Abnormal weather. It's happening again. From violent thunderstorms to raining fish in Amleth, this time what's happening in Indo is strange.

"Sorry. There's an unexpected slip on my wind barrier" [Diana]

"How's the other? None are getting hurt right? Is the barrier still intact" [Nar]

"My barrier can still withstand this."

"The same. I think I can hold it for another 2 hours, give or take" 

"Diana, did you want to change with me?" [Sas]

"It's okay. I can still do this" [Diana]

"I don't think her mana is draining at all" [Randy].

"I might be seeing something, but I thought I saw a Swamp Hydra there, but now it's not there anymore, hence my slip up when I tried to look for it again" [Diana]

It's raining rocks. Literally. Because of the unexpected abnormal weather, we gather and create a strong wind barrier around us. Everyone pitched in. With the staff made from the World Tree and even the blessing of the Fairy of Wind Sylph, it shouldn't be a problem for me unless a literally huge boulder comes.

"What a loud splash!"

"That's a huge boulder!" [Soerjadi]

"How is that even possible... Now I'm scared" [Auger]

"Me too" [Kara]

Did I jinx it? Please tell me I didn't! It is not my fault if these rocks have somehow enraged the swamp hydra I just saw.

"A swamp hydra! It's really there!" [Dana]

"And it's coming towards us!" [Kat]

"Nar! Randy! Savel!" [Soerjadi]

"On it! Four of us is enough! Others, get into formation and prepare for the worst" [Nar].

"RIGHT!" [All]

It's huge! It's as big as the False Hydra we encountered in Emas. It also seems to be angry. Maybe it thinks that we are the ones who threw that huge boulder into it. This seven-headed hydra is really a threat with its roar.

The Swamp Hydra is a powerful monster that uses earth, water and plant magic. It uses magic that shoots massive tree bark at us all at once. Luckily, since it's raining rocks, the power behind it decreases. However, since it's raining rocks, the concentration of earthly mana in the air will spike, indirectly increasing any earthly magic.

"Trident Shot: Water Gush!" [Soerjadi]

"Aura of Sword, Fierce Slash" [Nar]

"Berserker!" [Randy]

"Howl of the Ice Dragon!" [Savel]

With each of their attacks, one head will be cut off, expect Nar whom cut off two of the heads at the same time. So far, just like what Nar said, they alone can handle it.

"It's starting to use earth magic to send rocks and mud at us!" [Marianne]

"Diana!" [Linda]

"Of course! Space Magic: Translocation!" [Diana]

"Space Magic: Cube of Entrapment" [Linda]

Seeing that I am about to use Space Magic, Sas takes my place and creates his own Wind Barrier. As for me, I redirect the spell hurling towards us and return it to the Swamp Hydra. Linda, on the other hand, collects it along with the tocks falling through the rain before unleashing it back at the swamp hydra. 

"Everyone! Help me! I'm going to unleash a wave magic that will cut through the Swamp Hydra!" [Soerjadi]

"On it! I'll make sure the Swamp Hydra doesn't escape" [Randy]

"Then I'll keep slicing it to buy time" [Nar]

"My mirage mana may not be as strong as Diana's, but I'll make it sleepy and freeze it with my ice spell as well" [Savel].

Soerjadi begins to gather wave after wave behind him, and with each hand movement, like a dancer, the wave becomes stronger and bigger, cutting through even rocks with ease. The swamp hydra is even tougher than a rock, but that shouldn't be a problem for an S-rank adventure. We have three of them and one who once held a similar title against a Hydra, so victory should be in their hands.

"Now all they have to do is cut through the biggest head" [Mara].

And doing so will he. Soerjadi would do this with the biggest and strongest wave spell, cutting the Hydra in half, but the Hydra is not an enemy to be taken lightly. As the abnormal weather caused Earth's mana to spike, its toughness and regenerative power also increased. Just as Soerjadi is about to unleash a barrage of waves again and again

"The Lake Guardian!?" [Farhana]

"It... It literally eats the swamp hydra whole!" [Veronica]

"Amazing! Amazing! The Sea Guardian's mouth contains powerful dark mana similar to gravity magic, which crushes everything before allowing the Sea Guardian to devour its prey all at once, no matter the size! What a fantastic view!" [Einstein]

That's just... Amazing! Even I can't help but stare in awe! There's a reason it's called the Guardian of the Lake!

"Hmm? Okay! I'm coming!" [Diana]

The Lake Guardian seems to be calling for me. I set up a strong wind barrier around me to navigate through the rain of rocks before retrieving a purified mana core from the Hydra Swamp. 

"Thank you! Yes! I'll give it to Fie! Thank you, Lake Guardian, I hope you have a safe birth!" [Diana]

"You really are a lucky girl" [Soerjadi].

"Just give it to Fie now. If not, others will start pestering you for it" [Nar]

"Right!" [Diana]

Maybe because it has a strong purifying miasma of water, or maybe because the dark mana is just too strong that it somehow purifies the mana core of the Hydra, whatever it is, it's something that Fie can absorb to strengthen herself even more and...

"Swampy fur... Kind of stinks" [Kat].

"MEOW!" [Fie]

"Right. I'm sorry" [Kat]

"I thought its head would be like a hydra, but instead it's its tail" [Dana]

"Better two tails than two heads. Imagine a two-headed cat. Must be the stuff of nightmares" [Asterion].

And Fie gets even stronger
