Vincent handled some problematic teams and went home. He was looking for Klaye, but a servant told him he went to the hospital.

Vincent had the urge to turn around and bring him back, but he remembered about their fight last time. He sighed and went back to his room to read some reports.

At 7 o’clock, Vincent lost his patience. He promised to Klaye to don’t interrupt his chat with Edward. But in exchange, Klaye needed to go back before dinner time. Yet he didn’t come back and didn’t send any message...

Vincent put on his coat and went out. He tried to call Klaye, but his mobile was turned off. His uneasiness grew, and he ran to the hospital. Until he reached Edward’s laboratory, he didn’t saw Klaye. Vincent kicked open the door, but he only saw the frightened doctor.

Edward almost dropped the grass in his hand. He wanted to question the man, why he was so violent, but his tone changed when he saw his face. „... What happened?”

„Klaye?”

„He left at 5 o’clock...” Edward had a guess. „Didn’t he went back?”

Vincent’s face darkened. He didn’t answer, just turned away and left. He called Egbert. „Close the gates! You have an hour to find Klaye’s whereabouts!”

„... Yes!”

Vincent ran to the Central to see the security cameras’ records. Gladly, the whole city was monitored. It was impossible to miss anything.

Knowing the time when Klaye left the hospital, the workers found him easily. They watched him walking back slowly. To shorten the road, he walked into an alley. A car slowly followed him, but Klaye seemed to be a little absentminded. He didn’t notice anything until the light went off on the street. From the car, a man jumped out, grabbed him, and pulled him into the vehicle. He was so fast the camera hardly captured some movements.

In the living room, Egbert with some servants was already there. He got a message with Vincent’s guess, and they searched for the related information. Following it, they reached this place too.

Egbert stepped out. „Report! 3 days before, 2 members of the 28th team came back. They were injured and went to the hospital. „Today... it was Valen’s job... He let the car leave... without a proper check... then he disappeared... half an hour later...” Egbert tried his best to continue his report, but it was hard to breathe.

Vincent threw him on the ground and left. He was afraid he would break his neck if he listened more.

Outside of the house, he stopped and shouted. „Bring the dogs! And everyone who can command animals! No one can take a break until we’ll find Klaye!”

The summoned ability users gathered in front of the villa. They were nervous, and the animals felt it. They were noisy and awakened the neighbors.

Queen hated the cold and slept almost the whole day. She heard the other animals calling and woke up. She jumped on the windowsill and looked down. When she saw those lowly animals and humans, her anger sky-rocketed.

On her way down, she heard the servant spoke. She became confused and slowed down. ’Who disappeared?’

She was in a trace and tried to digest the information. Suddenly a shadow appeared in front of her. She slowly looked up, and that handsome face made her dazed.

The man smiled gently. „Here you are. Please, come with me!”

Queen foolishly nodded. She couldn’t say no to beauty.

The nervous servants and workers ran around, but none of them noticed the man and cat’s sudden disappearance...

The servants brought out Klaye’s clothes. They finally found some that weren’t washed and had his scent. They gave them to the animals’ owners to use them for the search.

The cold air awakened Queen. She foolishly looked around and watched the quickly changing surrounding. She looked up at the man, who held her in his arms. He still had that gentle smile on his face, but Queen’s instinct urged her to stay far away from him. He was dangerous.

The man stopped on the city wall. He felt the stiff body of the cat in his arms and gently caressed her head. „Don’t be afraid! I won’t hurt you! I need your help!” he leaned closer and whispered in her ear. „You can speak to me, right? Klaye’s cat.”

Queen’s eyes widened. She hesitantly lifted her paw, but after some thoughts, she stepped on the man’s hand. ’... Why do you have red eyes?’

The man’s smile softened. „Secret!”

Queen was confused. She lived outside and saw zombies. They had red eyes, but the man in front of her was human. She didn’t know what kind of mutation could cause this kind of effect.

’Where are we going?’ Queen paused. ’This question... you can answer, can’t you?’

The man laughed. „Of course! We’ll go and visit an old friend of yours! I take you with me because he doesn’t know me.”
