“ Yasmine you awake,” said Jewels excitedly 

 

“ Doctor she has woken up” Jewels shouted

 

I lay there on the bed looking at the room in confusion. Why was I here again, I asked myself. The more I tried to remember the worse my headache got.

 

“You did not attain any serious head injury which is a relief, you can leave once you feel like it,” said this strange man in blue scrubs.

 

Funny he said that I could leave and I do not even know why I was here in the first place>

 

“ Yasmine how do feel,” said Jewels as she touched my hand bringing me back to reality.

“ I’m feeling fine really, Why am I hear?” I asked 

“ Gosh, you don’t remember don’t you, you fell in the bathroom and hit your head I found you there and got help for you,” she said as she looked me dead in the eyes.

“Let's get out of here and go home,” I said as I got up out of the hospital bed 

“ Oh about home, your room is destroyed,” she said as she looked down at her hands

“ Jewels, what do you mean that my room is destroyed, What did I do” I said as I fell to my knees in disbelief.

“ It was flooded, You can live with me until it’s fixed don’t worry,” she said and she came close to me

“Thanks, Jewels,” I said in relive as I hugged her.

Honestly don’t know what I would do without Jewels, For a moment I thought that I messed up and exposed myself but that wasn’t the case. But it still seems like I am missing something. Something else did happen but I can’t seem to remember right now.

I sat on Jewel's couch lost in my thoughts, scratching my head realizing that a bandage was there. So I tore it off.

“ Yasmine!, no what are you doing you had stitches there what are doing” shouted Jewels 

I had stitches what, then why does it feel normal?

“ Looks fine to me,” I said to as  I looked in the mirror and saw that I was perfectly fine

“What do you mean, I saw with my  own eyes that the doctors literally had to cut some of your hair to stitch you up, you had a bald patch” Jewels said and she scanned my head

“ No way it’s all gone, you healed. Looks like that has something to do with you being a fairy” She said happily 

Oh wow, I can self-heal that’s new, Well I guess there is more I need to learn.

“ Yasmine, something has been bothering me since yesterday,” said Jewels 

“ Wait, What I have been in the hospital since yesterday. No way” I said surprisingly

“ While on the ambulance you looked scared as if someone was attacking you, You said help me, right before you passed out,” said Jewels as tears rushed from her eyes

“ Oh Jewels don’t cry, I don’t remember saying that maybe that was just a side effect of my body healing it’s self “I said as I hugged her

I lied, I remember everything now the dream, or should I say the vision? the strange man in

the shadows the heart beat and the voices. I remember it all

“ Hey, why don’t we check out that new cafe you always wanted to check on campus” I said to Jewels so she could forget what just happened.

 

“ Sure let go, good idea ”

I wondered who was that strange man-like figure I kept on seeing in that vision, and what the voices were saying. But I just can’t seem to break through.

 

You know humans always wish that they were birds cause they believe that as long as you have wings you are free, but wings like creatures like us fairies and birds all have our own burdens to deal with.

 

Having wings doesn't mean that you are free, having a wing is like having an extra burden, and being a fairy or a bird is not easy.

“ Yasmine, girl are you even here,” said Jewels as she sakes me 

“ Oh yes I’m here what do mean, I just got lost in thought that’s all,” I said as I giggled

“ Look it’s Kai, you hit him yesterday remember” 

“ Why did you have to remind me of that, I still can’t believe it, Jewels why is he comin' over here, Let's run,” I said as I grabbed Jewels by her wrist but she stood still

“ Hello ladies,” he said as he stood in front of us 

“ Oh hello! Kai you know Yasmine was just telling me how she feels shy to apologize to you” said Jewels as she pulled me towards her 

“ Right, Yasmine,” she said as she winked

 

Oh no she didn't

“ Oh right hey Kai about yesterday I’m so sorry, I wasn’t thinking uhm please don’t hate me cause Like you, oh crap it’s not in like-like you, I mean I like you when you're not mad at me,” I said in embarrassment and blush

 

“ Oh of course don’t worry about it, I heard about your accident yesterday so I bought you these free coupons for the new cafe Have fun Bye ladies,” He said as he turned and walked away

As he turned and walked just looking at him from the back brings the back memory of that strange figure I saw in my vision. It’s Kai it’s him. I fell to the ground with an impulsive headache.

“ He there wait!!!” I shouted at Kai 

He turned around and had a very strange smirk on his face and his eyes were glowing blue. Then he continued walking until he was out of sight.

 

“ Yasmine are you okay, Let's get you to sit down inside” Jewels are she helping me up

 

That was strange who is he, or should I say what is he?
