Well that nightly visit sure gave us a large amount of information.
At least now we know what kind of world the both of us live in...

Our mother was quite vague to us about the origin of this world.
Why island float and such that the only words she said were...

"Because there are scary monsters below..."

Teaching us only, common things like the language of this new world.

After our talk, he agreed to help and tell us more about this place setting up a meeting place after our practice.
Then, I sneakily went back to his veranda and showed him a bit of magic trick using my own shadow to push me up towards the roof.

He gaped at the scene of what he just saw as I waved my hand towards me and said goodbye.

As I returned to our own veranda...
I was greeted by Tori who had a bright expression.

「Talia, your back...
where did you go?」

『I went to visit our step-brother...』

「Oh right...
we did have one.
You met him already?」

『Yes, he's quite interesting.
The fact that he's a reincarnated himself was a surprise.』

「Hey wait? He's a reincarnated as well?」

『Yup, but I didn't sense the blessing of the spirit lord in him.
Though, I did accidentally scare him a bit to keep him from running or doing anything suspicious.』

A pause came to them...

「It was a fun time wasn't it.」

Tori was showing a melancholic smile as she said those words recalling those days.

『Such a shame her life wasn't as long-lived as yours...
Well, at least we brought a bit of morality of my time to this world.』

「Indeed.
I'm quite jealous of you.

To live in such a peaceful world is quite fortunate.」

『It's not all sunshine and rainbows though...』

「I know...」

As we returned to our bed.
We slept together as both of us cherished one another.

『Don't worry, as always...
I'll never let you fight these battles alone...』Talie said to her.

As Tori gently smiled as she heard it
Both of them gazed at each other before snuggling closely before closing eyes...

Despite being separated from each other's minds.

Even now a powerful bond connects the two.
Be it as twins of a single mother.

Or... as two souls connected as one.

That was terrifying...

Though, she seems to be much more reasonable than I expected.

Thankfully she wasn't a hidden character from the game.
Otherwise, they would have been erratic and ridiculously difficult to deal with...

But still...

"What the heck was that..."

Was it magic.
Usually, seal's are here to project spells but she was able to use it without any prior use of it.

What the hell...
I need to know more about this world if I want to survive these kinds of opponents.
For people who are like me, it's probably for the best to make them my allies.

I soon gazed at a mirror and saw the hand-marks of what gripped me.
My darkened eyes had dark color's around it, from being unable to properly sleep from insomnia.

Seriously, that was like a horror movie...

Though, as I gazed at my self more...
I felt like I was looking at the character again.
Dark hair, darkened eyes with pale skin.

He often wore a sad expression on his face,
as though he was forcing a smile as he greeted the player in his shop.

Something was on the tip of my tongue...
I can vaguely remember, why did the shop keeper look so miserable?

When the player talked to him, he always had short lines that hinted at his past.

But because of how vague and short they were.
It always was something most people can barely remember...

Is there something hidden in this character's past that I should be wary of?
No, maybe... I am just being paranoid.

I shook my head and went to the bathroom where I splashed water on my face to refresh myself.

After getting so scared by her, like my heart was going to stop.

The fact she asked such simple questions only means they weren't explained enough of what exactly this world they live in...

Another reason why this game was so popular was because of the lore.

The floating island was created is due to the fact that the thick mana on the ground had become the greatest cause of why everyone now relies on an alchemic floatation device called floating stones which lifted large lands into the sky.

It feeds on Mana which is the cause of its powerful flight.

Mana is the reason why monsters are born.
It also strengthens the life of most living things inside of it.

Giant trees and powerful monsters have begun to cause havoc XXXX years ago or so the history of this world says about it. A great calamity that swallowed the world, it was until an invention made by a demi-human devised a plan to make islands float using a gigantic tool amplified by the rich mana in the air itself.

Most of the kingdom agreed and begun construction of such a device while staving off the monsters constantly that terrorized their territory. However, those who are poorly equipped in such an event were wiped out and even the demi-human city known as the strongest kingdom was overwhelmed and was forced to flee and escape in another city.

The cause of why the rise of mana in the air was never resolved.
It reached the point where the ground was no longer inhabitable, full of dangerous giant monsters.

Mech's were created to combat these giant opponents, but there are also small ones that live in small enclosed spaces called the dungeons.

People adapted and things became how it was...

Demi-humans who were once regaled as people to be feared by the populace were now accepted into society despite their difference not because of their strength alone.

But simply because no one can afford to be picky in such a dangerous world such as this...
Survival became a priority...

It was said that the one who sold the floating stones is now the richest man in the world.
That character is one of the students and choices here. [As cliche as it sounds.]

I wrote most of the details of the whole cast's character in a note-pad.
But seriously, I can't remember most of their names!

I can recall their hideous personality and cliche characters.
But their names are completely blank.

No matter how hard I try...
I seriously can't remember them.

But I guess that only makes me human.
I'll probably remember if I get a hold unto the class list.

As I ready myself for the day, I wondered if my other step-sister is scary as well.

「Ugh, my head hurts.」

『If your head hurts from all that studying.
Then my freaking legs and arms are crying!』

The two who recently finished their study lesson with Rosalie were now on their way to the library.
Where the arranged meeting was set.

She complained when pondering about it.

『Look's like your grandfather is already planning on hooking you up with one of the prince's.
We need to find a way to have them, give up before things escalate's...

Hopefully, our stepbrother can help us with this problem or if things go wrong.
We can always do plan B and threaten our partners instead. 』

Tori gave her a wry smile as she said those words.

As soon as they reached the room.
Large stacks of bookcases and shelves as far as the eyes can see.

Baster was sitting in a chair peacefully while reading a book on his side there was paper as he wrote on it. Inside the place as a few maids tidy up the place as they assisted him with his work before telling them to leave.

「Is that him?」

『Yeah... though, he's a busy body as ever.』

While he drank tea provided by the maids he then heard the door of the library close as he glanced at their direction. He placed down the pen and paper as he soon greeted them.

"Wow... the both of you sure look alike."

Both of them were wearing different colored clothes now.
Talie who wore black, while Tori wore white...
Their faces, however, was like a mirror.

Apparently, the maids were ordered to give both of them sets of clothes to differentiate both of them. This led to Talie hunting down Baster after she discovered this sudden change.

"So, which one of you is talie?"

『That would be me.』the dark dressed girl with green hair said.

"So the white one is Tori."

「A pleasure to meet you, stepbrother.」she greeted him politely.
He had a surprised expression as she showed a display of finesse in her greetings.
To which Talie swiftly scolded her.

『See, this is why you were caught so easily.』

「It's not like I can help it!
My mind is completely designed to do this without thinking!」

『And here lies the problem...』

"Can't we just train her to be more of a slob..."

『Trust me, she tried...
The only time she could act like herself is when no one is evaluating her.』

"Then she can just pretend that no one is evaluating her."

Talie shook her head.

『We meant many people gazing at her!
There are too many servants and important people here.

That she can't help but show her facade.』

"I see, so it's more of a defense mechanism when she's nervous."

『That's right.』

Tori was showing confusion on their conversation unable to connect.

「So... what do we intend to do now?」Tori asks.

『We are here to research about this world.
We technically know little and the only thing taught to us.

Was the language of this world.』

Baster's Pov:

I see...
So I was right on my guess...

『Hopefully, we can discover why we were sent here by that being.
Usually, that being wouldn't just send us without some kind of goal.』

"Uhh, what being are you talking about?"

「The Spirit Lord.」she calmly said.

He scratches his head,
"Eh? there was one?"

『I see...
So you didn't recover all of your memories. huh?

I guess that is for the best.』

When she said those words,
I felt a bit disturbed by what she said.

Though, I do vaguely remember how I died...
A certain point in my life where something sharp struck the back of my head and before I knew it blood dripped from my forehead and then I blacked out.

『Do you remember how you died or how you lived?』

"Well, I remembered how I died.
But as for how I lived.

Only vivid memories of myself are all I can remember."

Like hell, I'll tell them.
How the only thing I can remember is an R-18 game from my time.
Even if I told them, it's going to just gross them out.

No wait... did they live in my world as fellow reincarnates?

"He really did reincarnate like us..." Tori showed a surprised expression.

Her bright smile was showing an innocent smile of a 9-year-old but the fact her sister scared me witless the last time we met. It makes me feel a bit unsafe with her only glancing at me as she reads the book I provided them.

The book carried the history of this world specifically the questions of why islands float and things like that...

Tori suddenly break a tear from one of her eyes as she rubbed it.

「I'm glad looks like the demi-humans are finally accepted into society.」

『Looks like our efforts finally bore fruit.』

I was dumbfounded by their words.
Unable to understand what they were talking about I soon asked.

"What are you two talking about?"

Talie made a grin towards me as she said.

『That's private between my sister and myself.』

"That's unfair."

『It doesn't matter anyway since it happened in our past.
This is basically the future we are living in now.

You don't want us prying about how lived in your past now, do you?』

She has a good point.
But my past is more embarrassing than most so I rather keep it hidden.

「With this I can look forward to the future.」

『But still we were sent 300 years into the future.』

"Eh? don't tell me...
Are you guys."

「Yes, we are residents of this world.
Though Talie was once a resident of your world for what I can recall.」

"Really? but how do you two retained your memories?
Wouldn't that be a huge drag..."

『We have a certain promise with a powerful being.』

「His promise was that he will separate our souls that became knit together too well.」

『Though, it's best you don't ask us how we died...』

The two talked to me in quick succession as they continued to read the books.

『Again, I am thankful for how you gave us the chance to know more about this world.
At least now we can start planning on how to deal with our grandfather.』

"Hey wait!
Why do I need to help you guys!?"

「If you help us...
Both of us are willing to help you out in a pinch as well.
You can reconsider this as a debt between my sister and I...」Tori said with a calm expression.

I see, so they weren't forcing me to help them.
But simply asking me for help.

I thought they were planning on making me their personal servant.

『I've already shown you my skills.
Now imagine what Tori can do when things go really bad.』

"What can she do?" I ask.

「Talie! don't just tell him, what I can do!

There's no way,
I'll accept being worshiped like some kind of goddess again!」

"Haaa!" my face froze as she shouted those words.
Now I'm really curious.

『Well, what's your decision?』Talie asked with an easy-going expression.
Tori was simply waiting with expecting eyes.

After what happened back in my bedroom.
These girls are hiding some ridiculous things in this world.
But they seem to know what they are doing...

[Should I accept it?] while thinking for a bit.

I finally made a decision.

"No way."

「Eh?」

『Eh?』

"Instead of debt, then become one of my companions..."

「Huh?」

『Huh?』

Both of them showed dumbfounded expression.
As they then said.

「Your not telling us to become your wive's are you?」

Tori displayed a wry smile with a pale expression on her face while covering her body with her hands.

『My, oh my you have a lot more balls than I thought...』

Meanwhile Talie was showing a wide grin on her face, showing interest and curiosity.

"Huh?..." After thinking for a bit of what I said.

Apparently, the word companion in this world can also be called as wives.

"NO!, that's not what I meant!?" I cried out to them as I slammed my hands to the table.

"I'm talking about being a part of my crew when I obtain my air-ship!"

Their expression swiftly calms down as I said those words to them.

「What a relief...
I thought you were a pervert.」Tori said.

Talie on the other hand.

『What a bore...
If you were aggressive enough,
You could have had both of us in a single package.』While giving me a teasing smile as Tori then smacked the back of her head.

『Ow!』

These two are complete polar opposites in their response.
I could only crack a wry smile at them.
