It was just another day on this blue planet we call Earth.

I was currently reading a novel that I was tasked to review if it was worthy to enter the webnovel event we hold every year.

[Restore the Crown]

After probably reading a hundred novels by now, this novel can only be summarized in two words.

Utter Garbage.

It was literally just a novel full of cliches and overdone tropes.

A bland and dense protagonist that was overpowered from the start.

A list of heroines that just instantly fall and become obsessed with the protagonist.

A roster of villains that have no personality.

They were all there.

I let out a sigh,

After writing and sending all the criticism I had to the author.

I called it a night and went to bed.

The next day after waking up from a good night's sleep.

I made myself a coffee and decided to open my laptop to see the next novel that I will need to review.

But my eyes widened as I notice that there was an email,

It was from the author of that dogwater of a novel I read last night.

- YOU UNGRATEFUL PIECE OF SH*T, YOU HAVE NO IDEA OF THE HARD WORK THAT I PUT INTO THAT NOVEL, ENJOY YOUR LAST DAY ON EARTH, YOU DIPSH*T, I HOPE YOU CHOKE ON A BBC, ILL SEND YOU TO HELL MYSELF.

I almost spat my drink as my jaw reached the floor.

This was the first time that this happened to me.

Just how pathetic is this man?

He couldn't handle that his ego was hurt and resorted to death threats.

I took a sip of my coffee and blocked him instantly.

Remembering the stoic saying,

Anyone who can make you angry becomes your master.

I no longer paid any more attention to it and started to review the next novel that I was tasked with.

Which I hurriedly started to read, because, after this, I would receive my paycheck for the month, and would finally be able to take out the girl working at the cafe.

Well, that is if she accepts my invitation.

I'm not that particularly good looking but they say confidence is much more important.

I slap myself on the face.

"Stop daydreaming, Troi, you have to finish this novel first,"

After snapping myself out of my fantasy.

I started to read with vigor.

But before I could even finish reading the first chapter.

The sound of the doorbell rang inside the apartment,

"Huh? Who could this be? Is this Kurt asking me out to drink again?"

I got up from my chair and proceeded to make my way to the front door.

As I look through the peephole to see who it was.

It was a man that I'd never seen or met before.

He had an appearance that belonged to a supermodel, one that would make any girl instantly go head over heels, the black jacket he wore made him stand out in a crowd, and the smell of rose scent pierced through the door.

I slowly turned the handle and met the man.

"Ah? Hello sir, I think you got the wrong door,"

His eyes then locked straight onto me.

I was taken aback as his eyes seemingly gazed right into my soul.

The man soon opened his mouth,

"Restore"

"huh?"

"The"

"Wai-"

"Crown"

Sweat started accumulating on my face.

Was I just hearing things?

Was this really the same author who told me to choke on a BBC earlier?

But before I could utter a single word.

He reached for his jacket,

After being taught by my brother about guns, I immediately know what it is.

A Glock-19 fitted with a suppressor came from within.

As I gaze back into the man, a wicked grin and eyes full of animosity stared right back at me.

And like a truck speeding across the open road,

It hit me.

Is this f*cker really going to kill me?

After realizing what he was planning to do I tried to slam the door shut but he suddenly kicked me.

My frail body fell onto the floor,

As I clutch my abdomen due to the sudden flash of pain, I raise my head.

With his dark jacket and black gun resembling a cloak and scythe.

A single thought ran through my mind.

"Am I going to die?"

My mind still could not accept it.

"Like this?'

"Just because of the fragile ego of this f*cker"

Before I could even fully grasp what was happening.

I saw a flash.

And that was the last thing I could remember.
