Within the quiet skies of the Sky Dragon region, a big mat was flying through the sky, over the hills of the Forgotten Forest.

On that mat were 9 individuals from the Soul Shattering Sect, including Meng Lin.

Everyone was seated and Meng Lin finally had time to assess everyone around her.

Liang Chen was sitting with his arms crossed, his eyes closed as he seemed to be unbothered.

Xie Ru and Liam Mu were chatting quietly with each other, while Luo Su was staring off into the distance lost in thought.

Lu Xuan was sitting cross-legged with her eyes closed, seemingly meditating. Yue Feng was also sitting with her eyes blank, her expression unreadable.

Next to her was Xu Ruan who held a thoughtful expression as he looked ahead.

Meng Lin couldn’t help but turn to the old man who began to walk towards her, his eyes piercing as he spoke.

“Meng Lin, right, this is our first time seeing each other, my name is Zheng Rue, the Division Head of the Martial Arts Mountain.”

Meng Lin nodded politely, feeling a bit intimidated by the old man’s gaze, she couldn’t sense any qi from him as if he was just a regular human. “Nice to meet you, Division Head Zheng.”

Division Head Zheng chuckled, “No need to be so formal, although I don’t tend to pay attention to the inner sect diciples of my mountain, I had to, when there was two individuals with Luans soul”

Meng Lin’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion. “Two individuals with Luan’s soul?”

Division Head Zheng nodded, “Yes, you and Liang Chen. It’s quite a rare occurrence, but it can lead to some interesting developments.”

Meng Lin raised an eyebrow, she looked towards the arrogant Linag Chen and thought that it was no wonder that he was so confident in himself.

She couldn’t help but think back to the times she met him, she remembered the sense of dread whenever she interacted with him and attributed it to their souls.

It seems there was more to it than it seems. However she was feeling a bit more at ease now that she had some understanding of the situation.

Thinking a little she couldn’t help but ask about the current situation “what is the Forgotten Forest?”

Division Head Zheng’s expression turned serious as he replied, “The Forgotten Forest is a place where even I, as the Division Head, would not venture deep into. It’s a dangerous place full of the unknowns as well as ancient and powerful beasts.”

Meng Lin’s eyes widened in surprise. She didn’t know of that but thinking about it she realized that there were countless other places similar to the forest, places yet to be explored by cultivators.

She then asked “if it’s so dangerous then why are we going there”

Division Head Zheng smiled “There is an ancient teleportation platform on the outskirts of the forest that will lead us to the Thousand Mountains Region of the Luo Kingdom, it’s where one of the entrance to the Nether Cloud Domain is at”

Division Head Zheng continued, “We are not the only ones after the treasures of the Nether Cloud Domain. There are other sects and individuals who will stop at nothing to obtain them. We must be cautious and work together to ensure our success.”

“What other sects should we pay attention to” Meng Lin asked, her eyes narrowing in curiosity.

Division Head Zheng sighed, “The most prominent sects, the Rank 5 sects, although all of them should be approached with caution, stay especially clear of the Scarlet Demon Sect members”

‘The rank 5 sects’ Meng Lin didn’t know of how far back her memories of the Ancestral symbol goes but she remembered the mention of the rank 5 sects.

The Palace, Configuration Sect, the Breeze Sect and the Divine Soul Sect are the four rank 5 sects that she knew of and all of them were powerful and influential in the cultivation world.

She doesn’t know the Scarlet Demon Sect but just by the name she can guess why she was warned of them.

“Don’t forget that you’ll meet other cultivators with Luan’s Soul”

Division Head Zheng added, “There may be some who will try to take advantage of you for their own gain. Be wary of them, and always remember to prioritize the safety of yourself and your fellow disciples. Just finish the mission and come out”

Meng Lin nodded, feeling a sense of responsibility and duty from his words, it seems that he held this mission in high regards.

“Understood, Division Head Zheng. I will do my best to ensure the success of this mission,” Meng Lin replied not mentioning the matter of other diciples, as always she wouldn’t leave her fate in the hands of others.

The old man nodded in approval before turning back to the group, his expression serious. “Remember, you must work together and be vigilant. Our mission is important and failure is not an option.”

Everyone acknowledge in someway, their faces varying. They knew the dangers ahead and were prepared to face them.

The old man nodded before turning his focus to the mat. The mat suddenly slowed down and they could see the surroundings becoming clearer.

Below them were towering trees and a thick canopy of leaves, with the occasional glimpse of a stream or a clearing.

Below the mat was a patch of area without trees, In the center of the clearing was a circular platform with strange markings on it.

“That’s the teleportation platform” Division Head Zheng explained. “We’ll be using it to go to the Thousand Mountain Region”

Meng Lin looked at the platform with interest, wondering what kind of spatial power it possessed to transport them to a different location.

The mat landed gently on the platform and Division Head Zheng motioned for everyone to gather around him. "Now, we'll activate the teleportation platform. Everyone, focus your Qi on the platform."

Meng Lin did as she was told, feeling the energy within her flow towards the platform.

She closed her eyes and concentrated, feeling the platform begin to glow with a bright light.

Suddenly, Meng Lin felt a strange sensation as if her body was being pulled in all directions.

She was about to panic when she felt a hugh force envelop her and then she heard the sound of wind rushing past her ears and the feeling of weightlessness.

The next moment the sensation stopped and she opened her eyes to find herself in a completely new environment.

She looked around in awe, taking in the sights and sounds of the Thousand Mountains Region.

Division Head Zheng sighed a little at the group, “Well everyone. We didn’t have any trouble, We’ve made it to the Thousand Mountains Region.”
