It has become November by this time.

Nearly a whole year since Uncle had gone to that place.

Letters have been coming in from him, informing me of such wonderous sights to be found there,

I believe the emotion that I was feeling then was...envy.

My Uncle finally got to see what the outside world looked like, that he heard much of,

And what he told me through his letters was so wonderful and yet so...unbelievable to me.

It could only be described as alien, as to me much of the outside world is a mystery waiting to be prodded.

Finally my 'Mother' allowed me to seek out the City of Chaos, a wonderous place full of other Cognizants,

Others who could wield and indulge in the magical world,

The desire to go out and explore grew so intense once it reached a certain point, that I knew I had to risk asking my 'Mother',

For what sort of conditions would be required for me to be allowed to visit this place.

Though what I was told next made the caustic walls around my heart grow,

But after some rumination, I decided that I did not care for the conditions I was saddled with,

My investment in the outside world had boiled to the surface once more.

It even felt like the stars aligned at that moment, perhaps even as a Miracle,

For the first time, she did not reject the idea of me going and seeing the world outside of the farm,

This opportunity couldn't be passed up.

The conditions were rough but nothing I could not achieve if I simply applied myself to the task at hand,

As long as I found a suitable partner, or became a master in a field of magic,

If I achieved either of those goals, my status as heir would be assured and my freedom would be extended,

Allowing me the right to do whatever I would like until all the documents were sorted.

A dream within a dream is the closest I could call that,

What was left, was to actualize it in some manner or form.

Time to look up the method to get to this profound place.

I arrive at the special train to take me to the city,

Though I feel a bit awkward saying the word, even with my research into how to pronounce 'train',

As the special train and trains, in general, were some of many concepts I was informed about only a few months before my dispatch by 'Mother'.

A train that hid from the presence of those not Cognizant, but could appear anywhere a Cognizant was requesting it,

And held a functional railway track that the train could run on for its entry.

I enter it and find quite a unique atmosphere,

With alien wood and metal-bound furnishings throughout,

To unfamiliar light fixtures, that had part of my attention in a spell as the train moved along.

The Conductor of this special ride is the first one I have met of note outside of my family,

They came across as a person of great bearing my mother would say with a hint of envy, though I found them both relieving and...frustrating.

I had expected more of a commanding presence, as my mother would attest but only found they spoke softly about what I may have wanted to drink while the train drove onwards.

Whatever.

It is unlikely that I will meet them again for quite some time,

My matters are to occur primarily within the City of Chaos.

The Conductor was thanked for her excellent and expedient work with their train,

As I got off the train and began my walking, I admitted this to no one for more than a few reasons,

I had hoped she saw through my stilted word choice and understood just how awesome I felt her work was,

But enough of that, where am I in this blasted place?

This place if she recalled the information right, was called the Yew,

One of the many districts found within the City of Chaos, and the one that her Uncle had set up shop in.

...I hope he hasn't been overworked here, hmmm, I should see him as soon as possible.

So now where did he say was his workshop...
