Allan didn’t know when the Donquixote Family left Spider Miles, but if he didn’t leave immediately, then his chances of finding them would greatly decrease by the day.

Taking over Dressrosa would happen three years from now, so Allan had to arrive before Donquixote Family left Spider Miles for their new base.

As for why he was confident even though he lacked information, it was because the target he had was not Donquixote Family, rather it was Russian who didn’t even know that Señor Pink was a pirate.

Gin and Kaku also arrived in time.

“Gin! Kaku! You were sparring again weren’t you?”

Allan said with a narrow and dangerous smile.

Gin and Kaku froze, before looking at each other and nodding.

Allan stared at the two for a while, seeing that none of them were injured, he just sighed and told them his plans.

“So Kaku will stay this time around, the family should hibernate for some time since we made too much noise this past ten months.”

Allan explained.

The giant pelicans weren’t fully trained so he could only bring Gin with him, the two of them would ride two giant pelicans and the rest would be left to the animal breeders in Pelican Island for more training.

“Right Kaku, please call Sister Makino, I’ll try my best to return on time, but I’m not sure if I’ll get delayed on this trip, but this trip is too important for PELICAN and the family, so if I can’t get back in time, you can ask Sister Makino if she can wait for a while more, or if she can’t then you can leave Chen Town to get her.”

Allan explained.

There was still about a month or so left before Allan and Makino’s promise, but taking Russian away was too important, Russian’s Grandfather, Mr. Luke, was one of the rare few who knew how to create a surveillance snail system like the one in Impel Down.

If Allan could install a similar system in his PELICAN(Pelican Express Lines, Information Courier And Network), then his rough PELICAN would start to take shape, Gin has already trained thousands of pelicans and has roughly deployed them in most islands in the East Blue.

By letting pelicans patrol a certain coded area and making them carry a bag of small wooden plates with the number of the area printed and an image of marine, pirate, or merchant on them, the pelican only needs to pass it back to other pelicans until the wooden plate returns to Pelican Island where the PELICAN Base was hidden, the Jaeger Family can know which area has pirates, marines, or merchants, although the relay might be delayed, the constant relay of wooden plates would allow them to trace the different parties in the sea.

But the farther the area, the more delayed it was so it was an extremely rough system.

Allan thinks that Big News Morgans, the one who owns and operates the News Coo Birds spreading the news all over the One Piece World including the turbulent Grand Line, has already awakened his devil fruit.

Devil fruit awakening allows devil fruit users to influence their surroundings, this can be seen with Paramecia Fruits, the Logia Fruits might have a similar effect which might be the reason for the permanent change in Punk Hazard’s weather.

Zoan types also have this effect if Nika Fruit was considered an example.

There were also the jailers in Impel Down who were also considered awakened, but the jailers were awakened Devil Fruit users whose wills were overridden by their Devil Fruits.

Both Rob Lucci and Kaku also showed their awakened forms, but so far none of them has shown anything out of the ordinary just the typical physical enhancement.

The Nika Fruit is a Mythical Zoan-type making it hard to know whether Zoan fruits, Normal ones, or Ancient types had the ability to influence their surroundings or specifically other creatures.

But if the intelligence of the News Coo Bird was considered, Morgans, a user of the Zoan Type Bird-Bird Fruit Model Albatross might have used his awakening to further train his News Coo Birds.

Or Allan was wrong and the News Coo Birds were all normal Seagulls that were trained for a long period of time and naturally became more and more intelligent.

But the fluctuating intelligence of the creatures in One Piece was quite confusing for Allan so he just set the thought aside.

Overall, Allan considered retrieving Russian a very important task, almost at the level of Law’s importance, it just so happens that the two coincided.

But Allan also showed how important Makino was by instructing Kaku to leave for her if Allan was unable to return on time, rendering their base without any leader for almost half a month.

“Take care while we’re gone Kaku.”

Allan said with a wave.

No one other than Kaku knew that Gin and Allan left to ensure confidentiality, the other family members were still children so they might not be able to keep it a secret.

And so with that, the Jaeger Family started to hibernate and only Kaku would show up occasionally.

Allan and Gin each rode a Giant Pelican.

Rather than ride, Allan and Gin were in small ships with a handle on top, the Giant Pelican would grab the handle before taking off, the small ship had everything Allan and Gin needed and was perfectly capable of sailing the sea if needed.

Although Allan couldn’t do heavy exercise since it would weigh the Giant Pelican down, he could still train his devil fruit and Observation Haki instead.

Similarly, Gin was training his devil fruit ability, and Allan wanted him to train it until he could sprout two wings without the other pelican-like feature showing.

However, unlike Allan, Gin was busy navigating and instructing the giant pelicans every now and then.

Allan after thinking of taking Law, has also discovered how normal people crossed the Red Line from one blue to another.

As shown in the series, there were two so-called Bondolas, elevators powered by bubbles.

Each of the Bondola was labeled 1 and 2, in fact, on each side of the Red Line, two similar Bondolas were installed, from West Blue to South Blue, and North Blue to East Blue.

All four corners could have been covered if not for the Reverse Mountain.

As for crossing from South Blue to North Blue, East Blue to West Blue, one needed to cross the Grand Line which is extremely difficult, or traverse the Red Line from East Blue Bondolas to West Blue Bondolas, but then you’ll have to pass by Mariejois.

Similarly, you could use this way to enter the New World or the second half of the Grand Line.

So traversing from one neighboring blue to another wasn’t that difficult, just pay enough and know enough people, as for the amount paid and the people you had to know, Allan didn’t know, only that normal people won’t ever have any chance to do so in their life.

But travel from North to South or West to East was trickier as one needs to cross Mariejois and travel half the world, but overall, it's far safer than crossing the two Calm Belts and the Grand Line.

There’s a reason why the Calm Belt was considered a safe haven for Amazon Lily until the Vegapunk created a way with seastone plated paddle-ships.

The Giant Pelicans flew in between rests.

Without the small ship to carry, the Giant Pelicans were able to traverse the whole Red Line in half a day, but carrying the ship and flying high enough to not be seen meant far more effort than usual.

After almost one day, Allan and Gin finally crossed the Red Line, Gin guided the Pelicans towards the Swallow Island first, as young as Law was, he was already a qualified doctor, and with the Surgery Fruit, Allan wouldn’t have to worry about Russian not being safe while traveling, after all, Allan didn’t know whether Russian was currently pregnant or has already given birth to Gimlet.

If she was and Allan’s carelessness caused a miscarriage, then the old man would probably die of a heart attack.

 So Swallow Island was his first destination.

Allan arrived in front of a weird house, Gin was curious because he thought they were going to the town on the island.

Bang! Bang!

Two heavy sounds resounded when the Giant Pelicans landed.

“What was that?!”

Voices inside the house said in panic.

An old man with a red sun visor wearing an aloha shirt, shorts, and sandals, in a place where it snows heavily, such a sight would be puzzling.

“Who are you?!”

The old man asked.

As silly as the old man looked, the rifle in his hands was no joke.

The two small ships suddenly moved and a small ramp lowered down.

Allan and Gin both walked out at the same time.

“Who are you two?”

The old man asked again.

“Ahem, please don’t be threatened, we come in peace.”

Allan said smilingly with raised hands.

Gin, as silly as he thought Allan was, copied Allan’s actions making Allan chuckle.

“Old man, it’s so cold outside, can’t you invite us in?”

Allan said eyeing the old man’s attire, who would wear such an attire in heavy snow.

Although it looked funny, it was a testament to how durable the old guy was.

“We don’t even know you, why should I let you in?”

The old man said with narrowed eyes.

Although his tone softened, the rifle was already raised at a dangerous level, and Gin’s eyes started to turn dangerous seeing the old man’s action.

Seeing the old man raise his gun, Allan raised his right hand to signal Gin to stay calm.

“Let me introduce myself, my name is Jaeger Allan 12 years old, this here is my brother Gin who is turning 14 this year, as I said, we come in peace, I heard someone say an inventor named Mr. Wolf lived here in Swallow Island so I came to visit.”

Allan said with a smile.

When the old man heard the almost two-meter-tall Allan was only 12 years old, and the 1.5-meter Gin was 14 years old, and hearing that the two came to visit him, the old man finally lowered his guard.

“Then come in, it's cold outside.”

The old man said with a chuckle, flattered that someone came to him for his reputation as an inventor.

A short boy wearing a fur hat rolled his eyes at the old man while staring wearily at the two strangers both wearing black suits with silver rims.

Especially the one who said he was only 12 years old.

Behind the boy were three other individuals, Penguin, Shachi, and finally Bepo, 15, 14, and 9 years old respectively.

“Oh who are these kids Mr. Wolf?”

Allan asked, Wolf was not surprised, since they came to visit him, it was not too odd to know his name.

“Oh these brats? I picked them up around the Island, this one is Law, that one is Penguin, he is Shachi, and that cute white bear is named Bepo.”

Wolf said while pointing at each one.

“Law, go bring hot choco in the kitchen.”

Wolf instructed, Law wanted to roll his eyes but after a second thought, he nodded back.

The other three followed Law like a bunch of ducklings.

Allan couldn’t help but chuckle at the sight.

After arriving in the living room, the three sat down.

“So is there anything you need me with?”

Wolf asked.

“Well, there is something, but rather than need you for something, the Jaeger Family needs someone with your expertise, right now we have some fame in the East Blue and have a net worth of about 300 million berries, I Jaeger Allan would like to invite you as our exclusive scientist, the Jaeger Family will do its best to supply you with everything you want to fund for your inventions but we want exclusive rights over your inventions.”

Allan said with a serious tone, Gin was surprised but kept his composure.

“This, I wasn’t expecting this.”

Wolf said in surprise.

Although he had some fame in Pleasure Town, he only sold little trinkets from his inventions, and a lot of his inventions were failed ones with the successful ones hidden from the public, but Allan asked to invite him just because of his silly reputation.

“Tell me, why are you really here?”

Wolf suddenly asked.
