However, this wasn't all sunshine and dreams as after their meal a visitor knocked at their doorstep. All of them were in the middle of their meal, but then their father sighed and his wife worried gazed at him.

"It's probably the tax collector again."

"Ugh, I wonder why did they raise the taxes this year?" his wife replied.

"I think something else is causing this...
After investigating it a bit the other fiefs doesn't seem to have their taxes raised." her husband replies to her which caused her to have a sodden expression.

Tori and Talie frowned as they felt something suspicious on what was occurring on their family.

The knock on the door continued as her father stood up to answer it.
As he reached the door he was soon faced with a visage of an elderly man as his face paled.

"How... how did you find me?" he asks him.

The elder person sharply gazed at him then his eyes toward his family.
He first made a frown upon gazing at their mother.
Then smiled as he saw the two children.

"So... the rumor's are true.
You truly did have children here..."

Their mother swiftly stood as she bowed before the elderly person as she said.

"Father..."

Tori and Talie who was once feeling unease then replied in a dumbfounded expression.

"Eh?" 2x

His eyes then fixated back to the man in front of him.
He was giving him a glare which is clear to see.

The elder man then said as he darted his eyes toward their mother.

" It's been a long time since you fled our home and married this harlot."

Then his gaze went back to their father.
"Isn't it about time you come home and do your responsibility as a noble of our family?"

Their father then clicked his tongue.

"Your the one who raised our taxes weren't you?"

The elderly man made a grin as he said with one eye closed.

"As expected, you are still as rude as ever..." he said with a bulge on his head.

"You should know by now, that this territory is outside of my jurisdiction."

His eyes then darted towards the two siblings.

"And even if I wanted to make you suffer,
I wouldn't want your children to starve...

After all, they are still part of the family."

As he said those words, the two siblings were now puzzled about how to treat the elderly man.
Their father then replied.

"Then  why did you come here for?"

He gazed back to him and simply explained himself.

"Obviously, to invite you and your family back to our home.
This place is suffering a rise in taxes, due to the rise of sky pirates close to your territory. "

*Sky pirates: roaming bandits that attacks and pillages homes and ships alike.
Most territories and floating islands are under the protection of a fief lord.

Their family is currently borrowing the power of another lord to keep them safe.*

" You should have heard the news by now that a few ships of this place were destroyed by them.
I wouldn't want anything to happen to your children if they managed to punch through their defenses.

Which is why...

 I'm leaving a few of my ships and my men to keep your home safe."

As he said those words, their father retorted.

"That's not nee- *Mrmmmph*" Their mother interjected as she covered his mouth and apologized.

"Thank you very much, my lord."

He gave her a bitter look and simply nodded as he sighed while leaving their home.

 "Charise!" he retorts.

"It's true that the sky pirates are beginning to advance in our territory.
There were many troubled homes who are concerned if they will reach their islands.

And if they raid our home, can you defend the children against them on your own when they are riding those giant machines?"

Our father gave a bitter expression as he was scolded by our mother.

"But he treats you so poorly..." he complains.

"Don't let your stubborn self control you...

While I liked you for standing up to me.
The safety of our children comes first." she sternly said.

While the two conversed and discussed what to do next Talia whispered to her ears.

I kind of feel sad that you weren't able to whip your own husband.

She then whispered in annoyance.

It was then decided that they would accept his father's invitation.

Their family left the territory they are living in and entered the fief mansion of her father's former home. But before they left...

While Both of the girls carried a small backpack on their backs carrying their personal belongings.

『It's huge.』she said in shock.

「At least it wasn't as gigantic and massive like my old castle.」

The two then whispered to one another.
Both of their parents called them.

"Did you two say something?"

Both of them shook their heads in confusion.

As Tori was the first to say: 「This ship is huge.」

It was an air-ship a type of ship that was made for combat.
It's formidable size and hull were something that can handle large battles.

『Mother, did Father come from a military family?』

"Eh? where did you learn those words?"

Tori swiftly covered for her as she kneed her sides.

「Ah, Talie and I found a dictionary.
After seeing the ship we just guessed!」

Her mother gave both of them doubtful eyes as the two wryly smiled at her with their best poker face. But she simply nodded and said.

"Yes, your father came from a military family.
His heritage comes from the Ducal family second to the king."

Both of their faces twitched as they heard it from the mouth of their own mother.

『Eh?』

「Eh?」

Tori's face had a face that says (Give me a break!)
Talie had an expression (Oh shit, here we go again...)
 
As the large floating air-ship opens its entrance from its sides the girls walked feeling a bit troubled. Their father notices and asked.

"What the heck happened to them?"

Their mother simply said.
"I'm not sure either...
Though, when I told them that your family was from a second to the king.
They suddenly acted like that..." her husband gave a wry smile as she said that.

"Don't worry, we are only temporarily taking residence there until things settle here properly."

As the ship wanders the sky, the two sisters then caught a glimpse of a gigantic floating from the distance. Its appearance troubled Tori and Talie for some reason.

『Oi, you gotta be kidding me?』 Talie said in surprise.

「Your joking me right?」Tori said with a frozen expression.

A large statue of a young girl with tail, scales and large wings is to be seen at a distance.
Her impaled figure as one of her right-hand was missing, as she raised her left-hand reaching towards the sky as the tip of hand burn with fire.

『Talk about grand...
Looks like your now worshipped.』

「Well, we did save half of the world and there were machines capable of recording our battle.
But at least this answers the fact that this world is a part of my past.」

『They sure didn't hold back on the alchemy and use of the floating stone's.
I wonder why they made such islands in the first place.』

「Sadly our parents didn't have enough money to send both of us to school.」

Both of them were home-schooled by their mother.
While she was surprised Torie knew what the word military was,
she educated them on how to raise plants and simple things such as money and common sense.

「Well, at least my mother isn't some secret necromancer this time.」

『Ah, speaking of necromancers.

As the two spoke in private, their parents discussed regarding their own children with a worried look while gazing at them from a distance.

The two siblings were gazing at the statue from the deck while they spoke with one another.

But Tori and Talie seem to act mature for their age.

I mean they never did anything that would cause a mess or trouble like children do...

In actual fact, both of them usually talk in private most of the time and when I approached to ask what they were talking about.

Her husband shrugged and said.
