Chapter 2 - The Student Council President

As Kirito and Emily adjusted to their new family dynamic, Kirito started to become more involved in school. He joined the student council, hoping to make a difference and meet new people.

"I just wanted to tell you," Kirito said, standing up and brushing off his pants. "I don't want things to be weird between us, Emily. I still want us to be friends."

Emily nodded, wiping away her tears. "Of course, Kirito. We'll always be friends."

As they walked back to their respective homes, Kirito couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness. He knew that he had done the right thing by telling Emily how he felt, but it didn't make the pain any less.
