The next day...

They arrived at the location, and Pierre was enchanted by the proposal. It was a large area with a variety of vegetation, and the accommodations seemed cozy—various types of modern motorhomes, but without wheels, entirely floating.

The house was significant, with two floors, and Mrs. Peyton observed Pierre attentively. Had she made the right choice? The child looked at the place as if he had just received a new toy.

It was easy to tell that the child was pleased with simple things. After they sealed the deal and made the payment, they moved in on the same day. Pierre dedicated himself to Avalamita and managed to advance several levels of magic, now having access to 7th and 8th-level spells.

Among the new abilities, "Aspect of Invocation" stands out, which strengthens the caster. He also learned to conjure a "controllable fireball" that can be detonated after being launched, as well as "flames of greater force" that set fire to creatures in the area, causing damage per round and starting a fire.

Another powerful magic that Pierre can now conjure is the "Energy Cube," which creates an immobile, invisible, and indestructible prison that traps a large or smaller creature.

He can also summon a "Huge Monster under his command" through the "Summon Monster VII" spell. Additionally, Pierre learned to conjure the "Magnificent Mansion of the Mage," which creates a luxurious extradimensional mansion. Finally, he can now blind a creature with the "Power Word: Blind" and create an ethereal passage through a wall with "Invisibility Passage."

Among the 8th-level spells that Pierre can now cast, "Soul Bind" stands out, which traps the target's body in a gem. This is the same spell that imprisoned Vogrim in Avalamita. He can also create a lifeless "clone" of a creature, transporting the creature's soul to the clone if it dies. Another powerful magic that Pierre learned is "temporal stasis," which leaves the target trapped in a suspended animation state.

Other magical abilities that Pierre acquired include the ability to create a "Prismatic Wall" that causes various effects. Conjuration an "Incendiary Cloud" that creates a glowing cloud, and corrupt common seeds with aberrant energy that, when activated, become tentacles that attack all opponents in the area.

He can also create a painful dream with the "Dream of Pain" spell, causing pain and leading opponents into unconsciousness. Finally, Pierre can now prevent planar travel in the area with the "Dimensional Lock" spell and cause the target to lose memory and abilities with the "Void" spell.

Pierre discovered that the community where he lived was composed of people who worked in the big hotels and bars in Nexus during the high season. Although he felt a little out of place at first, he soon realized that he could easily make friends with his neighbors.

He was excited to make friends in that community, and over time, he succeeded. He discovered that many of the residents shared his interest in traveling through the universe, thus forming a diverse and interesting community.

However, he also realized that many orcs faced stories of prejudice and difficulties in their work. Many of them worked without a contract and in different locations every day due to the restrictions in the Zerg galaxy. This generated very difficult working conditions for them, making life on that planet even more complex.

Pierre began building a scene based on his own observations and memories of the book's history, which portrayed a future marked by apartheid. In this scenario, people were segregated into groups based on their race, ethnicity, religion, or any other characteristic that could be used as a pretext for spatial discrimination against its members.

Unfortunately, the new universe did not have great thinkers like Thales of Miletus, Plato, Aristotle, Machiavelli, Socrates, etc.

Cages, conflicts, and wars were never the ideal answer.

"Pierre found happiness by befriending Gelub Chandler and Aluora Hilltop, two young orcs who lived in the floating house next door. With their presence in his life, Pierre felt a sense of lightness and tranquility, and the fun conversations they had always brought a smile to his face.

While the three friends laughed together, Ms. Peyton, watching from afar, lifted her eyes. The two-story floating house had a beautiful view of the small lake, and Pierre seemed to effortlessly blend in with his surroundings.

Gelub, always ambitious and audacious, talked about his plans to woo a rich Zerg who was willing to take on an orc, which was a truly impossible mission!

Aluora, on the other hand, teased Pierre: 'Me single and you single, Pierre, you know what that means?'

And he asked, 'What?'

To which Aluora replied, with an excited smile, 'It means no one wants us!'

The jokes and playfulness of the friends brought lightness and humor to Pierre's life, making his friendship with Gelub and Aluora even more valuable."

Gelub spoke, with a tone of false lamentation: "Who hasn't been interested in someone for a long time and that person only wanted you on a certain day, in a certain place, and in a certain alcoholic state?"

Pierre frowned, not understanding. "What do you mean?"

Gelub explained, with a sarcastic smile: "This happens because you're a low-quality nutrient solution."

Pierre laughed out loud, finding the comparison funny. "A low-quality nutrient solution?"

Gelub replied, with a playful tone, "That's right. You say you won't eat it, you see it's there, but when you're hungry, you'll eat it and find it delicious."

Pierre's cheeks turned red in surprise at the response, and he couldn't help but laugh.

Aluora, who was listening to the conversation, agreed, shaking her head. "Everyone has been someone's low-quality nutrient solution."

Pierre joked, taking advantage of the relaxed atmosphere, "I liked the comparison. Who hasn't been someone's low-quality nutrient solution, right?"

Pierre noticed in Aluora and Gelub the primitive search for love, and thousands of years later... Yes, the search for or waiting for a prince to save the damsel from danger or poverty still stood.

"Are you in need of work?" asked Aluora, abruptly interrupting the conversation.

"Of course," replied Pierre, raising a curious eyebrow.

Aluora then made a suggestion: "The Hungry Comet is a large nightlife establishment frequented by VIPs. What do you think, Pierre?"

"And you know what else? Despite robots being used for service for thousands of years, at The Hungry Comet, all employees are living beings, creating a new trend of valuing life," Aluora continued.

Pierre was surprised by the suggestion, but couldn't help but smile at the thought of working in such an exclusive place. "It sounds fun," he replied, with a twinkle in his eye.

And even though the idea of working in a Night establishment didn't seem like a bad idea...

Aluora continued enthusiastically: "And who knows, maybe you'll find a secret love among the VIP clients, huh?"

Pierre laughed, "Who knows, maybe I'll find someone who sees me as more than a low-quality nutritious solution, right, Gelub?"

Gelub smiled and joked, "Well, if you don't find anyone, at least you can enjoy the good music and exotic drinks at The Hungry Comet."

Everyone laughed and agreed that it would be a great opportunity for Pierre.

Pierre found the name "The Hungry Comet" quite suggestive, but was curious if the name referred only to living beings. On Earth, this name would certainly generate many spicy ideas, but Pierre decided to wait and see to confirm his suspicions.

After all, it wouldn't be the first time the universe surprised him with its wonders and peculiarities. Perhaps "The Hungry Comet" was simply a reference to an asteroid or comet that devours everything in its path, without any obscene meaning. Either way, Pierre was excited to discover more about this intriguing place.
