A young boy was running in the forest with three grey wolves trailing after.

*Howl* The wolves howled menacingly as they chased cruelly after the young boy.

"Come catch me if you can!" Mu Cheng turned his head and taunted. There was no fear in Mu Cheng's eyes. He was calm and composed.

The wolves seemingly angered by Mu Cheng's taunt continued chasing after the boy.

Just as Mu Cheng passed a large boulder, suddenly a large orange figure shot out from the side of the boulder.

*Roar* A majestic tiger roar reverberated the forest.

The wolves chasing after Mu Cheng suddenly froze. A'Hu's figure shot forward and tore apart the foremost wolf's neck with his big maw. Immediately, A'Hu twisted his body and jumped toward the two wolves behind the first wolf. Aiming his left and right claws at the two wolves.

*Bam* A'Hu's left and right claws swiped the two wolves, drawing bone deep wounds. The wolf to the right seemed unluckier as the claw disemboweled it.

"Hahaha! Great!" Mu Cheng turned around, shouted merrily as he pounced at the last injured wolf.

Before the wolf even had the time to recover, Mu Cheng stabbed an iron kitchen knife into its throat. The wolf could only open and close its mouth, again and again, only managed to make a few gurgling sounds.

Seeing the wolf was about to pass away, Mu Cheng hurriedly put his hand on the wolf and focused on the Re-Allocator.

Name:

Race: Grey Wolf

Age: 3

Strength: 1.2

Agility: 1.8

Vitality: 1.1

Intelligence: 0.5

Skills(3)> Tracking Lv3(200/400)

Cooperation Lv3 ( 150/400)

Cross Terrain Balance Lv2(50/200)

With a thought, the three skills disappeared and Mu Cheng gained 11 AP turning his remaining AP to 205 AP.

Seeing the status window of the wolf slowly disappear, he quickly glanced at the wolf as the light in its eyes faded. The wolf died, Mu Cheng quickly kneeled down and began skinning the wolves with great familiarity.

It had been a month since Mu Cheng started living with Grandpa Fu. Every day he would help out with drying some herbs, preparing herbs, concocting medicine and reading the encyclopedia about medicine and herbs that Grandpa Fu had compiled.

Mu Cheng learned that the language in this world was called Xiling, the Xiling characters were completely different from Chinese characters, but the spoken language was pretty similar to Chinese. That's why Mu Cheng hadn't noticed the difference until Grandpa Fu started teaching Mu Cheng how to read. Because Mu Cheng had designed the Re-Allocator in Chinese, so when he read his own body's name, it was naturally written in Chinese. Which had caused some misunderstanding to Mu Cheng about coming to ancient China.

Mu Cheng had then confirmed that he had indeed transmigrated to a wholly different world. Of course, Mu Cheng didn't have the patience to learn the written language in a few months, so he simply put some AP into the Xiling Language skill that had popped up after Grandpa Fu started teaching Mu Cheng how to read.

Mu Cheng had simply made an excuse and said that after seeing the Xiling characters, it made him remember some of his memories which then made him able to read with great proficiency. This also further strengthened Grandpa Fu's belief that Mu Cheng was of noble birth.

Because commoners rarely learned to read and write, especially children. Only when they were adolescent or adults that chose jobs that required writing and reading, would they begin to learn. But to nobles, they had land, numerous businesses, servants to manage and reputation. It was a necessity for noble children to learn writing at a young age.

Mu Cheng had also learned a better way to accumulate AP without ruining the environment. Because the Re-Allocator could select any target Mu Cheng was in contact with. Regardless if it's a living being or inanimate objects, their status would be shown in the Re-Allocator. But after experimenting, Mu Cheng learned that he could only change the attributes of inanimate objects and not living ones except himself. Which was different from what he knew of the Re-Allocator he personally made.

And trees and plants were not exactly inanimate objects, there were alive in a sense. But Mu Cheng had no problem using his golden finger on them.

So Mu Cheng had caught a mole and tried experimenting. After knocking out the mole, Mu Cheng had no problem changing the unconscious mole's attributes, age and skills. The problem with using the golden finger on other living beings was their consciousness resisted the golden finger one way or another.

Mu Cheng had even tried Energy Conversion on the mole, which left a dumbfounded Mu Cheng staring at a pile of ash. Yes, the Energy Conversion which he had believed to only be capable of destroying the environment, could also be used on living beings, if they were unconscious.

But using Energy Conversion on living beings was very inefficient, as it only converted the energy and mass, which would be their body into AP. A mole's body didn't even give a single AP, while extracting the mole's age and skills' xp as well as attributes gave him a few AP.

So the best way to gain AP is to steal other's xp! Just like how Mu Cheng had stabbed the wolf's throat, and at the last moment before it died, it's consciousness had turned very fussy, without any resistance against the Re-allocator, Mu Cheng extracted its' skill xp with ease.

As for why Mu Cheng didn't touch the wolf's attributes and age, the moment its age and attribute changed, its body would have large transformations visible to everyone.

Although A'Hu can't speak, who knows what would happen in the future if he kept extracting every single drop of AP without scruples.

What was shocking was A'Hu's attributes were really high.

Strength: 4.1

Agility: 3.2

Vitality: 4.4

Intelligence 1.2

A'Hu's intelligence which exceeded that of an average man's greatly shocked Mu Cheng when he had observed A'Hu's information. Therefore, although he often cooperated with A'Hu to hunt some animals, he would not show any hint of his secrets to the tiger. He would only extract the skills of the animals they hunted, and not anything else that would cause physical transformations.

Mu Cheng had gained a lot in this month, glancing at the race droplist, he saw numerous new entries he had unlocked.

Tiger, Bear, Wolf, Falcon, Boar, Rabbit, Mole and Ferret.

Mu Cheng had simply caressed A'Hu and added Tiger to the list. As for Falcon, Mu Cheng came up with the brilliant idea to make himself the bait while he had A'Hu look after him. With great backing, Mu Cheng emboldened and had lured wolves, boars, and even a bear to A'Hu. Except for the bear, the wolves and boars were easily finished off. Mu Cheng had to help A'Hu kill the bear, or else it would be hard for him to explain to Grandpa Fu if A'Hu were to be greatly injured during their hunts.

With the brilliant idea of turning himself into a bait, Mu Cheng found some time to enter the forest alone and transformed into a Grey-backed Shrike, and flew high up into the air. And just as he expected, a large falcon immediately swooped down on this delicious treat called Mu Cheng. But just as the falcon managed to catch Mu Cheng in it's claws, Mu Cheng quickly changed back into his human self and grabbed the miserable falcon by the neck.

As the two were falling down toward the ground from high above sky, Mu Cheng had quickly scanned the falcon, before he quickly cracked its neck and turned it to ashes with the Energy Conversion, leaving no evidence of Mu Cheng's secrets. He then transformed back into a Grey-backed Shrike and hurriedly landed back on the ground.

Although Mu Cheng found many more animals and insects, he was afraid that if he were to try changing into something like a worm which had no brain, he would end up as a real worm forever without the ability to think again. Therefore he only decided to add some useful animals to the race list.

Looking at his skill list which had several new entries

"I sure have a lot of skills now." Mu Cheng muttered. Though he had quite a number of skills, none of them were special.

"Too bad Flying doesn't work without wings." Mu Cheng stared at the Flying skill which only worked when he turned into a bird.

"Maybe be I can customize a pair of wings on my back? Ugh, this is in ancient times, witch hunts and demon hunts, such things are quite common in such era. Let's forget about that, I don't want to be condemned as a demon and prosecuted." Mu Cheng quickly slapped his forehead. Maybe if it was in a western-like place, a pair of white swan wings would make people think he was an angel, but here in an oriental based place, they probably didn't even know what an angel was.

As Mu Cheng lived with Grandpa Fu, he had noticed that the old man always woke up as early as 4 am in the morning every day to practice Tai Chi. Yes, the exact same name as Tai Chi which the elderly Chinese citizen always practiced every day to stay healthy.

The reason Mu Cheng decided to learn Tai Chi from the old man, was not only because he could learn a complete Martial art, but mostly because he was curious if there were supernatural powers in this world.

Mu Cheng had inspected Grandpa Fu's information and was greatly shocked by his high attribute at the age of 72.

Name: Fu Haotu

Age: 72

Strength: 2.1

Agility: 2.4

Vitality: 2

Intelligence: 2.8

If not for having inspected Grandpa Fu's information, he would have thought the old man was in his 50s. Although the old man had some wrinkles on his face, it only made him look like he was in his early 50s. Not only that, his attribute was so high for someone so old.

Mu Cheng had been proud of his high attributes, but it was only a bit higher than Grandpa Fu's which was already as old as 72.

After all, an old man at such a high age would normally have quite a weak body, no matter whether they worked out daily or not, it would not be normal for their average attributes to exceed much more than 1.2, and most of them would have less than 1 in strength and vitality.

But Grandpa Fu, not only looked much younger than his actual age, his strength greatly exceeded an ordinary man's even at such a great age.

During this month, Mu Cheng has only seen Grandpa Fu practice Tai Chi to stay healthy and strong. After practicing Tai Chi for a month every morning at 4 am with Grandpa Fu, Mu Cheng had noticed that his Tai Chi improved much faster during the first 15 minutes in the morning. Looking at the skill, Mu Cheng had seen himself gaining much more xp in Tai Chi during those 15 minutes than the remaining other 15 minutes.

According to what Grandpa Fu said, 4 am was the time the sun started rising and it was the time when vitality was most rich in the air due to the Yang Qi emitted by the rising sun.

Every morning Grandpa Fu would practice Tai Chi for half an hour. It seemed that the old man had a good idea of the time which vitality was richest in the air.

Although Mu Cheng was eager to know what changes he would experience once he improved his Tai Chi by leaps and bounds, but due to Grandpa Fu having practiced Tai Chi his whole life. He was afraid the sudden improvement would easily be seen through by Grandpa Fu. The Re-Allocator was his biggest secret, and Mu Cheng had no plans on revealing it to the first human he had met since he arrived in this world.

But finally, Mu Cheng had stayed for a month now, and it was time for Grandpa Fu to bring Mu Cheng on a trip to Blue Haw Village. By Then Mu Cheng would find a change to stay in the village. By then, he will have complete freedom.
