Alex felt a surge of strength from deep inside his body, and his exhaustion disappeared like never happened, jumping 3 levels ahead described greatly the change of his power.

He casually took out the spellbook from the system's storage, then he lifted his left palm toward the sharp vines ahead, said, "Spirit Bolt!"

*Bang!*

A previous wisp-like purple energy now became a little sphere, launching from the base of his palm and struck the plants ahead, immediately broke a portion of them.

"Enemy!"

"Ah?!"

Dick and Damian abruptly rose from the ground while pointing their rifles anywhere, Momo on his side snapped open her eyes groggily.

"No, no, no enemy, just me, I am trying something before," Alex waved his hand to calm them down, they sighed in relief as the soldiers fell once more onto the ground.

"What was that?" Momo's purple eyes stared in dismay at the broken vines.

"I cast magic," Alex grinned, "now I am officially a mage."

"Congratulation?" she didn't understand why Alex was so excited.

Of course from someone who could casually launch lightning from the tip of her tail wouldn't find this particular feat any special, but for a human like Alex, this was overwhelming...

In order to perform certain actions, humans had long in the need of using tools, thus they invented technologies... forget the moon, even floating mid-air required parachute, it had been established in their DNA since the first creation.

In the fight, for example, a human required a bow or gun to attack from the distant, or sword and lance in close combat.

But now he just shot out magic from the base of his palm, Alex would be deceiving himself if he wasn't excited.

"You can perform more once your level is higher Alex; invoke a fireball, produce lightning, summon a skeleton, etc..." the system suddenly said.

"So, I didn't particularly need to practice, right? Just increasing my level?"

"Yes, training may help, but your primary source of strength was your level, thus most important to grow."

"I understand..." Alex stored the spellbook back, he patted Momo's shoulder, "can you still fight?"

She knew his meaning, nodded lightly, in fact, Momo's weariness was the least among the four of them, despite she's using much energy than the rest.

"I am sorry, but Shizuka probably needs our help, she might currently also under the attack of the elite goblins..." Alex said in an urgent tone, he knew she's alive, after all, once a character had been summoned to this world, their life was connected to him, so he would know whether they were dead or still kicking.

"I am alright, let's assist her," Momo stood from the ground, she patted the back of her long skirt, "I had called Shibarisugi to come here and clean up the battlefield for you, now let us just focus on helping Shizuka."

"Ok, thank you Momo," Alex smiled, then he glanced at the two soldiers who had been laying on the ground, tired beyond words, he couldn't help but chuckle, said, "stay here boys, rest."

"I love that order, Mr. Star," Dick lifted up his trembling hand and gave a thumb, Damian wearily waved his hand, signaling bon-voyage.

"System, what gifts did I receive?" Alex said while running in the forest, Momo tagged on his side.

"Gift 1#: Wow clearing a goblin nest?! (100,000 P)"

Oh hell yeah, 100,000 points!

After experiencing getting the points through killing, Alex understood unquestionably how difficult to gain that 100,000 points, killing the Wild Boar only boon him 10 P, the Goblin 20 P, and the Elite Goblin 30 P... that meant he needed to fight about 10,000 Wild Boar, 5,000 Goblin, and 3,350 Elite Goblin to achieve the same result...

Let alone it was an impossible undertaking with his current strength, he didn't even sure this forest even had that many populations.

Oh, wait, the reward's title... he got this because he cleared the goblin nest? Did this mean Shizuka was in no danger?

Nevertheless, unless he saw her and confirmed it himself, they still had to hurry...

Alex checked on the next gifts.

"Gift 2#: Level 5 reward! (1 ticket for Grade D equipment)"

Nice, something he could afford to have other than the spellbook, but what should he get though? Preferably something related to magic... or not?

"System what's the best equipment in Grade D?"

"There is hundreds of powerful equipment, what do you specifically have in mind, Alex?"

"Something that can enchant my magic without much complexity."

"How about the Vongola Ring?"

"Vongola Ring?!" Alex couldn't help but said out loud, Momo almost stumbled due to his outburst.

"S-sorry..." he gave a wryly smile to soothe the sharp eyes she addressed to him.

"System, why Vongola Ring is in the D grade? Wasn't it equivalent to be one of the strongest?"

"Alex, you forget that the Vongola Ring had been weakened and also split into half, therefore it comparable to D grade equipment."

"Is there a way for me to unleash its maximum potential?"

"Yes, you can buy another Vongola Ring in C, B, and A grades, combining the Vongola Ring C grade will increase your strength and magic output by 50%, combining it with the B grade will unlock their respective attributes, and lastly, the A grade will reconstruct the Vongola Ring into their lastest form, giving 70% boost and ultimate attribute."

"How much boost of strength the Vongola D rank could benefit me?"

"20% in both strength and magic!"

"Ok, exchange!"

"Which type of ring you want?"

"The sky flame one."

"Affirmative, Alex!"

Immediately on Alex's right hand, a glimpse of light emerged on his right finger, the light subsided and revealed a dark silvery ring with a lighter silver inscription similar to a vein on its surface, half dark crystal embedded at the center of the ring as the word 'Von' was visibly written on a banner in the middle.

So this was Vongola Ring... never expected that he would wear one for real...

"System... what happened if I also wore Mare Ring and Arcobaleno Pacifier? Or combine the three of them into one?"

"You could become insanely powerful Alex... but the strength won't possible for you to handle, at least not in your current strength, even you reach level 50... you will succumb and got burned by the strength..."

There was a reason why the original stones were separated into three, precisely because of their overwhelming power.

"I understand," Alex said, he didn't desire strength that much, as long what he had currently can accomplish his task, then he was content with it, "now let's see the last gift..."

"Gift 3#: Helping those who in trouble (Purifying Water)"

"System, what's a Purifying Water?"

"An item that will cleanse your body, soul, or mind from all kinds of corruption whether from curse or illness, for a woman, it can be used to restore their maiden, even after they had conceived a child before."

What? Using this on a woman could return their virginity?

"When you said this item could restore their maiden... is it artificial or real?"

"Real, Alex, the woman will be once again just like before they have experienced intercourse or broke it by accident."

"..." Alex absolutely speechless, such item, truly heaven-defying.

Earth also capable of this with the high-tech operation method, but it's terribly expensive, and the result was still artificial, no matter how real it looked like.

As for why some women went through this... well, let's say their first time wasn't exactly their happiest.

Alex and Momo arrived in the front of Goblin's Nest, the aftermath of the fight dropped dead bodies of the goblins left and right, bullets hole in their bodies... severed limbs... mutilated forms...

It's gruesome, even for Alex and Momo, therefore they both went silent and didn't tarry at the graveyard.

The cave once again went dark since no more goblin to carry a torch, Alex took out his phone.

Strange that it's still can boot up despite no battery left, he knew it had been modified, but when and how that person did it remained obscure.

Alex lit up the flashlight on his phone, Momo also did the same with her phone, even brighter than Alex.

"Momo, don't your phone required charging?" Alex said while they slowly traversed the cave.

"My sister put a special battery, it automatically recharges when I am not using it..."

"Wow, as expected from Lala..." Alex couldn't hide his admiration, he always had a knack to marvel at people with great intelligence.

Momo lifted the corner of her lips, said in mumbled, "Well, that's my big sister... she's supergenius..."

"You know, I and Nana would have gone to Earth yesterday, giving her some surprise..." Momo touched her lips with one finger, "me curious with this fiance of her."

"Well, I assure you, he is a good young man," Alex said while turning his face toward her, inside bitterly laughed, 'except for his gimmick.'

"How do you know?" Momo cutely wrinkled her eyebrows.

"I have a lot of friends..."

"That doesn't answer my question!"

"It doesn't."

"Will you?!"

"Never."

Momo began to pout while Alex grinned mischievously, they had walked inside quite some time. At this moment, their flashlights suddenly caught something, creatures that were laying on the ground while twitching.

They and a bat looked like a lot, with large wings and wide ears, but their bodies and heads as if joined as one, there was no neck that connected it so far.

"They called Batball, Alex, not dangerous animal but good at letting out an ear-piercing scream, mostly used for alarm, even human also utilizing them that way."

Alex inspected their ears, lots of blood actually poured out, the Batballs sent out a hiss as they saw Alex and Momo began to approach.

Seemingly the previous powerful alarm had caused some damage to them, it wasn't strange to be honest since they were more sensitive to sound than others.

He pondered awhile, thinking whether he should kill or let them be.

"Momo, do you think me as a cruel person if we took advantage of these bats invulnerability?" Alex curled his lips.

"Absolutely, I wouldn't even argue with you... 100% totally cruel..." Momo said, but her tone didn't reveal that much of a care.

"Then cruel it is..." Alex lifted his hand, the Vongola ring immediately lit a small orange flame, he could feel a small bit strength resulted from it.

"Spirit Bolt," a mini sphere shot out from his palm, struck on the bat creature ahead, its body immediately flew a couple of distance, pounded hard the ground before completely stayed still.

Afterward, Alex cleared up all the bats while continued walking ahead, Momo didn't comment anything on his action. There were about 15 of them, and each granted him 1 exp with 1 point and 1 copper, far... so much far lower than the Wild Hog.

Oh, well, cheap they were but a resource still, should not be wasting it.

Alex and Momo arrived at a hole, he drank an Ether to recover his mana before continuing ahead, stumbled into an edge with no severe distance lower ground, but he thought still would be painful if he landed wrong.

"So, man first?" Momo turned her head and faced him with a curled lip.

"I don't know..." Alex said in hesitant, his voice lowered into an awkward tone, "it didn't seem safe, maybe you should go first..."

"Oh, my hero..." she shook her head helplessly, then she leaped down, quite easily landed.

Alex laughed inwardly, curling his lips, said, "Well, look's fine indeed, my turn."

He took a stance then jumped over the edge, his direction headed toward Momo's spot, quickly said, "Momo, think fast!"

"Eh?" Momo in reflex snapped her head upward, seeing Alex was a couple of feet away from her, she intuitively lifted her hands to catch his body, Alex fell into an embrace of a tender girl.

"Oh, nice catch..." Alex laughed before caressing Momo's soft hair, "having super strength sure helpful."

"Hey!" Momo sharply drew her eyebrows and twisted her face in anger, couldn't believe Alex regarded her as a mattress to land on.

"Sorry, sorry... I promise this will not be the last," Alex pinched her cheek before walking away, making the Devilukian princess got more indignant.

They met another edge, shooting down their flashlight and noticed a hole on the lower ground, this must be the one Shizuka mentioned before.

Alex and Momo exchanged glances, she smirked before retreating several steps then dashed ahead, leaping over the edge and reached the wall at the other side, she used her feet to slide downward and right before the hole, she leaped again, safely arrived at the ground.

"Come on Alex, it's fun!" she laughed in smugness.

Like hell I can do that! Alex's lips twitched, she could easily carry him but instead went ahead by herself, tch.

"What's wrong?" her tone smeared with concern, said, "you need my help, tiger?"

"Yes, I do," Alex bought a rope from the system and rolled it down toward Momo, said, "grab this."

"What if I don't want to?" Momo slanted her lips.

"Oh, come on, I am sorry, ok?" Alex tied up the rope around his waist, he pulled it once to make sure it is safe, "I'll buy you something nice as an apology."

"Not all can't be forgiven through gold, Alex... I am deeply offended before..." she didn't take the hold of the rope.

"Ok," but Alex didn't say anything again, he quickly dropped from the edge and fell straight toward the hole!

"Ah?!" his action caught her off-guard, her playful temperament immediately disappeared as she caught the rope in panic, her feet slid slightly toward the hole before she managed to stop Alex's falling, she said in anger, "are you crazy?!"

"Nope, but my heart trust you without a single doubt," Alex grinned in smug now, besides, if she's not pulling the rope, he would be dead, and so she also did.

Momo's pair of cheek groomed in redness, muttered in grudge as she pulled Alex upward, "Smartass."

"Alex?"

At this moment, his ear suddenly transmitted a familiar voice.

"Shizuka? Are you alright?" Alex widened his eyes, didn't hide the joy of hearing her tone.

"I'll live..." Shizuka let out a chuckle, but Alex could notice heavy breathing on her part.

"Shizuka, were you injured?"

"Troubled foot, but I manage..."

"Wait for us, OK? We arrive soon..."

"Un."

(***)

The area after the wooden door was quite spacious but it's still a tunnel nonetheless, there were so many channels, they wouldn't be able to find her quickly if not for Shizuka's guidance.

She leaned against the wall, her clothes had been torn here and there but no blood oozed out from them, probably had taken potion.

"Hey..." Alex crouched beside her, noticed her paleness and exhaustion, couldn't help but feel bad.

"You... succeeded, I hope?" she said in the midst of half-lidded eyes.

"Yeah, we won... thanks to you also," Alex looked at her feet that wrapped in black cloth, presumably ripped from his tuxedo.

"The damn goblin took the chunk out of it, I guess the potion couldn't recover missing meat..." she bitterly chuckled.

"Don't worry, there is a method to recover it, I promise you..."

Shizuka helplessly nodded.

"Come, let me supported you..." Momo stepped forward and hugged her to walk, Shizuka didn't reject it.

They still had to find Elliot's sister, therefore, roaming on the tunnel, there were several rooms like a chamber, it had a bed and table made of rock.

About 30 minutes or so, they arrived at a somewhat bigger room, it actually had the real soft bed... but the smell in here was rather terrible.

A young woman sat at the center of the bed, she had a caucasian face with curly golden-colored hair, her eyes resembled Elliot which honey-colored irises with a pair of thick eyebrows, her nose was heroic and pair of lips were light cream.

Wrapped in a white mantle, her face was intensely stiff, but upon seeing Alex, Momo, and Shizuka entered the room, she widened her eyes and sighed in relief.

"Heroes, I suppose you have defeated the entire nest then?" she said in valiant tone.

Alex and the others exchanged glances, the young woman said again, "I heard the commotion, honestly didn't have much faith you could succeed, but I am glad you actually did."

"Let me introduced myself, my name is Alexis, I am the citizen of Avalon City, may I know the name of the gallant people who had slain the goblin?"

They once again surprised, Momo and Shizuka glanced at Alex, while the latter thought somewhat funnily, they never ask the name of Elliot's sister, therefore, didn't expect it would be similar with Alex.

Or if the woman in front actually Elliot's sister...

"I am Star, this is Bella, and she's Kunoichi, we are, among with other 50 people were from Gentlesmith, sent to investigate the irregularity that occurred in Dawn Forest, we were shocked to find this many populations of goblins, we lost half of our people in the battle."

The woman nodded, she crept out from the bed and walked toward them, said, "I am sorry for your lost, we also had not anticipated this situation, in fact, this completely out of our expectation, the way they operated as if they had been expecting our arrival..."

"Oh, Sir Star, forgive my audacity, by any chance, had you encountered a young man in the forest? He's 17 years old with golden long hair and red attire."

"..." Alex pondered a bit, then shook his head, saying, "I am sorry... I don't think we have."

"I see," her face revealed quite a bitterness, then she bowed her body, said, "I am grateful for your aid; if fate allows us to meet again in the future, I hope to pay this benevolent properly."

"Where do you want to go?" Momo asked.

"I have to go search for this young man, he's my responsibility."

"The forest is rather dangerous you know, what if he's no longer alive?" Alex said.

"Then I will carry his body back to Avalon, burry him together with my ancestor," Alexis swept her eyes toward the three of them, gave a bit of the smile, "but will you mind if I tag along for a while? The goblins had taken my armors and sword away, I suspected they had stashed them in an armory, but I don't know which room."

"You... never leave this room?" Momo said in hesitation.

Alexis shook her head, "But if you pardon my audacity, I rather not to speak about it."

They immediately went silent, knew by the nature of these goblins, they must have tormented her, therefore agreed to drop the subject.

"Of course, we don't mind," Alex smiled, then the four of them walked out of the room.

They walked down the tunnel again, inspecting each room, found several items but nothing particularly worthwhile.

"So, what are you doing in the Dawn Forest before Ms. Alexis?" Alex said, alone with her in the room as he looked at the random paper, this was a sort of diary, not belong to the goblin since Alex refused to believe one of them could have written something this sentimental.

"We were heading for Silverback Mountain, Sir," Alexis grabbed a shield, looking at the insignia of a tower on it, she appeared a little surprise, said, "this belongs to the knight of Grandson, their several newly knighted people had been disappeared since 10 months ago, never expect they had fallen in the hands of goblin."

"System, what's so special about Silverback Mountain?"

"Silverback mountain was among one of the highest mountains in the Moonlight Continent, it was to be said the home of the mighty Wyvern, its feces contained unique effect to heal certain poison."

"Why do you need Wyvern's feces?" Alex said as he looked at her.

"There is someone we know has been suffering strange poison, Sir, the doctor said it was one of the ingredients for the cure, so we formed a group and traveled there."

"You have the confidence to slay the Wyvern?"

"Of course not, Sir, we have prepared something to make it asleep," Alexis said, then she sighed in bitterness, "but obviously the plan failed, the entire group had been decimated before we reached Silverback Mountain yet."

"Why you had to go by yourself? Couldn't you just hire people or something?"

"We did... but no one answered to us... the deadline was very short after all..." Alexis then widened her eyes, looked at Alex, "Sir, how much time had passed since your departure?"

"4 days," Alex said.

"Oh... then we only had half of the month left..." Alexis somewhat became downcast, leaning against the wall surface with despondent eyes.

"..."

(***)

Not long after, they arrived at a sort of big gate, Alex looked at Alexis, the latter shook her head gently, expressed her lack of knowledge regarding this place.

He lifted his hand and pushed the door slowly, what scene laid before them was... mortifying.

It's a large hall with several pillars in the vicinity, there were females that were hung with a chain on those pillars, their expression was dulled and legs spread apart, not wearing a shred of articles...

Momo trembled fiercely, her legs as if losing strength as she dropped onto the ground, bringing down Shizuka along with her.

Alex looked at the scene with absentminded expression, this beyond what he could express, even pain or sadness couldn't even describe his feeling.

No wonder those goblins were so many, by the quantity of the females inside this area, it's enough perhaps to give birth to 30 goblins...

Alexis watched the monstrosity while clenching her hands, her nail jabbed fiercely into her palm as blood dripped from the gaps of her finger.

Shizuka looked to the side, also tried to comfort Momo.

None of them once capable to move their legs... it's like an invisible spell had bound their bodies.
