I'm really not sure about this. It was extremely entertaining when the MC was still seemingly the only one with *eccentricities*. Oxwell being who he was, was also still entertaining if only to further highlight MCs peculiarities from growing up a sheltered princess with no connection to reality. But now the mother and father turn out to not really be realistic people either. If no person in this novel makes any sense then I don't think I can put up with the novel for much longer.

@Samdame0200 Hmm, while that is a valid question, some people like to read fiction that is or has some basis in reality, especially so when this reality comes from the characters themselves.
I don't mind as you also seem not to as well. I believe that this desire for something tangible or based on reality is due to most? people's need to relate to the character, setting, events, etc. Not that I feel any need to or generally do relate to any of the aforementioned things
Nothing wrong with a few stories that are just one insane fever dream to the next, but that isn't everyones cups of tea.
