Arisia

"You want seconds, Arisia?" Franz stared at my clean and shiny plate. Not an ounce of sauce was spared.

I hesitated for a second before nodding. I mean, I haven't eaten such a fancy meal for years1Father cooks fancy dishes on my birthdays.. But ever since I have gotten aboard this ship, fancy and delicious meals got served one after another whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

The taste was superb. Whoever the chef was, I want to thank them with a big hug.

A server holding a newly made meal served it in front of me and I couldn't help but lick my lips.

With a fork, I stabbed the well-roasted golden Mikaru chicken2A breed of chicken raised with magical and nutritional feeds. Costly. Very Costly. Only wealthy merchants and nobles can afford it.

I can only sigh at the buttery and fragrant taste of the chicken. It was so soft to chew.

I busied myself savoring the chicken, forgetting to keep my image in check.

When I ate the last piece of chicken, I suddenly realized that it was too quiet. Too quiet for my comfort.

My eyes slowly looked up, cheeks heating up from three pairs of eyes intently staring at me.

"Her appetite is like Alexis," Rowen murmured and I closed my eyes in embarrassment.

Well... Having seconds is not the problem. The problem is that no matter how I slowly savored the taste, my chewing was faster.

This is why I don't like eating with these three.

"Well. Now that Arisia has finished eating, we should go to my office." Ashid clapped his hand, his colorful eyes glimmered while looking at me.

This somewhat feels ominous.

Franz and Rowen nodded and stood up, and I did as well.

I was going to send them off to the door and go my way but Ashid's stare was too... pointed.

Am I supposed to follow them?  I nonchalantly thought.

These three would go to their own offices after eating and I would be left to go to my room, and that was the usual routine here.

Noticing that Ashid didn't follow them, Franz and Rowen looked back. Seeing Ashid staring at me, they turned to...stare at me too.

Oh, I am supposed to follow. Now, this is a first.

My mouth twitched and I slowly followed behind. Seeing Ashid's satisfied look, I thought of the plausible things on why they would require my presence today when on other days, they do not. (They only meet me in breakfast, lunch, and dinner.)

Mr. Varyll appeared behind me the moment I departed for Ashid's office.

Maybe because his bosses were in front but the vampire didn't release any pheromones to harass me today, which is a relief, to be honest.

The walk wasn't long before we appeared in front of a cute embellished door.

I can't help but think Ashid is really a fairy. Even his office door looks cute.

Ashid opened his door and my eyes couldn't help but narrow from too much reflected light coming from the clear surfaces of the ornaments in the room.

Why are there so many silver decorations here? Is Ashid's obsession, silver?

I did hear from Father that Fairies have a certain fixation, whether it's other races, animals, or things. There are even others who are obsessed with certain scents if I remember right.

I was forcefully sat on the couch by Rowen, who sat on my left.

On the table in front of me was a small square box. Even without intentionally sensing it, I can feel the mana being circulated in it.

It has carefully carved inscriptions on it. Quite like the one carved on the walls of the ship.

Ashid, who was sitting on my right, tapped the top of the device for 10 seconds before a wave of magic washed all over the room.

My instincts were alarmed and I almost stood up in an attempt to attack but Franz's3Who was standing just behind the couch. hand kept me sitting with his hand on my shoulders.

The cute and over-the-top shiny room turned into a dignified office.

And now in front of me was a desk with tall paperwork on both sides. The handsome middle-aged man sitting behind the desk was...staring at me.

Just how many people are going to stare into my soul today?

I wondered, thinking as I cluelessly blinked my eyes.
