The ashen dark world around the three figures froze…

Fate raised his head, meeting the Witch with a pair of upward curved eyebrows and a sad frown, and the Witch, in turn, sighed as her solemn expression softened into a remorseful and contemplative one. In contrast to the two, including its counterpart, the creature had several beaming, evil grins spreading across its body, making it look as if zippers were consuming its flesh…

It covered its eye with one hand, proceeding to take in an extremely long breath before casually jumping back into the conversation…

???: “Oh sh*t, he actually said it!!! Yes, yes, yes!!! This is what I’m talking about!!! Witchy, do you see it, the sadness and patheticness in his eyes?!~ It’s like looking into the dead eyes of the puppy you drowned in the river because it got more attention from your parents than you did, f*cking hilarious!!!~ Hahahahahahaha!!!!”

The creature now began to jump up and down, the wound in its chest still oozing out black blood and the flames searing its chest still burning, in glee as it laughed at the two in front of itself!

However, they remained silent, allowing the stagnant world to move again, pushed only by the deranged laughter of the sinister being. Still, the two remained silent...until the Witch began her response…

Witch of Fate: “Indeed, I did…”

She spoke in a cold and indifferent tone, in stark contrast to the face she was currently making, though this didn’t seem to change Fate’s own sorrowful expression. The creature immediately stopped laughing, the smiles across its body receding into its inky black skin, as its single, golden pupil rose to the center of its face, while a slack-jawed mouth emerged…

It actually seemed as if the creature was completely stupefied at that moment, but it still went ignored.

Fate: “...Why...just why…?”

A dejected and melancholic voice, almost as if he was crying, drifted from Fate as he responded, while tears began to fill his eyes…

The Witch, seeming to have realized that her expression didn’t match her tone, shifted swapped her caring and saddened smile for her, what the creature at least considered to be, her trademark expressionless state.

Fate’s eyes, now leaking with tears, began to seethe with rage, as he gnashed his teeth and snarled at the Witch’s display!

Fate: “...*chatter*...”

Again, the Witch went unfazed, not even showing a look of contempt as she stared at him, completely overlooking his overflowing anger and sorrow…

Witch of Fate: “Though it was not the most efficient, nor the most well-intentioned, I felt that I had no way around it. After all, sooner or later, one of my other siblings...more powerful ones than that easily placated sister of mine, would have forced my hand…”

Suddenly, Fate leaped forward, reaching out both of his arms as his hands took hold of the Witch’s throat, while tears streamed out of his eyes!

The creature, meanwhile, began to smile, once more, seemingly over the shock it received from the Witch’s blunt admission of the truth…

Fate: “Do you... have any idea what... you stole from me?!! The life I had barely begun to live, the friends I could have made, the experiences that I didn’t have a chance to come close to having, and all of it because you wanted to take the easiest route?!!?!”

The unmoving, unfeeling Witch withstood his grasp, motionlessly taking in his sadness and frustration while the darkness around them now alit with midnight blue lightning, tossing and turning, rending the black sea with its fury as the creature watched on with glee!
