The Goddess of Autumn (4)

After playing for a while, I decided to return to the Temple of the Goddess. Yet on the way, I encountered Qin Jin again, who is now dressed in a moon-white silk robe trying to appear gentle.

"Young lady, today you should know the identity of this Prince," Qin Jin said while smiling.

"So what?" I raised my eyebrows and looked at him with an attitude that clearly showed he is insignificant in my eyes, and rightfully so.

He observed my expression, not offended but smiled deeper instead.

"In fact, ever since I saw you that day, I have fallen in love with you. If Miss is willing to marry me, I would treat you with sincerity and bestow you the position of a side concubine, living a lifetime full of glory and wealth.

"Oh? with stincerity? a side concubine?"

His arrogant expression, acting as though he were generously granting me a great favor was truly laughable.

Afraid that I might be dissatisfied with that position, he put on an affectionate look and said, "I don't harbour any affection towards Li Wanning. Marrying her was due to unavoidable circumstances. In my heart, there is only you, and you will always stay by my side in the future. Eventually, I will promote you to the position of my main wife."

Qin Jin appeared confident, thinking I would be moved and willingly follow him. After all, the pie he painted was big and round. It seems unrefuseable.

He reached out to take my hand, but I skillfully avoided him. He even dared to think he could marry me, really a toad want to eat swan meat.

"With your current appearance, you think you're worthy of me? I'm afraid you have thought too highly of yourself. Hearing you speak with that hypocritical and ugly face really dirty my ears," I said with with a cold face. There are plenty of male immortals in the heavens who are better looking than him. Even Ye Wenqu is more pleasing to the eyes than him.

He didn't expect my refusal and was momentarily at a loss for words. The smile on his face also froze.

By the time he regained his composure, I had already taken several steps away.

"You ungrateful wretch! You will pay for this!" Qin Jin roared angrily and cursed me.

He tried to approach me while cursing some more, so I directly slapped him using a divine palm technique to send him sprawling on the ground, unable to get back up.

"Foolish to the extreme," I said, narrowing my eyes.

He lay on the ground, glaring at me in anger.

"You actually know martial arts?"

"Noisy." I shot a glance at him, and he couldn't speak anymore.

If it weren't for the heavenly rules prohibiting immortals from killing mortals, he would have died a thousand times by now.

I detested this foolish and ridiculous mortal. However, I didn't dwell on it. After all, he could only live for a few decades, just like a mayfly, born in the morning and dead by nightfall, hardly worth mentioning.

"Miss Qiu!"

As I was walking, Ye Wenqu suddenly appeared in front of me.

"I have just finished buying some books and I didn't expect to see Miss Qiu here," he said with his eyes sparkling.

At this moment, I noticed a group of  armed black-robed men appearing behind him.

"Capture them!" one of the men said.

When persuasion fails, force is applied. This Qin Jin truly had no shame.

"Don't be afraid, Miss Qiu! I'll protect you!"

Ye Wenqu suddenly threw away the book in his hand, grabbed a random wooden stick from the wall, and stood in front of me.

Although Ye Wenqu's arms were trembling slightly , he still pretended to be calm in front of them.  This mortal was indeed interesting.

As the men in black approached, Ye Wenqu kept swinging the wooden stick in his hand.

"Stay away! Miss, please go quickly!"

Too foolish!

I knocked Ye Wenqu unconscious as to avoid inconvenience.

I moved gracefully in my silk robe, and in the blink of an eye, those men in black fell to the ground, writhing in pain. Although I couldn't kill them, I could still make them suffer. In an instant, their hostile gazes turned to fear, and they fled in panic.

I flicked off the slight dust on my cloud-patterned silk robe. It was my second favorite robe, and I couldn't let it get dirty. Otherwise, I'd have to beg the Weaver Girl to make me another one.

I stretched lazily.

Having stayed in the mortal realm for so many days, it was time to go back. The carp in the lotus pond still needed to be fed.

So, I rode the autumn wind and rain mist back to heaven while also not forgetting to bring some snacks

On the way, I passed by the Moon Palace and took several mooncakes from Chang'e. She loved making mooncakes, so much so that she often hid in the Guanghan Palace just to research how to improve them. In my opinion,Chang'e's mooncakes were the best. Every time she excitedly asked me to taste her newly made mooncakes, not only did I ate a lot but I also took some away with me. Apart from me, there was the Jade Rabbit, who was getting rounder every day. Chang'e's arms must ache after holding the rabbit for a while.

Just as I entered the Qiuwu Palace, Spring ran up to me and questioned me with a round face, "Qiu! Why did you steal my tribute fruits!"

I chuckled dryly twice. Indeed, in the mortal realm, I had eaten quite a few fruits offered by mortals in Spring's Temple.

"Didn't you go to Penglai Mountain?"

"Humph, I even brought back fruits from Penglai Mountain for you!"

Hearing this, I quickly took out all the snacks I had brought from the mortal realm and pushed them in front of Spring, saying, "Oh dear, I was wrong, Spring. These are all for you, please give me the fruits."

"Alright, alright, I forgive you then." Spring said and then she conjured a pile of fruits on the table.

I smiled, picked up a fruit and ate it. While Spring wasn't paying attention, I took back a bag of crystal cakes and quickly stuffed it into my pocket.

Winter not only possessed extraordinary beauty but she was also very skilled in craftsmanship. She could make the plum blossom pastries which are only found in the mortal realm. When Father God created her, he must have put a lot of thought into it. I thought as look at Winter, who was making plum blossom pastries. Ah, I can already smell the delicious fragrance of the plum blossom pastries.

"Winter, the plum blossom pastries you make are really delicious," I complimented her as I took a bite of the pastry.

"Only you who likes to eat these worldly things," Winter remained as aloof as ever.

At this moment, a little fairy walked into the Shuangxue Palace, knelt down in front of Winter and me and said, "Please allow this servant to descend to the mortal realm for a hundred years, Goddesses."
