The cat did not jump at the sudden appearance of her servant; slowly leaning forward to have her elbows rest upon the desk. Supporting her chin upon interlocking fingers as her eyes studied the bird who, in response, couldn’t help straighten up a little. That merely made the corners of Cheshire’s eyes quirk up in amusement as soon a light hearted laugh left her cracked lips.

“Now, now, there is no need to be so panicked. There exists no such thing as a “problem” in my mind - all situations can become an opportunity if you approach them with the right mindset. I have practically raised you from a hatchling so you are still inexperienced but such matters will help you build a sturdy character which can overcome anything. How about you share with me this “problem” so we can find a pragmatic way to utilise it?” <Cheshire Prime>

Hearing that allowed for the red legged bird to take a deep breath, effectively calming herself for the moment, allowing the comfortable presence of her master to influence her.

“Within the South Eastern quadrant a bunch of earth drakes have been causing upheaval due to seeing the water dragons as being below them yet having far more. They also accuse those water dragons of lying about Gaia - saying she was most definitely closer to them than any other race. Other species have even rallied around that allowing for them to quickly gain power.” <Seriema>

“Oh my~ that is a problem~.” <Cheshire Prime>

With that she sent the poor creature back into a frantic state once more - spreading her arms out as she began to walk in circles like a lost chick. Her sadistic boss just leaned in on her right hand while the other circled her desk playfully. Clearly taking great pleasure in bullying the poor little thing.

Obviously she was already formulating many theories and formulas on how to get over this little road bump they had been experiencing. One may question why it would matter if some random dusty lizards got some attention for their crazed ranting and raving. In fact, at any other time, none of the cat’s people would even blink an eye as religion had no part to play for them.

Religious leaders were often the first to come to them, in fact.

However it became a problem due to the time they chose to act up; almost too perfectly as it was now time that they unite the races against the old guard. If suddenly a large portion of the population instead enters a war over the nature of a now dead god… That would obviously mean less people to fight for her own causes.

<Could this be some misguided revenge from that dangerous metal noodle…? No, it shouldn’t be, they’re naive but they hardly are stupid enough to maim a movement which can help them get closer to their goals. Though there is the question of whether they have the same noble goals after what I showed them… It could potentially be dangerous to get involved in this without knowing all the details.>

“But when has anything not been dangerous for me nyahaha~.” <Cheshire Prime>

Not even bothering to quietly mumble to herself as that laugh at least caused poor Seriema to calm down a little (if due to confusion) while Cheshire quickly got to work. Quickly sending out requests to her world spanning murder & conspiracy network. Ordering the convus’ to work in gathering as much as they could about the hands puppeteering those dense dragons.

“Those rock gobblers are too thick scaled to plan out anything let alone build up such a massive following in such a short amount of time. At the same time I can’t imagine them even listening to another race who aren’t also draconic and at least equal to them in bloodline power. Perhaps blue feathers set this in motion but the prison escape of the phoenix girl caused him to leave?” <Cheshire Prime>

Leaning back again she began to stroke her chin with narrowed eyes.

By now the bird had stopped panicking in favour of looking at Cheshire with bright eyes; obviously impressed with the stubby felines’ ability to break down the situation. Plus she could not really refute any of the judgements made. As such she simply stood there while waiting for the woman to finish.

“Looking at it objectively he likely felt something was up with the sudden outbreaks of disaster after disaster and that most definitely wasn’t helped by me dropping a bomb on his home… It was worth it to see the arrogant whelps learn fear.  Probably came up with this in order to keep the masses busy with a conflict that obviously would have no actual influence on him; he likely had Gaia on the brain since he only just worked with hot-flash to put her under hence decided to use her.” <Cheshire Prime>

Closing her eyes as she once again went over all facets of the plot she had generated on the spot in order to ensure she wasn’t integrating any obvious fallacies yet came up with a large one.

“Why would he set it into motion now?” <Cheshire Prime>

Kicking off the floor in order to cause her to spin around on her chair - making it so the awaiting Seriema could no longer see her face - causing the bird to grow tense once more. Her tension soon broke into relief as (once the cat had appeared in view again) those eyes contained that iconic grin. Not needing to see under the mask to know her expression.

“He didn’t set it into motion.” <Cheshire Prime>

“W-what?” <Seriema>

That well and truly confused cariamae and thankfully the cat wasn’t shy about sharing her thoughts.

Hopping up from her chair which in turn caused her chair to slide backwards; not that she cared since she began to walk back to the building with the bird quick to follow. Raising a pointer finger she wagged it in the air like a tutor giving a presentation. Telling the brats to listen up as they explain the basics.

“Dragons are unique in that they hate each other but hate everyone else more; their arrogance practically leads them to simultaneously look down on other dragons but also trust them more than they should. In this case Azure Dragon had this little scheme so obviously decided to “enlighten” the drakes who obviously ate it up like some disgusting masticating creature. Remember only beggars eat food.

Anyway, the drakes ate up the right to proclaim themselves as the purest descendents of the mighty mother and likely have claimed their eldest woman as the new one. An act they would only do if they knew that the previous mother was already dead along with her successor. Information that was only possessed by those who were at the scene of the crime…” <Cheshire Prime>

“But… The girl wasn’t dead so-” <Seriema>

“EXACTLY NYAHAHAHA!” <Cheshire Prime>

Seriema understandably jumped back as Cheshire continued walking into her little lab where she began opening a shelf which held many syringes.

“That meant it could only be someone who had information about the attack yet not the survival which instantly cuts out any moles. Only Azure truly believed that he & the primordial god of fire had erased poor little Alice; therefore there were only benefits to having the drake matriarch label herself. Sadly for him the little piece he was keeping against Vermillion's successor managed to escape causing him to have to act as a war with the phoenix is the worst case situation… That left the drakes who believed they were in control and believing they had no reason to wait around to build up numbers-” <Cheshire Prime>

“So the drakes took charge and preemptively revealed themselves!” <Seriema>

“Chehehehihihi~ exactly, see, I knew you were smart~!” <Cheshire Prime>

Although watching the cat brought up another question.

“Then… What are you doing?” <Seriema>

Usually one of the mighty bird of prey wouldn’t be so forward in seeking answers from their master however it wasn’t as if Cheshire ever minded curiosity. She simply wasn’t the type of person to step away from the unknown so why chastise others for doing the exact same? It was only respect that held them back from questioning her.

“Hm~? I’m preparing to go visit the south eastern quadrant~!” <Cheshire Prime>

“Wh- won’t it be dangerous?” <Seriema>

“Well now is actually the perfect chance to strike as that blue bastard will no doubt try to figure out how to deal with our little salamander; he’s not smart but lucky. There is no way he’ll rush back to the drakes as he now sees it as a lost cause rather than put in the effort to pivot towards the new goal. Before he has a chance, or a competent enough advisor, it’d be best to strike~!” <Cheshire Prime>

“Then… Why send out the crows & ravens?” <Seriema>

Cheshire just shrugged as she used her arm to literally scrape the various stored drugs into her shadow.

“Give the kids something to do; now… Let’s teach an old lizard a new lesson~” <Cheshire Prime>
