“Huh, never expected the movie to actually be good.” I said as the two of us walked out of the theaters, hands holding one another.

“I thought it was amazing.” Said Yasaka. A smile on her face, but I could tell her thoughts were somewhere else.

“Bah, it was alright. I’m surprised they got decent Martial Artists in the movie. Although, it’s a shame that they had to make the infected the bad guys.” I sighed.

“Ah, yeah. I’m astonished that the writer used that in the movie. Luckily, it was alright, as the ending did bring me satisfaction.” Said Yasaka.

“Perhaps, but in the end. As long as we enjoyed it, then I’m fine with how it turned out.” I told her.

“Indeed. Now that it’s this late, is it fine if we go eat dinner?” She asked, moving closer to me as she bumped her shoulder onto mine.

Wrapping my arm around her waist to bring her closer, “Yes, how about the new restaurant that came out?”

“Are you sure? What about the one you promised yourself to go to once you came back?” She asked.

“Eh, it’s fine. It’s better if I change up some things every once in a while.” Answering her questions.

“Hmph, alright then. Hopefully what they serve is delicious.” She said,

As we walked through the city. The sun was beginning to set and the moon peeking upwards. It took us two a few minutes to reach the new restaurant, as it was close to the theater we went to. The place was small, but a delicious smell was emanating from the doors. I could see Yasaka interested in the place as I finally felt hunger hit me once we opened the doors to see what they served.

“Huh, I didn't think it would be asian.” I said.

“Asian?” Asked Yasaka.

“Ah, sorry. I meant Yanese.” Correcting myself as Yasaka rolled her eyes.

“Asian … It's been a while since I heard that word.” Hummed Yasaka.

“Huh? Do you know about Earth?” I asked her all of a sudden.

“.... Love, would it be possible if we can buy our food as takeout?” She returned another question.

“Uhm, sure? I thought we could eat here.” Shrugging at her own question.

“Good, now. What do you think about noodles?”

“I’d love some.” But before I could say my other options, I felt my phone begin to ring. Taking it out, I saw the name of who was calling me. “Sorry Yasaka. I have to take this call.”

“It’s fine, give me the card so that I can pay for our food.” Putting her hands up front.

Giving it to her, I walked outside and away from the restaurant. A few steps later, I answered the call with a frown in my face.

“It’s my day off, Leonhardt. I thought I already told you not to bother me for at least two days.” I grumbled.

“Sorry man. But I’ve been getting constantly bothered with messages once again after your recent work with the Catastrophe appearing near Yan and Higashi. Heck, I’m already at my wits end! Do they seriously think I’m your secretary or something?!” Cried Leonhardt as he spoke with a frustrated tone of voice.

“Hurry up, just tell me why you called.” Frowning at his whining but not angry because I knew many who saw me near him either believed he was my apprentice or helper when he was simply my friend and driver.

Tch … Lucky bastard having the time of his life was a sexy wife.” I could hear his pouting through the phone, and I’m sure he could feel my smug through the phone. “But yeah, there was this particular message that I received recently. Get this man. A company called Babel is looking to hire you! Not only that, but royalty from both Higashi and Yan want to meet you! Like, what the hell?! Don’t you have an email or something?!” He cried.

“Email? Wait … oh shit. I don’t think I wrote down my own in the application when I first began working.” Chuckling with a hint of surprise. I couldn’t help but remember when I first applied to the company, Contingency Contract. I didn’t remember the exact details, but I do remember that I had to sign some forms before taking a test. Well, the test was what took most of my memory, as I had to fight someone in order for the judges to see if I’m accepted or not. Safe to say that I aced the fighting portion with a straight A, but couldn’t help but frown at the destruction I caused at the facility. Then was the fact that I had to take some classes due to the career I picked, which sucked.

“... Dammit, that explains why I had to deal with these constant messages over the past 3 years.” He grumbled.

“Sorry about that, man.”

He sighed, “It’s fine, I’ll be sending it through you. But for god’s sake! Can you please update your forms so that this shit doesn’t happen?! I’m already getting tired of directing everything to your email!”

“Heh, sure. I’ll do that tomorrow. Take care, man and stay safe.”

“Sure. Have fun with your date.”

“Thanks,” Finally hanging up the phone. Walking back to the shop, I saw Yasaka already paying for her food. With a quick smile and thanks that made the male cashier blush, she quickly left and went up to me. Grabbing my arm and giving it a tight squeeze.

“Are you done?” She asked.

“Yeah, just some work issues. I might have to leave tomorrow to go write some forms in job. But hey, did you know that the royalty in Yan and Higashi wants to meet me?” Telling her what I learned.

“Really? Yan and Higashi? The two countries want to meet you? What for?” She asked.

“Nothing much. Perhaps it's due to what I do for work.”

“Catastrophe Messenger? I thought you simply recorded information and sent warning signals to the nearby nomadic cities and towns?” She said,

“That too.” I told her with a nod. But in all, I only destroy the Catastrophe and write down a small report of what exactly it was.

“Hmm, let’s go home. I have something to talk to you about.” She said,

“Alright, let’s go. It is getting a bit chilly.”

Afterwards, we went home and finished our dinner. It was just me and Yasaka sitting on our sofa as we laid down against one another and watched the news.

“So, what was it that you wanted to talk to me about?” Reminding her offhandedly.

“Well, it’s been 2 years since we married.”

“Yup,” Nodding to what she said.

“And I love you. You love me.”

“Mhmm. Where’s this going Yasaka.” I said to her,

“You’re not from this dimension too huh.”

“What?” Blinking as I processed what she said.

“Did you seriously think the word Asian exists here?” She asked me a question.

“Uh, no?”

“What about America?”

“Well.”

“Maybe the fact that you keep on researching more and more about certain topics in our home computer. Like space-time originium arts, technology, or study. Then there’s the fact that some of the names in the history search were names or words that people have never heard of.” Said Yasaka.

“... Huh, I thought I already cleared my search history.” I said.

“You did it for a time, but forgot to do it a few times before. That’s how I was able to find out.” She said, her body not moving since she laid herself on top of me.

“So … what’s going to happen?” I asked her.

“Nothing. We still keep on being married and happy.” She said,

“R-Really?” Stumbling over the word.

She looked up to me, staring me straight into my eyes.

“Of course you idiot, I love you. You love me, and that won’t change. Although, I shouldn’t be surprised by this.”

“How?”

“Because I too am in a similar situation as yourself.”

“How did that happen?” I couldn’t help but ask.

“Well, let’s just say that someone was messing with unstable spacial magic and an idiotic pervert decided to buff said magic.” She sighed.

“Oh, well. For me it was way different from what you said.”

“How so?” She asked.

“I died.”

“Huh?”

“Yeah, death by triple singularity. Not sure exactly in what way I could have survived but at one point, I was being flattened, crushed, stretched, and experiencing the end. Once everything was dark, here I was in a teenager's body.”

“Oh my.” She said with a shocked voice.

“Yeah, though. It’s kind of weird that I haven’t been able to find other people like me. But hey, at least you came from earth, right? Although, it’s weird that I have never heard of magic.” I told her.

“Well, magic does exist where I come from.” Said Yasaka.

“Weird, perhaps it’s because we might come from different places.” I told her.

“Perhaps.”

We stayed quiet for a while longer. Only for a question to pop up in my mind.

“Hey, what was your life back there?” I asked her.

“My life? Do you mean my past?”

“Yeah, I want to know. Please?”

“Hmmm …. How about we take a quick shower and go to our bedroom. I can tell you all about it there.”

An hour later, the two of us were on our bed. Listening to her voice as she recounted her past in great detail. How she came from a world filled with the supernatural, an immortal life, born into a royal family of some kind and becoming a queen of her nation and supernatural faction. I was astonished to hear that she had a daughter that she loved but lost back into her home dimension. Never to be seen again, and all due to an idiotic decision of a breast loving pervert. Stuck here in this world for a couple of years, trying to survive and thrive until she found her own place here.

“Wait, if you were that powerful. How come-”

“How come I’m weak?” Interrupting me.

“Y-Yeah.”

She giggled, “Well, it’s because I lost my connection to the ley lines and the fact that you’re stronger than me, love.”

“Ehe, thanks.” Feeling my cheeks turn red due to her praise.

“It would be nice if we can return. Perhaps you can meet my daughter.”

“... I’ll see what I can do.”

“Thank you.”
