I held my hands up in surrender, trying to show that I meant no harm. "I'm not a villain. I'm just a superhero trying to help. I promise that I'm not a threat."

Major Brooklyn glared at me; his eyes narrowed in suspicion. "Oh please," he sneered, gesturing towards my left hand which was still clutched around the dragon toy. "I caught you red-handed, planting an evil inside a child's room. Amourardent has truly outdone herself this time, sending someone as pitiful as you to do her dirty work. I'll be sure to report about this little incident."

I knew that I had to do something, anything, to prove my innocence and fast. "This isn't what it looks like," I protested, trying my best to sound sincere. "I didn't plant this toy here. I was just trying to help the girl and get rid of the monster."

The man looked at me with disgust, his hand still firmly planted on the woman's shoulder. "You're just a new villain, trying to worm your way out of this," he spat out, his voice dripping with contempt. "Well, good thing I stopped you before you could do any more harm."

Before I could even get a word out, the Major lunged at me with a menacing fist flying through the air, narrowly missing my face only thanks to my quick reaction and causing a gust of wind to whip past my cheek. I quickly ducked and somersaulted, using the momentum to spring back onto my feet. Thank God I was a school champion in gymnastics. Seven years ago.

I frantically searched the room for something, anything, that could serve as a weapon. My gaze landed on a lamp sitting on a nearby table and I snatched it up, using it to deflect the man's next punch.

Despite his impressive strength, I was slippery as a frog, and I zigzagged around the room, using furniture as shield, knowing that if I could just keep out of his grasp, I could tire him out and possibly find a way to escape.

However, the Major was relentless, ferociously attacking me with all of his might, so my calculations were wrong, and it was me who was slowing down. The exhaustion started to set in and I knew I couldn't keep this up forever.

Just as I was about to throw in the towel, an opportunity presented itself. The man was momentarily distracted by a pillow I threw at him, and I saw my chance. As the feathers were flying everywhere, I inhaled while mustering all of my strength, pushed him back and sprinted towards the door.

I burst into the hallway, my heart racing and my body trembling with adrenaline. I needed to put as much distance between me and the man as possible before he could catch up.

I sprinted down the hallway, my feet hammering the floor. I could hear the Major's footsteps behind me, but I didn't dare look back. I just kept running, focusing all of my energy on getting away.

After what felt like an eternity of sprinting down the never-ending hallway, I finally reached the end, my heart pounding in my chest as I threw myself through the door and into another hallway. In a panic, I turned and slammed the door shut behind me, hoping it would slow down the Major hot on my heels. But my efforts were in vain, as the Major's strength and speed proved too much, and he easily punched through the door and sent it flying towards me. I let out a terrified scream as the door crashed into my back, knocking me to the ground.

As I frantically scrambled to my feet, my mind raced to come up with a plan to escape the relentless Major. I frantically searched my surroundings for any way out, and finally, my eyes landed on a window on the other side of the room. I took a break for it, my feet pounding against the floor as I raced towards the window and threw it open, launching myself out into the street. I hit the ground hard, my hands and knees scraping against the pavement as I tried to catch my breath.

Just as I looked up, I saw the Major jumping through the same window, his face contorted with anger and determination. I pushed myself up and started running again, my feet battering against the pavement as I frantically tried to put as much distance between us as possible. But the Major was right behind me, his footsteps growing louder and closer with each passing second.

In a desperate attempt to escape, I frantically searched for a way out and finally spotted a nearby alleyway. Without a second thought, I darted towards it, hoping it would provide the cover and escape I so desperately needed.

As I frantically burst through the alleyway, my heart was pounding with fear and adrenaline. I frantically scanned my surroundings, desperate for an escape route. And then, finally, I spotted it. A fire escape ladder, dangling off the side of a nearby building.

Without a second thought, I sprinted towards the ladder. The Major's footsteps resonated behind me, growing louder and closer. But I didn't dare turn around, in all movies I saw that was a fatal mistake. I just kept running, reaching out towards the ladder.

I grabbed hold of the cold metal rungs and began to ascend, my fingers clasping tightly to each cold one. The Major's hands grasped at my feet, attempting to pull me down, but I refused to let go.

I pushed on, my heart racing with fear and determination, and then I pulled a lever, and the ladder surged up. Major glared at me, and tried to jump up, and to my horror, he was only a few inches close.

I pulled the ladder even more and prepared to kick him, but he observed me, and backed away, probably to run and jump. So, I scrambled and climbed up, until I reached the top. I hoisted myself onto the roof, panting and sweating as I tried to catch my breath.

I turned to see the Major disappearing back into the alleyway, and I let out a sigh of relief, knowing that I had escaped. For now.

But I knew that I couldn't stay on the roof forever. I had to find a way out of this mess, and fast. I frantically fumbled in my pocket for my comcom, my hands shaking as I pulled it out and dialed Dimensor's number.

I anxiously waited for the phone to ring, my heart pounding in my chest. When Dimensor finally answered, his voice was dripping with irritation. "Isabella? What do you want now? I thought I told you to figure out Queen Street on your own."

"Dimensor, please," I begged, my voice shaking with fear. "I need your help. I tried to deal with it just like you asked me to. But then Major Brooklyn showed up and accused me of being a villain. He tried to attack me, and I had to use my powers to defend myself. Now I'm on the roof of a building, and I don't know what to do."

There was a long pause on the other end of the line, and I could hear the sound of heavy breathing. "The Major Brooklyn?" Dimensor said, his voice laced with confusion. "What are you talking about? I thought he was on the other side of town."

When I started crying instead of answering, Dimensor let out a sigh of frustration. "Fine, I'll come and get you, but you have to promise me that you'll be more careful from now on. I can't keep rescuing you every time you get into trouble. Just try to stay out of more trouble until I arrive."

"Okay," I said, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. "Thank you, Dimensor. I'll see you soon."

I hung up the comcom with a huff, feeling completely drained and utterly exhausted. I knew that I had to follow Dimensor's instructions and stay out of trouble, so I quickly made my way down from the roof and into a nearby apartment. I didn't want to risk being caught by Major Brooklyn or anyone else, so I moved quietly and cautiously through the empty rooms, trying to blend into the shadows like a damn ninja.

As I made my way through the apartment, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. I didn't know who these people were or why they weren't home, and the silence of the place felt heavy and oppressive, like the weight of the world was pressing down on my shoulders.

Finally, I reached the front door and cautiously opened it, peering out into the street. I could see people walking and cars driving past, but nobody seemed alerted. No superhero in sight then.

Taking a deep breath, I stepped out into the street and started to walk. I knew that I had to get as far away from the apartment as possible, and I hoped that Dimensor would be able to find me soon. I couldn't wait to get out of this godforsaken street and away from all the danger.

Then I saw him. Major Brooklyn. He was at the end of the street, and our eyes met. Gulping, I waved at him, and started running again. Despite my superspeed, he was faster, and on my heels.

Just as I was about to give up hope, the Dimencar suddenly popped into existence just a few feet away from me. Without hesitation, I raced towards the car and threw open the door, climbing inside. Dimensor was sitting in the driver's seat, looking at me with a mixture of anger and concern.

"Isabella, what the hell were you thinking?" he said, his voice laced with frustration. "Do you have any idea how much trouble you could have caused? You could have gotten yourself killed, or worse!"

Major Brooklyn crashed into the car, and the world wobbled. Dimensor pushed the pedal down, and we raced out of the reach of the superhero. "I'm sorry, Dimensor," I said, my voice shaking with fear and remorse. "It just kinda happened."

Dimensor let out a sigh and shook his head. "I know you meant well, Isabella," he said, his voice softening slightly. "But you have to be more careful. We'll have to have a talk with the Major and try to clear things up, but this suit is burned. You're lucky to be alive."

"So, what do we do now?" I asked, my voice filled with curiosity and a hint of frustration.

Dimensor glanced over at me and grinned, the corners of his mouth turning up in a sly smile. "Well, first things first," he said, his voice laced with amusement. "I noticed that you're still holding onto that dragon toy. I'm assuming that you managed to catch it back at the apartment?"

I nodded and held up the dragon, which was still spitting out tiny flames. "Yeah, it was causing all sorts of trouble. That damn thing was causing chaos wherever it went. Good thing I managed to catch it before it caused even more damage."

Dimensor opened a glovebox, and I placed the dragon inside and closed it, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. I couldn't wait to get rid of that annoying little creature.

But then I couldn't help but feel a sense of confusion and disbelief, I couldn't believe that everything had gone wrong so quickly, and I was desperate to understand what was going on. "I don't understand. Why did Major Brooklyn think that I was a villain? I thought that our job was to stop them, not help them."

Dimensor let out a sigh and shook his head, his eyes filled with frustration. "It's not that simple, Isabella," he said, his voice laced with frustration. "This job was for a supervillain, so in a sense, Major Brooklyn was right. We were working with the bad guys, even if it was for a good cause."

I stared at Dimensor in shock, my mind racing with questions. "But how can working with villains ever be the right thing to do?" I asked, my voice filled with disbelief. "Don't they always end up causing more harm than good?"

Dimensor only grumbled and told me not to talk, his eyes glued to the road ahead. I fidgeted with my fingers, my nerves getting the best of me as I glanced out the window. Every time we turned a corner, I thought I saw the Major's familiar form, only to be relieved when it was just a random passerby.

It seemed to me like we would never be able to shake him off our tail. "Dimensor, can you please drive a little faster?" I said, my voice filled with anxiety and desperation. "I don't want to get caught by Major Brooklyn. I didn't join the team only to end up in prison. I want to be a hero, not a criminal."

He let out a sigh and shook his head, his eyes glued to the road ahead. "I'm sorry, Isabella, but I can't go any faster. We have to be careful and make sure that we don't attract any attention. If we're caught, we'll both end up behind bars. Traffic cops are no joke."

I let out a frustrated groan and leaned back in my seat, my arms crossed over my chest. "But how are we supposed to clear things up with him if we can't even find him?" I asked, my voice overfilling with frustration. "I can't believe that you lied to me. Why did you tell me that I was a hero, when I was in reality working for villains?"

Dimensor let out a sigh and shook his head, his eyes filled with remorse. "I'm sorry, Isabella," he said. "I didn't want to overwhelm you with all the details. I thought it would be easier if you just thought that you were a hero. I never meant to deceive you or put you in danger."

I sulked in my seat, feeling angry and hurt. "But that wasn't fair," I said with obvious resentment. "You shouldn't have given me these powers if you were just going to use me like this. I trusted you, and you betrayed that trust."

Dimensor turned to look at me, a pained expression on his face. "I know that this isn't easy to understand, Isabella," he said sincerely. "But please, try to see things from my perspective. We're trying to earn the best buck, and sometimes that means working with both heroes and villains. It's not always black and white, and the lines can get blurry. It was a direct order from Amourardent and I couldn’t refuse. Trust me, she is scary, I wouldn't want to cross her."

As he spoke, a large SUV honked loudly behind us. He jumped in surprise and accidentally honked back, causing me to burst out laughing. I couldn't help it; the whole situation was just too ridiculous.

"I can't believe that you're laughing right now," Dimensor said, an astonished look on his face. "We're in the middle of a crisis and you're laughing."

"I know, I know," I said, still chuckling. "It's just that this whole situation is so absurd. I can't believe that I'm a villain now. I mean, how did I even end up here?"
