The sound of an explosion echoed through the surroundings.

All the combatants stopped and looked in the direction of the source of the sound, there was a young man with dark complexion, dark brown hair and brown eyes, wearing dark clothes and two strange objects in his hands, pointing them in the direction of the monsters.

Smiling and without saying a word, he pulled the trigger of his gun in an instant an explosion sound echoed from the gun and suddenly, one of the green-skinned monsters died by magic.

"Most of the technology" he commented while looking at his weapon, he still had four bullets left in the magazine and six in his other weapon, so if he had a good aim he could kill 10 of them, not counting the two he just killed .

The Goblins were startled by the sudden sounds of explosions and the unexplained death of their comrades, but they quickly understood that this was caused by the being in front of them.

With a roar they continued their attack, even outnumbering their enemies and even with the spirit gained from killing one of the mysterious beings, they attacked with greater force than before.

Gabriel wasn't even scared by this and simply pointed his guns at the green tide. "Let's have fun in this dance of death" I comment with a smile full of madness while pulling the trigger.

There wasn't much more to say, the green tide was completely annihilated in record time. Simply the numbers were completely useless against the total power of the weapons and the strength of their opponents.

Once the last Goblin was down, Gabriel turned to the source of all this trouble. "A little lady who causes trouble... well, what's your name?" He commented while pointing his gun at the girl, she had tried to flee in the middle of the combat, but a bullet passing a few centimeters from her face stopped her and made her reconsider trying to flee.

Although the girl didn't help, she stayed at a distance where Gabriel could keep an eye on her, if she tried to run away… well, her life wouldn't last long either considering her injuries.

"My name is Evelin" She answered quickly, she knew that the person in front of her was in control of the situation, and if she made him angry, she could end his life in an instant.

"So, Evelin, could you explain to me what this whole show was about?" Asked.
Gabriel, although he wasn't really upset by this little problem, could have caused her death if it weren't for him waking up on time, so the little girl would have to suffer the consequences of her actions.

"Those things were the ones that held me back" I commented while pointing to my summons. Turning towards them, I asked them with my eyes if it was true, to which they just nodded.

Gabriel wasn't really aware of the situation, he only quickly deduced it when he saw the big picture. After all, I was unconscious when everything happened, but seeing how a mysterious girl is in their "camp" and at the same time a large group of Goblins were attacking them, tell me paranoid but this is too much of a coincidence.

And from his words, it seems that it is true.

Smiling to himself, he comments, "These things are part of my family, so I hope you don't call them things again if you don't want to meet your ancestors sooner than expected."

Evelin swallowed audibly as she understood the meaning of my words "You... family kept me here, so it's not my fault that the monsters that were following me attacked them" she commented trying to defend herself, but her words were so stupid and meaningless that neither I didn't even bother to refute it.

"Changing the subject, what should I do with you?" Asked.

She was surprised and asked "What do you mean?"

I looked at her like an idiot, I pointed to her side, where the wound was still dripping and her death was getting closer "You've lost a lot of blood, at this rate your death is only a matter of time"

She looked at her wound with concern. He had managed to roughly cover his wound with his strange power, this made him not die immediately, but if the wound was not treated he would die in a matter of time.

The girl asked slowly "Can you help me?"

"Depends, what can you offer me?" Gabriel stared at her.

"I can help you, I'm strong" She commented, her level was 5 and she had a Heroic Rank attribute, so she was considered among the best in this test, most people would help her just for the benefits, but Gabriel didn't know this and he didn't care either.

“If you are as strong as you say, why are you hurt? An oversight ? Or was there something else" Gabriel commented, looking at the girl's reaction, and she didn't wait.

With anger and anger I shout "If it weren't for those bastards attacking me from behind, I wouldn't be in this state!"

Gabriel was silent as the girl continued her screams. Although there were many insults and suppressed anger between the screams, he could understand that this girl met a group of humans on the second day, only to be betrayed on the third day by one of them who tried to spend a pleasant evening .

Gabriel wasn't surprised by this, after all there are good and bad humans around here, many willing to take advantage of the current situation. Looking at it logically this was nonsense, and unfortunately for the guy he ended up paying for his stupid act with his life.

But things are not always so easy, the other members of the group did not accept the girl's words and some said that she seduced him to kill him and would do the same with the others, with no one to support him he decided to leave the group, but it would be attacked by the others to avoid future trouble, luckily Evelin managed to escape with only a few injuries.

Things went from bad to worse from there, encountering many monsters and being injured she couldn't fight them without probably dying in the process. So he took the option to run away, but that attracted more monsters, which resulted in the current situation.

It was a little unfortunate what happened to him.

Gabriel thought, and asked him "How far is that group from here?"

Gabriel didn't want to meet that group, so it was best to keep his distance or in case they meet try to mediate the situation, if nothing works, things will have to be solved by force.

"I'm not sure, I had to run for a long time and take countless detours to get here, so it would be difficult to know exactly where they were," she replied .

Gabriel wasn't surprised, he was running for his life after all, so he clearly couldn't divert part of his actions into remembering which direction he was going, especially considering that this whole place is full of trees.

"Anyway, let's get back to what matters to us" he continued "I have a proposal for you, something that will benefit you a lot but at a high cost" Gabriel did not reveal exactly what he was referring to, but Evelin thought he was referring to his apparent ability to control entities.

Evelin didn't want to be controlled, but considering her current state she had no choice but to accept. Lowering her head, she said, "I am willing to do control in exchange for my life."

Gabriel was surprised by this, and it took him a while to realize that Evelin thought Summons were controlled monsters. This caught him a bit off guard, but since it wasn't bad for him and he would have less explaining to do, he decided to continue as he was.

"Yes, I'll use my ability on you, so don't resist" Gabriel commented as he activated his ability.

Evelin nodded and released her body.

A magic circle appeared on the ground, extending to where the two of them met. The magic circle was completely white and glowed slightly.

Evelin felt like something inside her was being extracted and replaced by something else. Instinctively he thought of resisting, but remembering the man's words he stopped.

With no resistance from the other party, the process took less than a minute. Evelin's body was surrounded by light and her injuries were restored, her body and abilities were strengthened.

When the ritual ended, the changes in Evelin's body became very noticeable. She was slightly taller than before, and her entire body had been restored.

Also Gabriel could now access Evelin's Status window, he knew this instinctively.

So without hesitation, I examine it.

—Status window—

Name: Eveline

Level: 5 (+1)

Attributes: [Swordsman (Heroic)]

→ Skills: [0]

→ Traits: [0]

Level 5 and an attribute in Heroic Tier ?
Gabriel didn't know if a Heroic Grade attribute was impressive or not, so he didn't give it much thought. Instead he was disappointed because his level was 5, which meant that he hadn't killed an intermediate monster yet.

The strange thing is that he had added value next to his level, he thought this was because of his Pact. Which was good to hear.

"How do you feel?" Gabriel asked Evelin.

Not knowing how to feel, she replied “I feel stronger and my wounds have healed…. But I feel like I've lost something” He commented while touching his chest, there you could see a visible white mark of the contract.

Gabriel was a little curious about the contract, but for now he had more important things to do.

“First things first, do you want a change of clothes? That your current clothes are…” Gabriel looked at the rags that covered Evelin's body.

Evelin, noticing Gabriel's gaze, covered her private parts with her hands and commented, "Something comfortable to wear, please."
