Kaidou saw his subordinates all over the island being knocked out by Conqueror's Haki. He grunted in dissatisfaction before striding into Yamato's room.

As soon as he walked into the room, he was immediately hit by the strong smell of alcohol. His treasured sake gourd with the character "Heaven" on it lay overturned on the floor. He roared angrily, "You insolent son! How dare you drink my sake!"

Kaidou had two horns on his head and was seven meters tall. He was bare-chested and had an X-shaped scar on the right side of his abdomen. Similar to Yamato, he wore a white nio-dasuki around his waist.

He glared at Yamato with a threatening expression. In response, Yamato showed no fear in her face and held her head high as if to say, "Yes, I drank it. What are you going to do about it?"

Kaidou struck Yamato in the face with a thunderous 'thud'. The resilient girl was sent flying more than ten meters away with a single punch and crashed heavily into a wall!

"What a stupid son you are!" Kaidou resembled a fierce beast from the primeval times with a murderous look on his face.

Yamato was used to his unpredictable temper. She wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth and rose to her feet. Then she grabbed her kanabo and took a defensive stance.

For the next ten minutes, it was basically Kaidou beating up his "son."

Vivi, hiding under the bed, felt every moment like an eternity. Her mind wandered, and at one point she even thought of the Supernova of the North Blue, Basil Hawkins.

If only she had his fortune-telling skills, she could have avoided being trapped under a bed, trembling in fear of someone's father, right?

Yamato, wearing the Seastone handcuffs, had no chance against Kaidou. But even without them, she would have been no match for him even in her prime. Nevertheless, she gritted her teeth and stubbornly resisted. Every time she was knocked down, she would get back up again.

"What a stupid idiot! Who came to the island in the last few days, you are not going to tell me?" Kaidou's words made Vivi's face turn ghostly pale as she hid under the bed.

"You're wrong, no one came to Onigashima, I killed those pirates myself," Yamato stubbornly denied it and refused to admit anything.

In fact, Kaidou himself was somewhat uncertain. He was one of the Four Emperors, not a detective. There were few clues left on Onigashima, and he had only glanced at them before.

The traces of "Shishi: Senjindani" had already been obscured by flames. All he could see were the marks of "Ikoku," "Hakai," and the scorch marks scattered all over the place.

Kaidou was momentarily confused by the clues. There were flames and traces of "Ikoku," but it couldn't possibly be that old hag Charlotte Linlin, right? What would she want with his "son"? They had no connection whatsoever!

He quickly ruled out the possibility that it was his cheap big sister. So who could it be? He knew the stubborn nature of his "son" all too well. Once Yamato had made up her mind, she wouldn't talk, even under threat of death. He would have a hard time getting the truth out of her. Direct questioning wouldn't work, but maybe he could use the naivety of his "son" to his advantage...

"You fool of a son, why can't you understand my good intentions? I'm getting old. When I die, the Land of Wano will be yours. I'll make you the Shogun of Wano!"

Kaidou exclaimed in a loud voice. However, Yamato became extremely angry when she heard this, "You still have the face to speak of Wano?! You seized it through conspiracy! You don't deserve to be called Emperor. You're nothing but a petty and treacherous villain!"

Yamato looked Kaidou straight in the eye, "I despise you. I want to be a hero and I will use all my strength to protect Wano!"

Kaidou scoffed: "A hero? You are my son, a pirate by birth. It's in your blood. You cannot be a hero, and no country would accept a hero like you!"

Yamato retorted loudly, "Pirates can be heroes too, like that person in Araba..."

She abruptly paused in mid-sentence and clamped her lips shut.

Kaidou laughed, a triumphant grin on his face: "Araba? You mean Arabasta, right? A former pirate who is now a hero? Let me guess, you're not talking about Crocodile, are you?"

His face was full of contempt. Golden Lion regarded him as a mere 'brat,' and Kaidou viewed Crocodile in a similar light. The only difference was that the old and injured Golden Lion was easily defeated by the 'brat.' But Crocodile? Could Crocodile defeat Kaidou? That would take at least another hundred years!

Seeing the anxious look on Yamato's face, Kaidou burst out laughing. "Worororo— Crocodile!? Such a minor character has become your new idol? Fine! I'll send Jack to Arabasta. It won't be long before you see Crocodile's head! Worororo—!"

Kaidou left the room laughing wildly, leaving Yamato with a face full of frustration and Vivi under the bed, not knowing what expression to wear.

To be honest, she did have an "If I don't torment Crocodile, I'll die" disease. However, she never expected things to turn out like this because of a misunderstanding.

Claiming that Crocodile was a hero was just a ploy to keep Yamato and Ace from intervening, as she planned to deal with Crocodile herself.

Little did she expect things would get this weird.

Jack the Drought going after Crocodile? Two completely unrelated individuals colliding unexpectedly like this... as Old Van would say, this is truly a strange twist of fate!

Kaidou's main forces were still chasing after Golden Lion. He had just returned to get some sake. Soon after, he transformed into his Azure Dragon form, grabbed his sake gourd, stepped onto a cloud, and flew off into the distance.

Vivi waited for a while, only emerging from under the bed when the tingling sense of imminent danger had completely dissipated.

"Sorry, I'm really sorry!" Yamato looked genuinely remorseful.

Vivi was unable to explain. What could she say? That she had been lying to them all along? That Crocodile was really a bad guy?

"Actually, it's no big deal. The Seven Warlords of the Sea are an important force used by the World Government to counter the Four Emperors. Those guys are not as weak as you might think. Facing your father's subordinate, Jack the Drought, Crocodile should be able to hold his own, I think..."

Her explanation lacked conviction, and she felt that the more she explained, the more mistakes she might make in the future. So she decided to drop the subject.

She advised Yamato not to think too much and assured her that she would definitely come back with Mr. 3 to rescue her. After that, she left Onigashima in a hurry.

She decided that she wouldn't dare to return in the short term. The experience had been just too intense!

...

In the days that followed, Vivi refrained from returning to Onigashima for fear of being trapped under the bed by Kaidou again.

Fortunately, the Den Den Mushi, which had been knocked out by the Conqueror's Haki, regained its functionality after three days of rest.

Vivi first assured her pet duck, Karoo, that she would be joining it soon. Then she contacted Old Van and asked him to send a ship to pick her up.

There was no need to directly enter Wano Country, as long as the ship was docked near the waterfall close to Wano, she could fly there herself.

The death of Fukurou, coupled with the departure of Rob Lucci and his team to Arabasta as undercover agents, had created a severe manpower shortage in CP9. This situation brought Old Van under the radar of CP9's Chief, Spandam.

Known for his ruthless actions and indifference to murder, as well as his lack of ambition for power, Old Van had become one of Spandam's favored subordinates. Hence, the dispatch of a ship in the name of the World Government was no problem at all.
