"It's been 2 weeks since the funeral and we finally get to see her will" The atmosphere was thick the silence unnerving the 4 gathering in that cramped couch waiting for the lawyer to arrive."knowing my luck my father had her change the will" being the middle child and the only girl among a house of boys it wasnt easy "aww im missin the game for this"a male with a buzz cut frowned "my younger brother keith "dont worry kiddo we got big news ahead of us" the larger male smiled just as my dad was gonna explain the lawyer came in "hello David and kids" the rather twink-ish man entered the room  "my condolences for you all now to the matter of her will ive read it through and i will call you here accordingly".

Me and my brothers rise from the couch "ahem" to my oldest i leave the house under your care" i watch mark yes silently full of glee "to my youngest son i leave my fortune" Keith simple giggled "im rich" he shouted  "and finally to my darling girl" I felt a bit of hope maybe ma did leave somthing for me after all "i entrust you with my most prized possesion my fox charm" I relunctanly took the necklace from its box "this is what my mother left me...." sitting back onto the couch in disbelief is this really it this is that my mother had left for me not the house or some money just her necklace 

"Since im rich lets go out and eat like kings" Keith shouted shoving me aside both dad and mark all whooped and pat one another not even looking back at me once "typical" i thought "Psst-" i turn to see the lawyer "their is one more thing i couldnt give you this in front of your father it was your mothers request" passing me a faded envelope "here she wrote this before she passed" placing my newely aquired gifts into my pocket I left the lawyers office."to think my mother didnt love me  i always knew my family would have been better off without me"

Driving through the rain always sort of made the intrusive thoughts go away. slowly unhooking my seat belt and pulling my house keys out of my jacket and getting back to my little studio apartment "im home " hearing the echo of my voice through the empty building "sigh" throwing my jacket on the couch and follwing after face first taking the necklace and note out "well i guess its somthing " unclasping the pendant adn draping it over my tomboyish collar bone " cold" i mutter as i fiddle withthe fox charm opening the note witha heavy sigh
