We park two miles from Adusta industries' secure facility.

"I'm coming." Jessica sounds serious.

I look deeply into her eyes, "You were dead at the time, but James's comment about soaking anti-tank weaponry? It happened. I took a bazooka to the chest. If things go sideways - up to and including the entire facility collapsing on top of me - I'll be fine. But I really don’t want to lose you again."

Jessica looks right back, "So don't lose me. Make me as safe as you can. I wouldn't mind being a superhero. I'm coming, either way."

"All right…"

I get to work on her buff routine. I use Fleeting Spell and Invisible Spell on everything in case something turns out to be problematic later. Spell Enhancer gives me a quick +2 to my caster level (I need to recast it on a per-spell basis, but that’s no trouble) and I have 4ths now. Delay Death so simple injury won't kill her, Phantom Limb so lost body parts keep working anyway, Greater Celestial Healing so she recovers quickly, Freedom of Movement so she can't be pinned down, Stoneskin to soak much of the damage she might take, Life Bubble so she can't be choked out, all five varieties of Energy Resistance so she can ignore flamethrowers and things, Augmented Mythic Fly so she can get away easily, Augmented Mythic Haste to make her crazy-fast, Death Ward… not that I expect her to face any casters, but it'll stop negative energy effects and death spells… Delay Disease she already has, Protection From Evil to stop mind control and possession, Sheltered Vitality to prevent ability damage and fatigue, all the animal attribute spells with Fell Energy to give her a +6 to all stats, Fell Energy Improved Resistance to give her a +5 to saves, Status so I can keep track of what shape she's in, Swim so she can get through water easily, Earth Glide for dirt and stone, and Sustain so she can't be starved out if somehow captured, Fell Energy Shield of Faith to give her a nice deflection bonus to AC, Fell Energy Improved Mage Armor for an armor bonus to AC, Fell Energy Barkskin for natural armor to her AC, plus Greater Blindsight and Darkvision so she won't be blinded by the lights going out. For this specific op, I also tag her with Greater Invisibility and Lesser Telepathic Bond, and explain each effect as I go.

I also make sure my combat buffs are at least that up to date, of course.

《OK, I’m done. How do you feel?》

《Amazing. I can't see myself, but I can tell where I am… not you, though.》

《Yes, I have a ward that does that. It's not one I will be able to copy for a long time, unfortunately.》 It's from my Mythic Ring, and she's in my Flexible Bond pool, so I could give it to her, but then I wouldn't have it, and I might need it to get her out of trouble if something drastic happens. 《I can see you, but you can't see me, so you'll need to lead.》

《Copy that. Telepathy is… weird.》

《Yes, it is.》

We get out of the car, and Jessica leads, flying a good ten feet off the ground. I follow her through the trees up to the facility's fence line… because after that, it's carefully mowed grass, without a single tree or shrub for someone to hide behind. It's a very impressive fence: Cinder blocks cemented in place ten feet high, with barbed wire at the top. That means exactly nothing for flying folks, however. We pass the wall quite easily.

The guard towers are manned. But the guys in green army uniforms with rifles don't seem to notice us. Jessica goes to open the main door, but I stop her, 《We're invisible. We need to wait for someone else to open it, or we need to teleport past it. Here…》I cast Clairvoyance to see the other side, and Dimension Door to get us both past it.

《OK, that's … what security on Earth could stop you?》

《If the door was leaded, I couldn't see what's on the other side, so I'd be going in blind. There's also a few spells that stop Teleportation, and a note that high quantities of energy can as well. So I might not be able to do that near an active volcano or a nuclear reactor.》

《The world is very fortunate that you're a good person.》

《Hmm. Oh, and secrecy works wonders. I can scry on people I know about and visit places if I know where they are, but if I don't have a clue, I can't do anything of note.》

《That's… not much of a limit.》

《You might be surprised.》

I take a moment to look around. The place is built entirely in concrete and cinderblock, with steel doors. They have fire alarms, but… well, if a fire breaks out, walk calmly into the next room and close the door. It won't spread. Find Traps tells me there's alarms on just about everything, which goes with all the key card readers. I try Locate Creature… cool, she's in range.

《Found her; do you want to start with her or your stuff?》

《How's she doing?》

《Still struggling against the ropes, but she's fine.》

《...and she's still being watched?》

《Like a hawk. So yes, this place will go nuts when she suddenly vanishes. Tell you what: I get the two of you out of here, you can take care of her, and I'll find your gear while this hornets' nest is all kicked up. That'll give you time to get back to the car and get Dolly safely away.》

She rolls her eyes,《Fine, you can play lone hero today.》

《Great!》I take Jessica by the hand, and Dimension Door to the holding cell. I start with a Major Image around the camera, giving it a small dome, painted on the inside to look like a snapshot of the room. 《The camera is down. It will be a bit before they notice. Talk to Dolly quietly, please.》

"Hey Dolly," Jessica starts in a very low voice, but not quite whispering, "Please stop moving so I can untie you…"

Dolly immediately stops struggling, "Yes Jessica, thank you."

When Jessica finishes, I tap Dolly with Invisibility, and Dimension Door all of us out of the building, using a few more to get us past the fence line. I connect Jessica and Dolly's hands.

Jessica address Dolly, "Follow me, we'll wait for Chris at the car."

And I Dimension Door back, three castings get me back in the room. I dismiss my invisibility, and use Vocal Alteration and Adjustable Disguise to dress myself up as Dolly, wrapping the ropes around myself with Greater Mage Hand, and tying them back in place. I line up with where she was, and dismiss the Major Image. I then speak clearly in a mechanical voice: "Threshold reached. Theft confirmed. Removing safety limiters." I snap the ropes, calmly stand up, and kick the door clean off its hinges. Yes, between my Eidolon suit, my buff spells, and Divine Providence, I don't need to open doors.

Alarms blare as someone, somewhere, hits a panic button. This actually works out quite well for me, as I see the ensuing lock down makes it so the two middle aged men in white suits outside the door can't get out. Not that it matters much, I'm still hopped up on Augmented Mythic Haste. No way they're running away.

I roll Intimidate, which is pretty straightforward glaring as I just kicked down a security door, "Your company goons collected other portions of my mistress's property. Where are they, thief?"

The awful smell tells me I succeeded.

"Th…  this way… but the door…"

… falls to a single kick, just like the other.

I glare at the other engineer, "Follow. You'd never escape me anyway, and if you obey, I might let you live." This guy does better.  His pants are merely wet, not dirty.

"Yes mistress."

Eh, good enough.

They lead me through a maze of corridors to a different area, I "open" all the steel doors the same way. We get to the electronics section without encountering any guards. I kill every camera with Invisible Spell Scorching Rays: I glance at them, and they melt.

We encounter more engineers, but them I KO with a Maximized and Invisible Admonishing Ray. As far as anyone can tell, I just glare at them, and they fall down.

I do find Jessica's electronics and the four decoy flight suits in various states of disassembly.  But it looks like everything is here. Which means I don't need these two anymore. They fall to Admonishing Ray just like everyone else.

I open my Keyhome, and load everything up: Just Jessica's stuff and the flight suits. I don't need to be a thief, I could just sell some gold and gems and buy it. They're going to have enough expense fixing the doors and cameras.

As I'm walking out, I'm met by a security team of thirty army men, pointing guns at me. They don't wait for me to speak, simply opening fire.

It doesn't take long for guns to run out of ammunition on full auto. Many are deflected, many I dodge. They do manage to land a few hits, which don't touch my HP between my Hardness and Damage Reduction.

During a lull while they're reloading, I go ahead and address them in my mechanical voice, "I and some other property of my mistress were stolen and brought here. We are leaving.  If you choose to oppose the rightful return of stolen property…"

I don't get to finish. They open fire again. I move to the side and hit them with a maximized Invisible Spell River of Wind. One of the thirty manage to resist, the rest crash unconscious against the far wall. The spell deals nonlethal in an area. I don't really want any more deaths on my conscience.

I look at him, and he drops his weapon, kneeling and putting his hands behind his head.

I just walk away as I dismiss the spell.

I continue frying cameras and kicking down security doors on my way out, but I'm pretty sure it's just a formality at this point.

Once outside, I walk out the front gate, continuing to shut down all the cameras as I go.

Once I'm off site and am sure I'm not observed, I cast Greater Invisibility, drop the illusion, and go meet up with Jessica and Dolly.
