Fate’s hand quickened his pace, swapping between bottles until it happened upon a bottle whose faint red glow from his pocket made the boy grin slightly. Just then, though, the boar began its fierce charge, bolting toward him even faster than before!

[Grunt!!!]

Strangely, though, Fate did not attempt to outrun it or throw himself out of the way, and even more strange, was that he had allowed his grasp on the healing potion to slip, a mysterious glint passing through his eyes as he let it slip back into the darkness of his pocket as he stared down the charging boar…

『...What the f*** do you think you’re doing?!! Move, or else we’ll both get killed!!!』

A blue light flickered from inside the pocket, the voice of Fate’ doppelganger ringing out from within, seemingly attempting to overshadow the rumbling of the ground in the wake of the beast’s attack, but it received no response from Fate, who continued to watch as the boar grew closer…

Fate raised his hand from his pocket, his index and ring fingers coming together to form a triangle, which he pointed towards the approaching beast...

『This isn’t the illuminati conspiracy hour, so stop with the weird-ass hand signs and jump out of the way!!!』
The boar was soon only a little more than two feet away from him, its unceasing legs pounding the earth below it with ferocity as it continued to draw closer to Fate!

Meanwhile, strange, small streams of red and blue light had begun to radiate around his conjoined fingertips, the eerie glow piercing the dim light of the night…

-I don’t need to be afraid...don’t freak out...just take aim…

『Wait...don’t tell me that you’re gonna…!!!』

The boar was now barely a few inches from Fate’s spot in front of the tree, its beady eyes gleaming with a carnal light as its powerful hooves crushed the earth beneath them with tremendous force, sending it soaring directly towards Fate’s head!
However, right at that moment...

『Oh, holy sh*...!!!』

Fate: “...『Fire』!!!”

The swirling light around Fate’s hand instantly flashed red, as a tiny spark emerged from within Fate’s fingers, igniting the night with an explosion of red flames that burst into existence between the boy and the boar!
