Klaye hugged Queen and went back to the villa.

On the way, he thought a lot. In reality, he wasn’t angry at Queen. He already suspected what kind of power she had, and he guessed it was used on him. He didn’t saw them, so he thought that they were dead or at least left the city, but remembering how Vincent tortured them in the book, he sighed. He wouldn’t let them die so easily.

’They are bastards! They get what they deserve! You don’t need to care for them!’ Queen tried to comfort him.

„Can’t you behave normally?” Lex gently hit Howard’s head from behind then turned to Klaye. „You have a visitor.”

Klaye was confused, but before he could ask anything, he heard barking. He looked down and saw an ugly dog running around his legs.

’Shitty dog! Disappear!’ Queen shouted angrily.

„It’s a wolf...” Klaye corrected her, then remembered the others couldn’t hear her. „It’s the wolf from the other day... right?” he tried to sound like he just made a mistake in his speech.

„Yes.” Lex didn’t realize it. He patted Klaye’s shoulder. „It seems to like you, so take good care of it! Don’t let anything happen with it in the city! Those wolves are strong. It’ll be profitable if you can build up a good relationship with them.”

Klaye’s face turned white. It wasn’t a good idea at all! What if Vincent would mistake it as if I intend to use the wolves to take revenge on him? He wanted to say no, but when he looked up, his eyes met with Vincent’s, and he couldn’t say anything. He felt as if those eyes pierced his body and sweated.

Vincent straightened his body and took a step toward him.

Expect Vincent no one saw his reaction because a car stopped next to them.

„Boss! All the preparations are done! We can go anytime!” a young boy reported to Vincent.

„I can learn better during actual combat!” he was in high spirit.

Klaye was surprised. The boy was Roe, the little servant who sometimes helped him out in the villa.

„Here some food and clothes.” Egbert appeared suddenly. He placed a big bad in front of Lex.

„Why the clothes? We are not girls!” Lex muttered.

„You can’t prepare for everything. Maybe it will be useful.”

Lex wasn’t convinced but listened to his wife and put away the bag.

Other servants brought food and other things and placed them in the cars. This time they intent to visit a city farther away. Originally it needed a whole day to reach it, but now they would be glad if they could come back after a week.

Klaye stood on the side and watched them preparing without interfering. He noticed that sometimes Vincent watched him, but he didn’t dare to look that way. He didn’t know what he wanted to say to him, but he wasn’t sure if he wanted to hear it or not.

They put everything away after some minutes, and Vincent looked at him one more time before he sat in the car and left.

Klaye watched the leaving cars and sighed. He was glad he won a week to think about what to say to Vincent. But then he became more depressed. He didn’t have any idea about what he wanted, then how to think about the answer?! Maybe it would be better just to tell him ’please kill me fast’?! But Vincent wouldn’t be satisfied with that... Or he could show them his power and made an agreement?! They could lock him into a room, and he would gladly give them his blood... He didn’t know if the city had an institution or not. Maybe Vincent would build one and let him became the first test subject. They would slowly chop off his flesh until nothing left...

Klaye felt the cold sweat on his body and swallowed. In the original story, he sold his body to the military, and they granted his wish for it. Because of it, he didn’t mind all the pain and died after a long time.

He wanted to help Vincent, but he wasn’t sure anymore if he could accept this fate. If it was before, when he was just a little transparent follower, he could gladly give up his life for him. But now Vincent noticed him! The time they spent together give him hope. At least he thought about him as a friend!

Klaye’s body shivered, and he hugged Queen stronger. He really needed this week to short out his thoughts and turn back to the right way...

He came back to his senses when a hand grabbed his shoulder. He lifted his head.

„Don’t be afraid! Nothing will happen! The young master just woke up, but his power extremely strong! Believe in him!” Egbert saw his uneasiness and tried to cheer him up.

Klaye didn’t say anything, just faintly smiled. He knew Vincent would be okay. Even in the book, after he went through a lot of hardship, he was able to stand up and continue.

If he didn’t know Gardena with her harem’s members went out today too, he wouldn’t think too much about it. Knowing how much that woman loved to create troubles, and Vincent’s hatred, he was afraid, this trip wouldn’t be that simple.

Klaye was speechless, but he felt the warmth in his heart slowly spread. He finally smiled and bowed his head. He felt Queen’s fur caressed his forehead and whispered. „Thank you very much!”

Queen felt embarrassed and turned away. „Stupid servant! Of course, this queen will look after you!”

The ’dog’ barked again as if he complained about being left out.

Klaye looked down at him. „Do you have a name?”

’Let’s call him Stupy! That’s perfect for him!’

Klaye laughed out loud and sat down on the ground and stroked the dog’s head.

Stupy whined as if he had a lot of complaints, but Queen didn’t translate them.

Egbert stood next to them, and he felt that he was left out. This made him sad because he thought about Klaye as a friend. But first of all, he was a servant. He hid his feelings and turned to them. „It’s already lunchtime. Do you want to eat something?”

Klaye looked up and realized there was one more person. He felt ashamed and nodded.
