After that talk, the four of us planned out the future actions that should be done. And we surely took our sweet time planning all of it throughout the night.

As morning passed, I woke up with a pillow and a blanket as I remembered myself being too tired from all the talk that happened last night that I accidentally slept on the couch inside Mama Diana's study room. 

"Oh, you're up? Good morning, Emi-chan. How's sleep?" I heard Mama Diana as I turned around to see her working through paperwork alone. 

"You're alone...? Where's Auntie Clara and Dad?" I asked as I looked around the room. 

"Your Auntie Clara's checking up on the kitchen. Your Dad's at the backyard for his morning sword swings." Mama Diana smiled as she sighed for a bit and added. 

"Emi-chan, can you come here for a moment?" She asked with a concerned look on her face.

"What is it, Mama?" I asked as I got up from the couch and went beside her seat near the table. 

Out of nowhere, Mama Diana hugged me as I asked in confusion.

"M-Mama? W-What's wrong?" 

"Shhhh... Let me stay like this for a moment..." 

She shushed at me as I chuckled for a little before sighing in relief as I returned her hug with a smile on my face. 

After hugging each other for a while, I can hear Mama Diana sighing in relief as she lets go of our hug. 

"Now that's better..." She chuckled lightly. 

"Indeed, it does." I also chuckled lightly as she then rummaged over the paperwork that she has on her desk. 

When she finally got something, she pulled a folded paper from the stack and gave it to me as if she was showing me something. 

"What's this, Mama?" I asked curiously as I felt something hard in between the fold of the paper. 

"Look at it, dear." She smiled as I started unfolding the paper with a written statement on the top half of the paper while a card-like object is somewhat glued to the bottom half of the paper.

"Emilia-chan, have your mana absorb that mithril card. It'll register you as its owner.

I've helped pull in some strings for you to get this quickly, and I'm sure that you'll need those for your upcoming ideas, as well as when you start your journey as an adventurer in the future.

After all, demon-hunting as a Hero will be a very expensive job." Mama Diana smiled as I heeded her advise and started having my mana passively absorbed by the mithril card.

Suddenly, the card glows with the shade of gray for a moment as it coated the entire card. It then created a magic circle that appears from the card and a voice came out.

"Mana signature has been registered. Welcome to the Commerce Banking System, Miss Celestia.

Supply mana to this card with the intent of banking with us will let you connect to the nearest bank in your vicinity through a voice transmission.

That's all for now. Thank you for banking with us, dear customer." a monotonic woman's voice was heard from within the card as the gray aura around the card disappearing for a few moments until it's no more.

'Holy shit, this is literally a debit card... but with magic?!' I exclaimed in my thoughts. 

The implications as to how advance these things are just mind blowing to me. 

"Do you like it, Emilia-chan?" Mama Diana asked with a smile on my face as I nodded happily.

"Yes, Mama. This will be helpful in many ways." I said as I looked at the mithril card that's now on my hand, separated from the paper that was holding it, a few moments ago. 

"That's good to know. By this time around, everyone within the mansion would be notified that you've become Edmund and my disciple.

You won't be bound with any duties, but you have the responsibility to learn the basics of becoming an adventurer." Mama Diana said, which was quite a news to me.

 

They must've discussed this while I slept through the night...

"I understand, Mama..."

"I hope that your Dad and I would be able to catch up for the years of attention that we haven't given to you, Emilia-chan." Mama Diana said with a melancholic look on her face as I sighed in exasperation and said to her. 

"You've given me plenty already, Mama. But I don't mind getting more from you two, today onwards." I chuckled as the two of us heard a door opening. 

When I looked around, it was Auntie Clara who's opening the door. 

"Oya? You're awake already? That's perfect. Madam, your breakfast meal's ready now." Auntie Clara said with a casual tone as Mama stood up from her chair and asked me. 

"Wanna follow Mama to the dining room? It's time for you to meet your little brother officially ." She asked me with a smile.

Since I wore my casual clothes which was the norm during the Victorian era, it won't be out of place for me to actually go with Mama Diana in this one although she won't mind it most of the time. 

"Yes, Mama. Let's go." I said as the Mama Diana and I followed Auntie Clara to the dining room when we see Dad and Clarence who was still very sleepy while sitting on his chair.

"Still sleepy, my son?" Mama Diana asked Clarence, who immediately wakes up from our mother's voice.

"Mama, Emi-oneesama, you two are here!" Clarence excitedly said as Dad chuckles lightly as he added. 

"Yes, this little guy's too excited when I said to him that we're all gonna eat together this morning." Dad said as I smiled happily as I approached Clarence and asked him.

"Hey Clarence, do you want your Emi-oneesama to sit beside you?" I asked him with a smile on my face. 

"You can?!" He asked with an excited expression on his face. 

"Every day, if you want to. It's for my little brother, after all." I said after chuckling. 

His expression changed into a shock as he innocently asked a question. 

"But I call Emi-oneesama 'Emi-oneesama' because she's always here in the house though. Is Clarence Emi-oneesama's little brother?" He asked curiously. 

"Not in the past, but your Emi-oneesama's little brother from today onwards." I was shocked at his question at first before smiling to affirm the answer that I said to him. 

"Come on now, you two. Let's eat now or these dishes will get cold." Mama Diana said with a smile on her face as my little brother and I went to our seats. 

This... This is something that I want, for now.
