Harmony Ascension Academy, Yuki Provence, Heavenly Retribution Territory

Takeshi Tigerman, the Samurai and Minister of Defense of the Alliance of Heavenly Retribution, stood outside the gates of Heavenly Ascension Academy in Yuki Provence. His gaze lingered on the children practicing with wooden swords in the courtyard.

They were a diverse group, comprised of Beastmen and former child slaves rescued by Ye from the clutches of the Flesh Merchants. Despite their varied backgrounds, a common thread united them: a burning desire to learn the ways of the samurai and ninja.

Watching them, Takeshi felt a deep sense of gratitude towards Ye. The period of Ye's coma had seen things slow down significantly, but Ye's generous funding had transformed the academy into a prestigious institution, far exceeding Takeshi's initial expectations.

Now, Heavenly Ascension Academy stood as a beacon of excellence, accepting Beastmen and offering training unparalleled in the land, a living testament to Ye's vision and benevolence.

Pride swelled in Takeshi as he observed the children's training. He knew, without a doubt, that Ye would share in this pride, were he present to witness the fruits of their labor.

Takeshi proceeded to walk around the academy grounds, admiring the traditional Japanese-style architecture and the meticulously maintained gardens. "This place is truly remarkable," he thought, acknowledging the impact of Ye's generosity. It had enabled the creation of an institution that not only taught martial arts but also provided a comprehensive education in reading, writing, math, and science.

"These children are receiving opportunities they never would have had before," Takeshi reflected, watching a group of students perform a synchronized sword dance. He was impressed by their development, seeing them acquire skills that would enable them to defend themselves and contribute positively to society.

His tour took him past older students engaged in specialized training like blacksmithing, woodworking, and calligraphy. "We aim to provide a well-rounded education, preparing them to be productive members of society," Takeshi explained to a new teacher who had recently joined their team.

Expressing her gratitude, the teacher bowed respectfully. "Thank you for this opportunity," she said.

"It's our pleasure," Takeshi responded with a smile. "We're united in our mission to help these children succeed."

A sense of pride and fulfillment enveloped Takeshi as he continued his inspection of the academy. Though they had journeyed far from the dark days of the Flesh Merchants, he knew there was still much to accomplish. Yet, with Ye's guidance and the team's unwavering dedication, Takeshi was confident in their ability to profoundly impact these children's lives.

His attention turned to three young beastmen in the dojo, each displaying their unique swordsmanship skills. Ren, a feline beastman, moved with remarkable speed and agility. Sora, a wolf beastman, demonstrated a steady, unflinching focus. Takeshi watched them closely, appreciating their dedication and progress, a living testament to the academy's success.

But it was Kiro, the fox beastman, who truly captivated Takeshi's attention. The young warrior's fiery red fur caught the light as he moved, and his eyes sparkled with a mix of intelligence and unwavering determination. He executed his swordplay with a grace and fluidity that seemed almost effortless.

Approaching Kiro, Takeshi inquired, "What drives you, Kiro? What sets you apart from the others?"

Kiro halted, sword poised, and met Takeshi's gaze. "I am driven by my duty to protect my people, to become strong enough to do so. I aspire to be a beacon of hope for my fellow beastmen, to show them that they can rise above their circumstances."

Takeshi nodded, deeply impressed by the young beastman's maturity and sense of duty. "You have a noble goal, Kiro. Continue your hard work, and you will surely achieve it."

With a respectful bow, determination shining in his eyes, Kiro responded, "Thank you, sensei. I won't let you down."

Takeshi watched with a sense of pride as Kiro resumed his training, recognizing the potential for greatness and leadership within the young beastman.

During a practice session, a new trainer from the city arrived at the academy.

The trainer from the city had a rugged appearance, marked by a square jaw and sharp, piercing blue eyes that seemed to appraise everything with a critical gaze.
His hair was a dark, peppered gray, cropped short in a no-nonsense style, suggesting a man who valued practicality over aesthetics. His build was solid and muscular, indicative of years spent in physical training, with broad shoulders that filled out his simple, yet well-fitted, training attire.
Despite his physical prowess, there was an air of arrogance about him, evident in the slight smirk that often played on his lips and the dismissive way he carried himself, especially around the beastmen students.

The guest trainer’s disdain for the beastmen students was apparent as he derisively referred to them as "stinking beastlings." Takeshi's patience was tested by the man's arrogance, but before he could intervene, Kiro, the stand-out among the students, stepped forward.

"Sir, I challenge you to a duel," Kiro declared confidently.

The trainer scoffed, underestimating Kiro. "You think you can take me on? Fine, I'll humor you."

In the training circle, Takeshi and the other students watched as Kiro met the rude man head-on.

The duel between Kiro, the young fox beastman, and the dismissive city trainer was a striking display of skill, strategy, and raw determination.

As the duel commenced, the trainer, confident in his own abilities, underestimated his opponent. He moved aggressively towards Kiro, launching a series of swift, powerful strikes. His movements were practiced and precise, a testament to his years of training. However, his arrogance was palpable, as he expected a quick and easy victory.

Kiro, on the other hand, stood calm and focused. His eyes, sharp and observant, tracked every move of his opponent. As the trainer advanced, Kiro demonstrated exceptional agility and intelligence. Rather than meeting force with force, he employed deft footwork, sidestepping the trainer’s aggressive lunges and evading attacks with grace reminiscent of a seasoned dancer.

The trainer's strikes, though fast and powerful, were met with air as Kiro maneuvered around them with an almost ethereal fluidity. The young beastman’s counterattacks were precise and calculated. He waited for the right moments, exploiting the brief openings left by the trainer's overconfident assaults. Each of Kiro's strikes was aimed not to injure severely but to disarm and disorient his adversary.

As the duel progressed, the trainer's initial smugness turned to frustration. His movements became more erratic and less calculated, his breathing heavier. Kiro, seizing the opportunity, increased the pressure with a series of quick, targeted strikes, forcing the trainer onto the defensive.

The climax of the duel came swiftly. As the trainer overextended in a desperate attempt to land a hit, Kiro executed a swift, elegant maneuver, using the trainer’s momentum against him. In a fluid motion, he disarmed the trainer, sending the sword clattering to the ground. With a final, swift move, Kiro gently tapped the trainer’s chest with the flat of his blade, signaling the end of the duel.

The trainer stood there for a moment, panting and disheveled, his arrogance replaced with a look of disbelief. Kiro, still composed, bowed respectfully to his opponent, demonstrating not only his skill in combat but his maturity and honor.

The onlooking students erupted in cheers, and Takeshi couldn't contain his smile of pride. Kiro had demonstrated exceptional bravery and skill.

Humiliated, the trainer left, and Kiro approached Takeshi with unwavering resolve. "I aspire to be a great warrior like you, Takeshi-sensei. Will you teach me?"

A wave of joy and responsibility washed over Takeshi as he nodded. "I will share all my knowledge with you, Kiro. You will become a great warrior."

Days later, Takeshi sat in the academy, contemplating a letter from Ye. The letter offered an incredible opportunity: to serve as an ambassador to the Beast State, a mission that could strengthen ties between their growing empires.

Ye's words resonated with Takeshi, humbling him with the trust bestowed upon him. "You are to serve as the ambassador to the Kingdom of the Roaring Tiger, with a student of your choosing. This is a great honor, Takeshi, and I trust you will represent us well."

Takeshi knew who his companion would be: Kiro, whose potential and skill shone brightly. The Roaring Tiger Kingdom, known for its fierce warriors, would offer an invaluable learning experience for both of them.

Rising, Takeshi felt a mix of excitement and responsibility. This was a crucial mission, and he was determined to excel, confident that with Kiro by his side, they would achieve great things.

Thus, with a renewed purpose, Takeshi began preparations for their journey to the Roaring Tiger Kingdom, eager to embrace the new adventures and challenges that awaited them.
