

“Yeah, that’s the one? Maybe I should have gotten you an autograph, after all, he was strong and handsome looking.” Vasha teased her.

“You should have Boss. Damn, you don’t have an eye for such things do you?”

“What! I just risked my ass fighting some weirdo. Did you think collecting autographs was on my mind? Wait a minute, where were you when I was fighting the intruder? You’re supposed to defend your faction leader when he is in danger aren’t you?” Vasha spoke like he had been wronged

“Good acting, Boss. Maybe you should have joined the theatre instead?” She chided coolly.

“You little…”

“Besides, I knew you could take care of the fool. I was here making sure everything was in order.” She continued with such confidence that Vasha was left speechless.

“Haa” He sighed.

Qinyue furrowed her brows upon realizing that there was a naked woman on Vasha’s shoulders.

“Hmm, is that naked lady the pet I picked up for you earlier?” She asked.

‘You’re pretty slow, you know that.’ Vasha couldn’t help but shake his head when he realized how long it took for her to notice the naked woman on his shoulder.

But he quickly shook off the thought and replied.

“She’s the one?”

“Oh, how was she? How did she taste?” She began to bombard him with questions.

“Good I guess? Didn’t necessarily want to forcefully take her virginity though. I had no choice.” He replied.

“Pah. Wasted in your hands, you men don’t know how to enjoy a woman. You should have left her with me. I would have had her begging for you to impale her with your meat stick in no time. But know, your sadist heart couldn’t help but try and ruin her, armature, pah!” She spat and spoke with such vulgar words her parents would hardly believe they came out of her mouth.

If it was any other person that spoke to him like that, he would have had their heads. But he was used to Qinyue, after all, she was one of the first people he got acquainted with when he first joined the sect some years back.

She was also the one who captured Xiao Ming and gave her to Vasha.

“So did she he the Spirit Replenishing physique as I deduced?” She suddenly asked in a low voice. She made sure to activate a sound-blocking Talisman before speaking to deter any would-be eavesdropper.

“Yes, I was able to confirm it. Taking her Primordial Yin greatly expanded my mind and unlocked sorts of parts of my brain. I feel like I could comprehend more intents for building my Matrix.” He replied.

“Ok, can I have her next? I grew very fond of her during our battle, she’s quite talented but she lacks a lot of experience. She probably never left the supervision of her master during her stay in the Ethereal River Sect.” She pleaded.

“Hmm, yes you can. But she still reports to me, I have other ideas for her. Besides, I came down here for something important. Get her some clothes and somebody to treat her wounds.” Vasha commanded

Qinyue saluted “Sure thing boss.”

Vasha nodded his head and continued.

“I need you to do another thing for me too. Ah Jun is currently indisposed. I want you to take a head count of the number of men alive and the loot in possession. Check to see if the captives are properly secure and record this information in a format the Administration Hall is ok with. I don’t want to be on their bad side.”

“Sure thing boss.” Qinyue quickly replied and took Xiao Xiao off of Vasha's shoulders and started briskly walking away.

“Wait!” Vasha shouted at the Qinyue, bringing her to a halt.

“I have an announcement to make!” He increased his voice this time around so that the others could hear him. Despite their super hearing, none of them had dared eavesdrop on his earlier conversation with Qinyue.

“Pass this message to the other. By Order of Commander Longtian Xucheng of Operation ‘Ethereal River Crush’, this expedition is hereby ended. All personnel is to return to the sect starting tomorrow.”

“Wohoo”

“What, we are going home?”

“Finally”

“Meh, I didn’t get to make enough contributions this time around.”

The main hall erupted in cheers. While some of them were happy to go home, others lamented that they could not make more contributions.

“I want everyone to get their things ready, we leave tomorrow at first light,” Vasha added.

He walked out of the main hall back up through the stairs he came from. Walking past his room, he saw Ah Jun still laying on the floor but he completely ignored him.

He eventually went up the stairs leading to the third floor, picked a room, entered the room, and locked the door. He remove two Talismans from his shorts to which he applied Qi, causing them to glow. He placed the Talismans on the door.

“That should do it. A barrier talisman and a Qi suppression Talisman to prevent any Qi from leaving the room.”

“Now, what do we have here?” Vasha sat in the middle of the room and his palm was Jiao Xuan’s ring.

Above a dark forest, two figures were flying in the air. There was one figure in the front and another behind. The person in front was Longtian Xucheng and the person behind was Elder Houyan Shi.

“Huhu…Lord Xucheng, why the haste?” Elder Shi questioned Longtian Xucheng while panting.

“I have a bad feeling, hurry up. We must make haste for the second outpost.” Longtian Xucheng did not bother looking back as he increased his speed further.

‘Goddamn brat, what the hell are you, an inexhaustible well?’ Elder Shi gritted his teeth and tried to increase his speed. Even though cultivators beyond the Demon Gate could levitate, most of them did not use it for long-distance journeys.

Levitating required using your spirit to mimic telekinesis. The spiritual awakening was one of the requirements for entering the Demon-Gate, meaning cultivators at this level had powerful spirits and could therefore use it to levitate other objects and themselves.

The reason why Elder Shi was tired was that this telekinesis was very limited. Not only did it drain mental strength, but it was also incapable of objects that were too heavy. The movement was it was also slow to the point whereby ordinary cultivators in the Beast-King realm were faster than them during flight.

Most cultivators circumvented this by applying a solid platform of Qi at their feet or a continuous burst of Qi to remain in the air and increase their speed. While others utilize wind, flame intents, or any flight-based intent to boost their speed and compensate for the mental drain. But the disadvantage all these other methods had in common was that they drained too much Qi.

That was why Elder Shi was shocked that Longtian Xucheng could move this quickly without any sign of discomfort whatsoever. He used his wind intent to aid his telekinesis and even he was already exhausted. But as far as he could tell, there was no sign of any special intent coming from Longtian Xucheng, meaning he was using just pure telekinesis.

“Take this Qi replenishing pill to regain your energy before we get there, we might encounter some trouble there.” Longtian Xucheng suddenly threw a yellow pill at Elder Shi, which he caught, sniffed, and put in his mouth.

‘Good pill.’ Elder Shi thought to himself when he felt the pill begin to dissolve and replenish his Qi at great speeds.

‘This must have been a batch produced by one of the sect Grandmaster Alchemists. Lucky bastard, I guess that’s to be expected by a personal disciple of Core Elder Numbian.’ Elder Shi lamented with jealousy.

“What kind of trouble?” Elder Shi asked without thanking Longtian Xucheng for the pill.

“I don’t know, but as far as I can tell, Outpost Mountain Pot is far more vulnerable than Little Garden. Despite that, the remnant chose to attack it instead. This may be a distraction and their true target was Mountain Pot all along. Elder Ko is at the Ethereal River Sect, meaning Mountain pot is the most vulnerable presently.” Longtian Xucheng clarified.

“But…” Before Elder Shi could further question him, they had arrived in front of the Mountain Pot outpost.

The Mountain Post outpost was in no way special. It was simply a pavilion carved out of a large rock. The first sect master of the Ethereal River Sect over 600 years ago called it so because it reminded him of a mountain he saw as a young man in the Boundless Sky Mountain Range.

Elder Shi looked around and said.

“It’s is to quit...”

“Boom!!!” an explosion suddenly rocked the outpost.
