~ Chapter 5 ~

The collision of the Silver Mech was like a burst of kinetic energy, a resounding impact that rippled through the air. Its body crashed forcefully into the T4, an unrelenting strike that unleashed shockwaves, resonating across the battleground.

Inside Lyra's mech, the impact of the Silver Mech's collision reverberated like a seismic shock. The sudden force jolted the interior, causing the walls and consoles to shudder and Lyra herself to brace against the unexpected turbulence.

“What the hell!” Draco exclaimed over the comms.

Staring wide eyed, mouth agape, “Uh, Aurora, what is that?”

"I'll explain later. For now, I need to access the cockpit of the silver mech," Aurora stated firmly.

Outside, the silver mech stood its ground against the relentless assault of the T4. Its movements were purposeful and calculated. Despite the overwhelming odds, the silver mech refused to back down, its metallic form radiating an unwavering determination.

"What? You're planning to get inside that thing? No way! You were just knocked unconscious!" Lyra protested.

“That mech is the only way! We can barely fight one T4, let alone two.” Aurora quickly glanced over to Orion and Caelum.

As Lyra hesitated, the scene unfolding before them intensified. Orion and Caelum's mechs were being battered, their defenses gradually giving way under the relentless assault of the other T4. The situation was getting worse, and Aurora's determination grew stronger.

Seeing the desperate struggle, Lyra swallowed her apprehension and nodded, determination flaring in her eyes. "Fine, let's do it. But we need to act fast."

Quickly Aurora activated the comms, “Draco, I need to get into the silver mech, hold out a little longer!”

“Huh Aurora!? Are you alright?” Yelled Draco.

“Yeah, I’m fine, I just need to get in that mech, can you give me some time?” asked the pilot.

“Uh, Alright, I’ll trust you on this,” He replied.

Immediately Draco’s mech started firing at the T4. The silver mech quickly stepped back and disengaged from the Enlightened.

“I’ll get out now,” Aurora said to Lyra, opening the cockpit door.

“Wait!” Lyra grabbed her arm, “You, you are, really ok right?” she questioned the younger girl.

“Yeah I’m fine, don’t worry about me,” She responded.

Lyra tugged on her arm, “Don’t be stupid, you’re a part of my family so, don’t kill yourself out there ok!?” Lyra ordered.

Aurora smiled, "Alright." Lyra released her grip on Aurora's arm.

Aurora quickly exited the cockpit and dashed toward the silver mech. As she neared, the mech gracefully lowered itself. The hidden cockpit revealed itself, the young pilot hastily sat in the seat.

Darkness encompassed her as the door closed. After a brief pause, screens flickered to life before her. Initially, only a few were illuminated, but the display multiplied rapidly—three, then six, which soon grew to twelve, and finally settled at a total of twenty-four screens.

“Woah, why do you have all these screens?”

Each drone appeared to possess a linked camera, with its own dedicated screen. As Aurora's gaze swept over the array of monitors, a more peculiar revelation came into focus—six joysticks, one for each of the mech's arms.

“What the hell? Was your last pilot a spider?” Questioned the pilot.

After a slight pause, “...No They-”

“You know what, tell me later, we have a fight to finish.” She interrupted.

Aurora reached out and grasped the dual joysticks within the cockpit. Her gloved fingers curled around the controls, and with a resolute push, she initiated a series of precise movements.

The silver mech moved effortlessly under her control, its massive frame, gliding forward in perfect harmony between technology and determination. Each step reverberated through the ground, highlighting its imposing stature.

“I don’t have four more hands so I’ll leave the drones and other arms to you alright?”

“As Your Majesty Commands,” The mech complied.

The walk became a dash, not towards the T4, but to her old mech’s wreckage. She looked around searching for her old weapon. After a few moments, the silver mech picked up the rifle.

“Uh, can you use this?”

“Oh, nice.”

Without hesitation, the silver mech surged forward, approaching the T4 entangled in combat alongside Lyra's and Draco's mechs. Aurora swiftly armed herself with an energy rifle, aiming the weapon at the T4 with practiced precision.

Simultaneously, the silver mech's hidden compartments released a squadron of nimble drones. These drones darted through the air, their agile movements designed to confound and distract the T4.

The T4's attention honed in on the source of the gunfire. With a surge of determination, the T4 abruptly changed its focus, its colossal form pivoting in Aurora's direction. With a thunderous roar, it dashed forward, its powerful strides covering the distance with astonishing speed.

"Woah!" hurriedly she took a step backward, distancing herself from the rapidly advancing Enlightened.

The T4 closed the gap with astonishing speed, its massive form charging into close combat range with a thunderous impact.

Aurora's heart raced in her chest as she readied herself for the imminent collision. Fueled by determination, she directed the silver mech into action. Mechanical parts shifted and moved with precision, the mech's motions executed with a seamless grace.

As the T4 swung a colossal arm, Aurora deftly maneuvered the silver mech to sidestep the blow. The ground beneath them quaked as the mech swiftly retaliated, its own arm sweeping forward in a calculated strike.

Aurora's punch aimed at the T4's massive form, but the strike whiffed through the air, missing its intended target.

As the T4 swiftly evaded her punch, Aurora's momentary vulnerability was seized upon. The enemy's counterattack landed with a jarring impact, striking the silver mech's side and causing it to stagger.

Aurora's punches, fueled by determination, aimed at the T4, unfortunately most of her strikes missed as the enemy skillfully evaded. Despite her efforts, Aurora's frustration grew as her punches failed to connect, each near miss intensifying her determination to land a telling blow.

“Why am I missing!” She complained.

In the midst of her rapid punches, Aurora's instincts sensed a strange pattern. Her strikes were missing, and her balance felt off. Concentrating, she quickly figured out why—her own mech's extra arms were throwing her off.

“Hey can you help out, the momentum of the extra arms are messing up the punches.”

“Understood.” The mech replied.

Aurora threw a punch, it connected, but the sudden shift in momentum caused by the additional arms threw her off balance entirely. The forceful collision turned into a stumble, and before she knew it, she found herself tumbling backward, landing on the ground with an unintentional thud.

“What the hell man!”

“May We Recommend Something Your Majesty?”

“What! We’re in the middle of something!”

“There Is A Way For Your Majesty To Control Everything By Yourself.”

“What! How? You should have told me Earlier!” She said.

“Your Majesty Told Me To Inform You Later.”

“What! Ugh, just tell-”

Before she could react, the T4 seized the opportunity, its massive form lunging forward with relentless speed. The impact was jarring—a deafening crash that reverberated through the air. The silver mech was slammed forcefully into the ground, its systems protesting with a cacophony of warning alerts.

Regent Sys - Warning - Damage sustained

Aurora's heart raced as the world seemed to spin around her. The weight of the T4's attack pressed down upon her, making it difficult to move or even think. She fought against the overwhelming force, her fingers frantically navigating the controls.

The silver mech strained against the T4's hold, its mechanical muscles flexing with a surge of power. Slowly, agonizingly, Aurora managed to push back, creating a narrow gap that allowed her to regain a semblance of control. With a determined effort, she activated the mech's thrusters, propelling herself backward and away from the T4's oppressive grip.

Gasping for breath, Aurora steadied herself, her focus unwavering.

“Ok! Whatever you need to do to give full control, do it!” Aurora commanded.

“Your Majesty, We Would like to inform you that-”

“Just do it already!”

“Understood Your Majesty, We Need 5 Minutes To Prepare.”

“What! 5 minutes! Fine, I’ll hold out!”

The T4, undeterred by its failed attempt, advanced once again, its eyes gleaming with relentless determination. Aurora's fingers danced over the controls, her mind racing to assess the situation and formulate a new strategy.

Aurora swiftly assessed the silver mech's condition. Despite the intense struggle, its systems remained operational, a testament to its robust design. With renewed determination, she adjusted her grip on the control joysticks, her focus honed on the looming threat before her.

The T4 charged once more, its immense frame hurtling forward with brute force. Aurora's instincts kicked in, her fingers dancing over the controls with practiced precision. As the T4 closed the distance, she executed a swift evasive maneuver, narrowly sidestepping its onslaught.

Every attempt to strike back seemed to fall short, her frustration mounting with each failed maneuver. She gritted her teeth, determined to find a way to turn the tide.

“We got you Aurora!” Lyra yelled over the comms.

Draco and Lyra, seeing Aurora's predicament, swiftly adjusted their tactics. Lyra's mech surged forward, drawing the T4's attention with a rapid barrage of missile blasts. The T4 shifted its focus toward Lyra's onslaught, giving Aurora a brief respite.

In that moment, Draco's mech moved with precision, positioning itself strategically. With a deftly executed maneuver, he launched a powerful strike against the T4's flank, forcing it to stagger to the side.

“How much longer Silver!?”

“Your Majesty, We Need 2 More Minutes.”

“Haah” She sighed.

Aurora gauged the T4's movements, analyzing its attack patterns and seeking vulnerabilities. As the Enlightened moved to engage Lyra and Draco, Aurora sprang into action.

Aurora swiftly fired a series of precise rifle shots, deftly recapturing the T4's attention. The resounding shots sliced through the air with calculated accuracy, showcasing her undeniable marksmanship. The T4 let out a furious roar, its response a swift charge toward the silver-clad titan.

Unexpectedly, the T4 used its strength to knock Aurora's mech over. The massive silver machine crashed down, creating a powerful shockwave. Before Aurora could react, the T4 took advantage, swiftly climbing on top of the fallen mech with a loud thud.

Aurora's heart raced as she found herself pinned beneath the weight of the Enlightened. The pressure was overwhelming, the realization of the dire situation sending a surge of adrenaline through her veins.

Outside the cockpit, Lyra and Draco immediately sprang into action. Seeing Aurora's predicament, they unleashed a barrage of firepower, their shots aimed at the T4's vulnerable points. Yet it didn’t falter.

Inside the cockpit, Aurora's fingers danced over the controls, her mind racing as she sought a way to break free from the crushing hold. She could feel the strain of the silver mech's systems, the servos groaning under the weight of the T4. Desperation fueled her determination, her focus unwavering even in the face of overwhelming odds.

“SILVER!!” She yelled out.

Regent Sys - Connecting Neurological Link To Pilot

Aurora was suddenly jolted by a searing surge of pain, a sharp and intense sensation that shot through her body like a lightning bolt. A sharp and intense sensation pricked at her neck, sending a wave of pain and discomfort rippling through her body.

The excruciating pain was overwhelming, causing her to gasp and clutch at her neck, her vision momentarily blurring as the connection formed

In an instant, the world around her seemed to blur, the piercing sensation at her neck felt like a surge of electricity, causing her to gasp and clutch at the source of the agony.

In a split second, the silver mech's actions became clear—the machine had forged a neurological link with her.
