~ Chapter 6 ~

~ Caelum POV~

“What is that?”

Caelum's eyes widened in a mix of astonishment and relief, as the silver mech materialized on the battlefield. The unexpected sight of another mech joining the fray, mere moments after the T4's appearance, was enough to elicit a surprised yet determined expression from the seasoned pilot.

Although the origins of the silver mech remained a mystery, the sight of it engaged in combat against the T4 offered a sense of relief. Knowing that Lyra and Draco were not alone in facing the formidable foe eased the burden on Caelum's mind.

Caelum's focus quickly shifted to his upcoming confrontation with the T4. Determination burned in his eyes as he guided his mech with precision. Orion's presence at his side was a source of strength, their camaraderie forging an unspoken understanding.

"Stay sharp, Orion," Caelum's voice cut through the tension as they prepared for the imminent clash.

As the T4 closed in, Caelum and Orion moved in perfect synchrony. Caelum's fingers danced over the controls, his mech responding with agility. Orion's instincts anticipated the T4's movements, his strategies aligning with Caelum's commands.

The battle unfolded with coordinated strikes and evasive maneuvers. Caelum's mech weaved between attacks, his movements fluid. Orion's calculated fire exploited openings with precise shots.

"Orion, target its left flank!" Caelum's quick command guided Orion's focus, and the response was immediate as laser fire sliced through the air.

The T4 proved formidable, testing their resolve. Yet, the synergy between Caelum and Orion was undeniable. With each move, they chipped away at the T4's defenses. Their unity grew stronger with every exchange, a beacon of hope amidst turmoil.

"Keep up the pressure, Caelum!" Orion's voice rang out, determination matching his friend's.

Caelum's voice provided calm guidance, Orion adapting tactics on the fly. Together, they pushed back, their efforts turning the tide.

The battle raged on, a symphony of clashes and energy surges. As the T4 pressed its assault, Caelum and Orion's coordination only improved. Their maneuvers were executed seamlessly, a testament to their experience and trust. The battle's rhythm guided them, deepening their connection with each dodge and precise shot.

Bursts of energy and flashes of metal marked the intensity of the fight. Caelum's voice guided their actions, while Orion's instincts provided a keen edge.

"Orion, now! Hit its joints!" Caelum's command set off a flurry of targeted shots, weakening the T4's stability.

As the battle climaxed, the T4's defenses faltered. Caelum and Orion seized the opportunity, their final assault delivering a decisive blow. The T4 staggered, its body faltering.

With one final blow, the T4 entity convulsed and spasmed, a malevolent energy radiating from its core. In a gruesome display, the T4's shell contorted and twisted, its form defying the laws of existence. The air hummed with an eerie resonance as the T4's body underwent a jarring metamorphosis, its essence merging into a nightmarish amalgamation of eldritch and corporeal elements.

With a final, anguished roar, the grotesque hybrid entity faltered, its monstrous form collapsing with a resounding thud upon the unforgiving ground. The once-menacing T4 lay motionless, a chilling testament to the fierce battle that had just taken place.

"Finally," Caelum exhaled, his breath coming in heavy gasps as he celebrated their hard-fought battle.

However, another battle still raged on. Caelum's gaze quickly shifted towards the rest of his team. His eyes widened as he witnessed the T4 Enlightened leaping onto the toppled silver mech.

"SILVER!!" Aurora's voice rang out from the silver mech.

Suddenly the immobilized silver mech came to a halt.

Seizing the opportunity, the T4 swiftly capitalized on the silver mech's immobility. Using its immense weight to its advantage, the T4 attempted to crush the silver mech beneath its towering form.

With a sudden burst of motion, the silver mech sprang into action. Using all six of its powerful limbs, it forcefully hurled the T4 off of its frame.

With a determined surge, the silver mech swiftly regained its towering stance and charged forward, swiftly narrowing the gap with the retreating T4. Its numerous limbs became a blur as it unleashed a barrage of powerful punches, each strike resonating like a drumbeat in the midst of battle.

As it closed in, the silver mech's numerous limbs became a mesmerizing blur of motion. Each appendage moved with calculated precision, delivering a barrage of bone-crushing punches that reverberated through the battlefield.

Simultaneously, the squadron of drones accompanying the silver mech executed a coordinated dance of their own.

Like a flock of deadly birds, they weaved through the air with remarkable agility, their movements synchronized to perfection. Some of the drones deftly latched onto the T4's lower limbs, their mechanical grip restricting the enemy's movements and adding to its mounting frustration.

Amidst the chaos, bolts of crackling lightning erupted from certain drones, arcing across the sky in brilliant displays of raw energy. Each bolt struck the T4 with sizzling intensity, searing through its armor. The air crackled with electricity, creating an atmosphere charged with the thrill of battle.

Other drones wielded sharp, slicing appendages that glinted ominously in the light. With surgical precision, these cutting implements tore through the T4's defenses, leaving behind a trail of sparks and shattered fragments. It was as if the silver mech's assault was a symphony of destruction, each note played by its limbs and drones contributing to the crescendo of chaos.

Yet, amidst the fury of the onslaught, there was an undeniable harmony to the silver mech's actions. Its movements were fluid and purposeful, each strike building upon the last in a relentless tide of aggression. The battlefield became a canvas upon which the mech painted its masterpiece of combat, a display of martial prowess that left all who witnessed it in awe.

As the battle raged on, the silver mech's assault remained unrelenting. Punch after punch, strike after strike, it pressed its advantage with unwavering determination. The T4, once a formidable adversary, now found itself ensnared in a whirlwind of metal and energy, struggling to mount a coherent defense against the overwhelming force that assailed it.

Then came the moment of reckoning.

With a ground-shaking stomp, the silver mech delivered a devastating blow, its foot crashing down onto the Enlightened form. The impact reverberated through the battlefield, and for an instant, the T4's struggles were stilled beneath the sheer force of the blow.

In a swift, calculated motion, the silver mech wielded its energy rifle. The weapon's barrel glowed with an ominous light as it charged, energy coalescing into a deadly payload. With unwavering focus, the silver mech fired a single, searing shot.

The energy bolt streaked through the air, striking the T4's head with unerring accuracy. A brilliant burst of light and power engulfed the T4's head, the resulting explosion echoing across the battlefield.

The T4 writhed and contorted, emitting a sinister energy. Its shape defied natural order, twisting and convulsing. An eerie hum filled the air as it morphed into a horrifying fusion of otherworldly and tangible elements, a chaotic display of its demise.

The silver mech's massive form knelt down, its once-mighty stance faltering as if a surge of power had been drained from its core.

“Aurora!” Lyra shouted.

Draco's and Lyra's mechs swiftly reached the kneeling silver mech, their mechanical hands extending to help stabilize it.

Aurora's voice crackled over the comms, a mix of relief and exhaustion in her words, "I'm okay, just drained."

Lyra's face lit up with a mixture of worry and relief. "You gave us quite a scare there."

Draco chimed in, his tone tinged with a touch of humor, "Yeah, next time, try not to scare us like that."

Aurora managed a weak chuckle, the tension in the air easing. "I'll keep that in mind."

Caelum and Orion approached the group, their mechs joining the cluster around the silver mech.

Caelum's voice carried a mix of curiosity and concern as he inquired, "What is this mech, Aurora? Where did it come from?"

Aurora took a moment to catch her breath before responding, "I... I'm not entirely sure. It appeared in my dream, and it was looking for someone, ‘Her Majesty’. In my dream I realized it was looking for me."

Orion's brow furrowed as he examined the silver mech. "An advanced piece of technology, that's for sure. It's unlike anything I've seen before."

Draco chimed in, his tone skeptical, "You dreamt it, and it was looking for someone? Are you saying it's some kind of sentient mech?"

"I don't know the details, but yeah, it can speak. Inside the dream, it felt like, something was leading me towards it." Aurora slowly responded.

Lyra glanced at the silver mech with a mix of awe and curiosity. "Well, it certainly saved our skins back there."

Caelum's gaze remained fixed on the mysterious mech, his expression contemplative. "We'll need to investigate this further. It could be a game-changer in our battles against the Enlightened."

“But, Aurora you’re alright though right?” Draco asked with concern etched in his voice.

As the team gathered around the silver mech, Aurora's own mech stood silent and motionless.

Caelum furrowed his brow, concern etched on his features. "Aurora, can you hear us? Are you okay?"

Orion's voice held a hint of urgency as he chimed in, "Aurora, respond. We need to know you're alright."

In a swift and coordinated move, Caelum and Lyra jumped out from their mechs and hurried toward the silver behemoth. Urgently, Lyra worked to pry open the cockpit, her heart pounding with concern.

As the cockpit door swung open, both of their expressions shifted to a mix of shock and worry. There was Aurora, unconscious and slumped in the seat, a telltale trickle of blood escaping from her nose.

“Aurora!” Lyra shouted.

“Lyra, check her health monitor!” Caelum's voice was urgent, filled with a mixture of worry and determination.

As Lyra's eyes fixated on the health monitor, a rush of concern surged through her. The digital readouts painted a stark picture of Aurora's condition:

Cardiovascular Metrics:
Heart Rate: Elevated
Blood Pressure: Fluctuating

Neurological Readings:
Neurological Activity: Unstable

Respiratory Indicators:
Oxygen Levels: Slightly Below Optimal

Thermal Analysis:
Temperature: Elevated

Injury Assessments:
Trauma Alerts: Numerous

Lyra's heart sank as the data painted a troubling image. Aurora's status was undeniably critical, and the urgency of the situation weighed heavily on her.

"Orion, head to Aurora's old mech and send a message to MHQ using the Mobile Node Tether. Tell them that we need extraction immediately, and request a medic on standby."

“Got it.” Orion said as his mech headed towards the previous mech.

“Tsk, how are we gonna get this thing out, there's like a ton of them outside.”

"Comrades Of Her Majesty, We Shall Provide Assistance," The mech's voice unexpectedly resonated.

“Woah, did this thing actually talk?” Caelum exclaimed.

"Did you cause this? What have you done to Aurora?" Lyra's voice carried a mix of anger and concern as she confronted the mech.

“Her Majesty Requested To Have Complete Control Over Us. Her Current state Is The Result Of The Overuse Of Accelerated Thought Streams Through The Neurological Control Link.” It responded.

"It was you!" Lyra confronted the mech, her tone accusatory.

“Hey, hey, we’ll talk to the mech later. Right now we need to get Aurora back to MHQ. You can move right? Even while Aurora’s out?” Explained Caelum.

“Affirmative.”

“Alright, good.”

“Ok, MHQ responded, they sent the coordinates where they will be at. They also said they got some info about Team Enigma VII, they want us to go back because of it,” Orion said as his mech returned.

“What happened to them?” Inquired Caelum.

“...They were abducted.” Orion said over comms.

Yall, I'm slowly losing my mind from daily, I was debating on pausing on the daily thing, idk.

Fixed my first mistake, probly from me losing my mind, I'll read more carefully now.

After each chapter I post, the more I feel like I need to edit the previous, the more I realize that, 'man, there's stuff missing in them', smh. I guess that's what I get for impulsively posting that first one.

Also, who knew writing a romance is super relaxing compared to a mech and combat focused story. :p

As always, if you see any mistakes, I'll fix em. Thanks Comments.
