I started by invoking both my Body-Enhancement Magic as well as Acceleration Magic and my stat buffs.

[Notice: The SSS-Rank Skill <Hero> and its "10x All Status Buff Effect" have been activated.]

Alright... With that in mind, I started attacking Mama Clara using my wakizashi from my left hand to parry with the ironwood sword that she has to propel me in the air in a front flip. I initiated my <Thought Acceleration> as well to try and keep up with Mama Clara's movements.

"Fast...!"

"Acceleration Magic?!" Auntie Clara reacted as she went to parry my attack by deflecting it upward as expected.

Mama Diana is actually right about what she observed me doing earlier. My speed's probably around the same degree as a normal swordsman. With the addition of Thought Acceleration, I would have more than the optimal reaction speed that my body can respond to.

But I knew that something like that is not enough to Level 100+ monsters like Papa Edmund and Auntie Clara.

Immediately after that, I tried to do a high-speed approach from behind her as I used my wakizashi to go for the slash on the back of her chest but before I reached her, she jumped and did a backward somersault jump from a single leg and immediately tried for a slash kill over my head.

"Got you!"

"Scheiße!" I immediately used my Uchiganata on my right hand to deflect the incoming slash as I immediately twisted my body to a 180-degree after gaining a little bit of distance away from her.

Auntie Clara... no... Clara Meire Schultz, my adoptive mother... She really is the embodiment of the "Lily Rose". She's as dangerous as a rose when underestimating her.

"How in the world can you move like that, Emi-chan?

You totally just used both Body-Strengthening and Acceleration Magic just now..." She reacted in disbelief as I panted a little but before answering.

"Y-Yes, Mother... I did use those skills... Otherwise, I can't react to your level."

"Oya? Is that so...? I guess you won't regret it if I also used mine, right...?" "H-Hyihhhh?!?!" I reacted in fear as I can see Auntie Clara conjuring that aura of an Oni behind herself as she went into offense while I was unprepared for.

At the end of the day, I couldn't win against her, nor would I have been able to last against her within 10 seconds.

And my entire body's just sore at that point, but it's only the start of a grueling 6-month daily training with Auntie Clara.

...

Within the course of 6 months of mixed training in both swords and magic, as well as the etiquette involved for those who want to become an adventurer and the grueling training on killing living things...

Auntie Clara then invited me to a forest-hunting session that was usually done by the city's boar hunters, but she said that I need to register to the Adventurer's Guild first before having to go to the Hunters' HQ inside the city.

She also said that "the two of us will meet someone that she knew and register" there at the guild.

"Are you ready for your first excursion? You have everything you need to bring, Emi-chan?"

"Yes, Mom... I already have everything with me in my Item Box."

"Alright... Let's meet with your and others."

"Yes."

When the two of us were ready to leave, I immediately transformed myself into my adventurer's outfit along with the adult form that I have using my Optical Concealment Magic, Information Concealment Magic, and Magic Power Operation to appear, sound, and feel like an actual adult.

The two of us went our way towards the main mansion where Papa Edmund, Mama Diana, Clarence, and a navy blue-haired woman who has quite a huge build, wearing a huge silver-like armor, and has a giant shield beside her seat were seated inside the reception room.

"Sophia?"

"Ara, Clara-san. Long time, no see. Is that Emi-chan?"

"Y-Yeah... She is."

"Why does she look like your little sister than an actual child...?"

As the person named Sophia-san asked that question, Mama Clara looked at me as if she wanted me to answer that question instead of her answering it. Though to be honest, I have no choice but to go and reveal my child form now. So I snapped my fingers to turn back to normal.

As if the sound of shattered glass were made, my concealment magic came undone from a flash of light, and my true form was of a child wearing a horseback riding outfit tailored for a kid like me which baffled Sophia.

"Holy Anastasia! How old are you again, Emi-chan?"

"I'm six years old."

"Wow... Diana, is she really your child?! She acts like an adult already."

"Well... No matter how you looked at it, she's my eldest of my children after all."

After Mama Diana replied to her question with an answer, Sophia-san let out a quite long but exasperated sigh along with her expression as I snapped back once again and turn myself back into my adult form.

" The world really is big, wow... and at the same time, small too... So she's going to be the one that I'm assigned to protect, huh?"

"Protect? What does that mean, Mother?"

As I asked that after her remark, Sophia-san stood up and approached me as she gave me her right hand as if it was meant to shake it with mine.

"I'm Sophia Amelie. I'm a Shield-Bearer. Nice to meet you. I'm assigned by Diana to protect you."

"I'm Emilia von Celestia, a Magic Swordsman. It's nice to finally meet the Mithril Fortress in front of me. I may be new to this, but I'll be relying on you a lot of times..." I reached out to her right hand using my right hand to shake hands with each other.

After that, things moved really fast from that point on. Auntie Clara, Sophia-san, and I left the mansion to firstly register at the Adventurer's Guild within the city.

It usually has tropes inside many fantasy animes and isekai light novels where the Adventurer's Guild is a place full of rowdy individuals that exercises a lot of freedom.

But the preconceived notions about it were wrong as the guild itself wasn't a monolithic organization that was outside the bounds of many nations. It instead has different Adventurer Guilds for different countries, and it also has different rules and regulations per country itself.

The etiquette of being an adventurer is different in each country as well, and it is vital to adhere to the host country's laws, and regulations. So there shouldn't be any prideful adventurers who would just attack or belittle someone out of nowhere.

It's pretty realistic of a setup here than what has been usually portrayed in anime.

After walking for a little while, the three of us arrived at the Adventurer's Guild which is currently bustling with a lot of people.

"Eh? Isn't that...?"

"It's the two of them...!"

"Shhh! Don't be loud!"

"Oh? It's the Lily Rose and the Mithril Fortress. It's rare seeing the two of them together."

The folks within the lobby of the Adventurer's Guild quickly became silent when the three of us entered the Guild's premises.

I just shrugged off their whispers and rumors for now as the three of us went to the Adventurer's Guild's reception counter where a lavender-haired maiden that's wearing the typical fantasy office wear.

A typical long-sleeved white shirt worn under a violet vest that was buttoned and laced with gold buttons and gold-colored laces for form-fitting with a black inner layer behind to show the collar. I can see from the other reception guild staff members that were behind her that they were either wearing a long black skirt or black jeans as their bottom garment.

"Good morning, Clara-san, and Sophia-san. What can I do for you today? Are you up for a request?" The receptionist asked Auntie Clara in a polite tone.

"That one? Not really, Amelia-san... I'm just here to recommend... err... my daughter, that's all..." Auntie Clara, on the other hand, replied while thinking twice on what she should be addressing me as.

"I see, your daughte—wait a minute!" The receptionist, Amelia-san, looked at me before she became surprised at what she has said.

"Yes?" After Auntie Clara reacted to the receptionist named Amelia-san's reaction, it seems that Amelia-san's formal way of speaking disintegrated in just a few hits after knowing that Auntie Clara has me...

But what was quite an annoying trope, that seemed to be staying true to its mark, is the fact that the adventurers around us got their attention on us three because of how Amelia-san reacted to us, which prompted the start of some whispers around us. Meanwhile...

"Could it be that the person you're with...?" Amelia-san asked as she looked at me again with a curious look on her face.

"Yeah... That's my daughter, Emi. She'll be having her live training today to become an adventurer, so I was hoping that we could get a quick registration for her so that she could go out of the city with the boar hunters with us." Auntie Clara replied with a smile.

"C-Certainly! I'll g-get all of the necessary steps ready, please excuse me for a moment!" Amelia-san said as she quickly went off from her counter as she would probably go to the staff room of some sorts in order to get all the stuff related to the registration ready.

After a few moments, Amelia-san came out from the back while carrying two papers, a blank card-like object, and a crystal ball on a stand. I think it's probably related to the registration, so I'll just prepare myself.

"Clara-san, here's the registration for Emi-san. After that, she needs to be appraised for that." She explained.

"Emi-chan, you should fill that out." Auntie Clara said to me.

"Yes, Mama." I responded.

As with the usual procedures, I filled out some of my important information. When I was done with that, I gave Amelia-san the registration paper and before she reacted to what she read, Auntie Clara immediately had her face near Amelia-san and responded with a whisperly tone.

"That's right. I can vouch for the fact that Emi-chan is a prodigy that can last around more than 3 minutes against me in a full-on fight...

I'll have you know that I also have the Duke's approval over this matter, so don't ever let anyone aside from the Guildmaster know anything about her or her age, alright?" Auntie Clara said to Amelia-san with a subtle hint of authority from her voice.

Hold on for a moment, did I just hear something Auntie Clara blatantly threatening the receptionist with her authority as an S-Rank?!?!

"C-Certainly, C-Clara-san..." The poor receptionist replied in defeat.

After that, I was then appraised by the receptionist...

Athough my results from the crystal ball which acted as a status checker were still outrageous that Amelia-san almost screamed from surprise, she quickly covered her mouth as I peeked over at my status.

[collapse]

Well... It was quite a stretch, but with the training alone, I racked up experience points like crazy. Especially with what the notification always says.

But for now, it was decided that I was more than eligible to become an adventurer as she gave me what seemed to be a guild card which dictated my name, my age being ???, and all of the sorts of things scribbled there.

And at the left side of the card, the rank that someone has as an adventurer is listed there too... And my rank...?

"Rank C, huh...?"

"Right...? I did say that when you're now around Rank C Adventurer, you'll be good to go towards trying out an adventure yourself... The live hunting one, that is..."

"Yes..."

"We should get going now, Sophia, Emi-chan."

After that conversation, the three of us quickly left the Adventurer's Guild to be on our way to the Hunters' HQ within the city.

...

??? POV

"Is that so...? Thank you for reporting this, Amelia-san."

"I'll be taking my leave now, Branch Manager."

"Alright, you can go."

After Amelia reported to me, I quickly stood up and looked up at the view of the city from the window beside me.

Prior to Clara's personal recommendation for a new adventurer earlier, it absolutely matches with the order that I have from the Duke of Celestia about his request to keep an adventurer named Emi Meire Schultz's identity to be intact and under strict confidentiality.

I quickly pulled up the letter from my Item Box as I looked over at the wax seal that it has...

The wax seal of not just the Celestia Duchy's, but also a stamp of approval from Princess Diana herself who is a ruling Crown Princess and the current successor to her elder sister, Her Majesty, Queen Elena.

Setting all of this stuff up just to hide an adventurer, let alone someone that's a child of Clara Meire Schultz is something really suspicious.

"Rank-C Adventurer, Miss Emi Meire Schultz... You're an enigmatic character.

Show me what you can do."
