Chapter 6 – Back as a waiter again.
“WAITERS, TWO GLASSES OF BEER PLEASE!!”
“BE RIGHT THERE!!”
I run into the bartender table and get two glasses of beer.
I take a plate and put those glass there.
“I’m going to deliver this to those lady”
“Sure” Said the man with a fat belly.
….
“Here, two glasses of beer.” I serve it in front of the ladies who asked the beer.
“Thank you,”
I nod and get back away. A little step away.
Well, when no orders from customer, I always stand near them waiting for their orders.
As well as…
“Do you know what? I heard She finally get a boyfriend!”
“Really?”
“Yes, I saw them walking down on the street in the plaza”
Hearing their conversation.
“A room for two”
“Sure, so which one that you want now, sir?”
I see a customer come, and ask the manager who has fat belly.
“That one” The customer pointing out the lady that I just serve.
“Alright, please pay first then…” The manager takes one of the key room.
“You will get the key,”
“Sure” Said the customer.
“Kino, please take these man to the room”
“Yes,”
….
I guide them to the third floor.
I mean them are two male customers and one female.
She was the lady that I served the beer.
“Here is the room,”
One of the customer open the door and the others flirting with the lady.
“Let’s go I can’t wait it any longer”
They come in to the room.
“Please enjoy” I can only say this, and close the door.

“Nothing weird from those two?” Ask the manager.
“Nope, just like usual” I said.
“I guess, we need to wait for a bit then” I continue.
While back to the lobby room, I stand by like usual.
It just, well you know. As a waiter, nothing to do until you get an order from the customer.
Or, cleaning up dirty table.
Well, how I ended up like this?

It’s already been 3 days since I work in here.
So, if we travel back…
It was after I, Alvern, and Zexalone tried to go after the prince’s party.
The royal knight came to the village to bring the bandit.
Then, at the same time, Pripie came to us delivering a letter.
“Please go back to the Gram Kingdom, you guys have another job to do. As for the prince, I already sent a group to look after them, I know that they go to another place after the first quest that they cleared. I will give you the summary of the mission once you back”
That was the content of the letter.
So we decided to go back and separate ourself.
I went home, Zexalone went to his company, Alvern back to his alchemist shop.
The next thing that I found was a letter in my house.
Well, that was the next mission summary.

Yes, that letter asked me to meet with the manager of this place…
“ANOTHER BEER!”
“RIGHT AWAY!”

Later when I get a break time.
I’m in a staff room with the Manager.
“Same as before, no news” I said.
“Well, what do you expect?” Said the Manager.
It’s already two days since I separated with Zexalone and Alvern and come to this place.
“I think you can call my name when nobody’s around” Said the Manager.
I do not know why he wants me to call him when no ones around. Maybe he hides himself from something? Even though I know that he is one of BC members, but I still do not know him well. So I decided to play along for now.
“Alright Noct. So what should we do? I believe that you get more detailed information from Momo” I ask.
“Hmm, as I explained to you before, we need to know how they distribute the drug.”
“I know, but what kind of drug?”
“I can’t tell you, just inform me when something weird happened in our customer or ladies”

“Can you takes care of this hotels just for a day?”

“Look, how am I suppose to agree with you if you do not even tell me anything?”
“Geez, believe me. I’m still here tomorrow. It just, please do the work for just a day”
“…” He seems very confident.

The next day, in the afternoon…
“Alright, let’s do this” said Noct.
“Okay, so what are you going to do?”
“Just you wait, I’m counting on you” He said while walking away from here.
I guess, I only need to do my work.

Two hours later,
“Hey Kino, a room for two of us!” Someone calling me.
“What? What are you doing here?”
He is Zexalone. He comes with a lady behind him. What a beautiful lady, is she his friend?
“Pay first, then I give you the room”
“Come on, why should i? Aren’t we friend?” He said.
“No, even are friend, business is still business.” I smile.
Then I whisper to him.
“I don’t have money to back you up, man”
“Ahh, kay then. Here” He is giving me the money.
“Good, here is the key, at 3rd floor”
“Okay, come on honey”
He flirt with the lady. Maybe she is his lover, wonder if they want to have fun tonight.
When he walk pass me.
“Here, my identity cards” He throw me a small paper.
The paper fall in front of me on top of the table as he walks to the stairs.
Then, I pick it up.
“Zexalone, a salesman of certain company (the utensil company)”
It just a small white paper. Nothing special about it. Just a normal identitiy card for business man.
But, when I turn over the paper.
“…”
Something is written there,
‘Big Brown P’
What?
…
I put the paper on my shirt pocket.
I don’t know what it means, but let’s see if I can find this ‘Big Brown P’
…
Several hours have passed after Zexalone came in.
“It’s pretty quiet here”
All the girls that stand by in the lobby had gone home.
I’m pretty sure it’s almost morning now, that is why I decided to walk out of the hotel to see the sky.

“So cold,” as I go out, the breeze can be felt.
I look around the street, no one outside.
“Yaaawn~”
It’s almost dawn anyway, I guess my shift will be done soon. Wonder where Noct went, he did not tell me where he was gone though.
*Tuk, tuk* (a sound from kino’s right side)
“Hmm?” I heard something…
*step…step…* (a sound of someone walking)
When I turned towards the sound.
“Who’s there?” I’m a bit panicked.
I see a person, like middle-age man.
“Hello?” I try to speak with him.
“…”
He approached me,
“H-hi?” I’m scared, what is wrong with this man?
“..hehe..”
He pulled out something…
“Isn’t that….?”
STAB~ *the sounds of the P stabs me*
“Ugh…”
As I see a lot of blood coming from where I got stabbed.
I feel dizzy, my heart is beating so fast as I slowly lost my consciousness.
*BRUKK~* (A sound of me fall down)
