"RISE AND SHINE STUDENTS!!!! GET UP NOW AND START PREPARING FOR CLASS!! I WON'T ALLOW YOU TO BE LATE, EVEN IF I HAVE TO CATAPULT YOUR ASS INTO YOUR CLASSROOM FROM HERE."

The end, this one yell marks the end of my peaceful and lazy life. It's not that I don't want to learn about the new path of life I have chosen but my past relaxing days eating and staring at the sky, admiring the stars will end. Time went by so fast even if you are not doing anything, I should shake this feeling of laziness or I would be stuck in this state forever. I came here to secure my peaceful life, I can't be completely independent anymore, there is no farm to secure my food but I can still make something with my hands. I can make weapons and everyday metal ware to secure myself. It would also make sure I have weapons at the ready in case another annoying person tries to attack me. Enough reminiscing, I have to get ready and go to school otherwise that goblin dorm manager really will throw me towards the school.

"Fire in-"

*Flick* *thwack*

"Argh! M-my head!"

At it again I see, do you ever give up. I have to say he is a lot more stubborn than I expected. He has been targeting me ever since I pummeled him down the first day. He made a couple of new ways to throw the bomb so I don't find out it was him. Thanks to him I gained a bit of income but doing it every so often is getting boring. I guess he gave up the sneaky stuff and went back to throwing his bombs at me directly. Thanks to him I have to keep a handful of stones on me every time I leave my room. My accuracy is reaching impossible levels thanks to him though.

*Booooom!!!*

I don't know what changes he made with the bomb but it better be non-lethal for his sake. His current pain and predicament is completely his fault right now. He should devote his time and energy to something else, like making better potions or making money. That way if he does try to mess with me again, I would have more money to loot. I think blacksmithing would cost a lot of money, I need to save up starting now. Even if the school would provide me some scraps for practice, I think that would only be within school hours. They probably won't sponsor us if we want to practice outside those times. I want to master this craft as soon as possible and start my own shop here in this town, I don't want to strip again to migrate to some other town. I won't have any money to start my own shop so I have to find some place to apprentice. I can slowly research this as I go through school, I'm sure the school also has contacts for fresh graduates.

"Can I have that extra huge meat sandwich? Ah, please don't add mustard. Also, please give me 10 bronze hoofed pig barbecue."
"Yes, the total is 120 copper coins or 1 silver coin and 20 copper coins."
"Here are 2 silver coins(I'm out of copper coins)"
"Yes, here is 80 copper coins. Please have a good day."

Since school is starting, the normal student staff aren't on duty but replaced by normal staff. Most of them are female but I still have the sense of beauty as a human so for now I only see them as slightly attractive, those strong braided hair that looks like it has the tensile strength of elevator cables, those strong arms that can swing a hammer and pulverize a golem, that lean body tone body that is like compacted steel and big boobs. Yeah, I'm oly slightly attracted to them.

I'm starting to get chubby again. I still exercise every day but without the farm work I keep gaining weight. I'm not using all the energy I take in from what I eat. I gained easy money so I waste it easily. My mana capacity didn't expand much either since I barely used magic since all utilities are pretty convenient here.

It doesn't matter now though since I think blacksmithing will use more energy than farm work. Inside a room with a non-stop burning forge and hammering steel until who knows when, I will undoubtedly transform the fat that I built up eating into muscles soon. For that to happen, I need to stop impulse buying food or not only will I balloon up again, I will also lose my hard earned blacksmith fund.

"Good morning, Dorm manager Gau!"
"Oh, Good morning to you too. hm,,, HEY GREET ME BEFORE GOING YOU LITTLE SHRIMP"

*Whomp*

"G-g-good......M-morning...D-dorm manager......gau......"
"Good morning to you too. Haah, I wonder when will everyone will learn some manners here."
"I see you haven't change at all."
"Hah!?! *thwack* Can't you see these strengthened muscles of mine!?! Of course I changed. I got stronger! You need to bulk up too if you want to go far."
"....y-yes. I'll be going now."
"Go and take care"

I meant mentally not physically you muscle brained idiot. That was a heck of a slap to the back of my head. I almost spat out my breakfast, at least I wasn't like the gnome student he smashed with his spear. If you want to live here you need to know the basic rule, always politely greet the dorm manager whenever you pass him. I saw some other students who got drunk from their party at the town and try to pick a fight with him. He treated it as some sort of sparring and dodged all their attacks until they collapsed. When they woke up he dragged them into another sparring session until he judged them as something passable, it continued for 3 whole days without sleep and food. That was his biggest form of punishment, the lesser ones are hitting you or throwing you all over the place.

Now then, where is my classroom at? They sent some letters telling us to gather at the front of the school. If they want to do something like a school assembly, they should have made something like a gymnasium. You can't hear something well when you are outside, the voice will dissipate before reaching the students at the back. The good point is the wind is helping us cool down, Good thing it's early in the morning so the sun isn't high yet and the air is still cool.

"Line up, Line up. Go to your main course line. Look at the picture at the board at the front of the line and find your course group. Hurry and line up so we can finish this nonsense. Line up and shut up. Don't talk and let the principal spout some BS to satisfy his ego."

She must be part of the school staff, probably from the military courses since she has a huge hammer behind her back. She is loud and complains about this event, at least she is honest about the futility of this kind of school event. At best this is only some sort of welcoming event to let the fact that school is starting and to make it more grand. The principal prepares a special speech for this kind of thing, probably because the principal doesn't have much screen time throughout the school year, they make it extra extra long.

Ah, found the board with a hammer and anvil. That should be my line. Most of the students in the line are dwarfs or brawny goblins. There are a few gnomes but most of the gnomes are in the enchanter course which is labeled with a shining ore and a glowing sword. The alchemist students, which is represented by a potion picture, all have robes. They have the least students, only around 20 I guess. I wonder if all of them are as pesky as that goblin that keeps throwing bombs at me, they should have some coins right? As long as they don't start I won't harvest them.

The military students are really orderly. Their build isn't as big as the blacksmith students though. They must have a build that emphasizes fighting instead of us blacksmith that needs constant burst of power to clash with metals. You could say we are stronger in strength but they can utilize their strength way better.

There are a bunch of other courses but I don't really need to mind them, ah! I'm also part of the mining course students and they are the bulkiest among all other courses. I'll ignore that bunch for now since they started taking off their top and started posing to compare muscles to everyone around them.

The one with the most ladies among the courses are the rune magic course, depicted by a rune that I can't recognize, and the combat healer course, labeled with a closed fist with a green glow around it. I guess it might be true that they have more magic capacity than men, I wonder if they heal with some kind heal punch. They are more concentrated on those two courses but there are still some on the other courses, except the mining group which consist of mostly muscle heads. Ah, there are some ladies in there but it was hard to see them since the hulking idiots are more eye catching.

"Hey, you new in the blacksmith course?"
"Yeah."
"Newbies line up at the back, get moving."
"ok"

That must be the big fish of the blacksmith course. I think he is trying to intimidate newbies to make them less arrogant. Classic group control tactic, it establishes order by showing them the height of power from the seniors and it makes the newbies try harder to improve themselves and get as strong as the wall they first encountered.

"Oh, welcome fellow newbie"
"oh, yeah, hi."
"haha, I understand, I get you. You also feel angry about those arrogant pricks at the front of the line. However, don't think about charging them now since a couple of newbies already tried it and failed. You can see them at the pile behind there."
"ok"
"I see that you are still frustrated about it. However, just endure it since as the school progresses, we will also grow stronger enough to surpass them. I'll leave you now, remember don't be reckless"

I'm not really frustrated but it's more like I just ate and I feel sleepy. I can see that there really is a pile of people at the back of the line. It's not just here at the blacksmith course group but all the other groups too. I guess the scare tactic is part of every courses guideline, oddly enough the combat healer beaten up pile is the most bloodied up. I mean, wow, those arms and legs is broken and twisted, however they aren't critically injured. In comparison, I am certain the pile of students at the alchemist course has rotting flesh. That would be hard to heal, which idiot prepared that kind of potion to intimidate new students?

"Now that all of you are here, Let as start the welcoming ceremony. I am the principal of this school, Evan Mine"

A fat gnome climbed the platform in front. He must be the biggest person I have seen since entering this town. He is almost as high as a single floor of the school building. He might be big but his movements are really agile. When he was going up the platform, he almost seems like he is floating up rather than climbing the stairs. Is he some kind of warrior that practices a different type of fighting technique? I have a feel that if wears armour and holds two tower shield, he can defend against a horde of golems.

It's still the first impression though. I wonder if he really is like that?
