"So, what's the plan?" asked the girl.
"I'm not sure" said the soldier.
"But I know we need to get out of here" said the girl
"How?" asked the boy.
"There's no way out" said Jake
"There has to be a way" said the soldier.
"What about the window?" asked the girl.
"It's too high" said the boy.
"Not if we can find something like a rope” said the girl.
"That's a good idea" said the soldier.
They start looking around the room for something that can be used as a rope.
Jake finds an old curtain, and they tear it up into strips.
"I think this will work" said the girl.
“Hope this diy rope can bear you all” said Jake
They tie the strips together to make a rope.
"All right, let's go" said the soldier.
"Hold on a minute" said the boy.
"You guys are coming too right" said the girl
"Thanks but no " said the boy.
"I'm not sure if the rope will support us both"
"I can't leave you here" said the girl
"Yes you can" said the boy.
"Now, go!"
“Maybe being the lightest I should”
“Let the lass go first” interrupted the soldier
“But if the rope breaks….oh well” murmured Jake in a weak protest
"He’s right what about you guys" asked the girl
"We'll be fine" said the boy.
"Now go!" Said the soldier
The girl started climbing down the rope, and the boy and soldier followed her.
“Why is the lightest at the lasts” Jake protested but followed them down
They make it to the ground safely and run into the forest.
They hid behind a tree and watched as the soldiers entered the building and began searching for them.
"They're not going to find us" whispered the boy.
"But they will find the rope" said the soldier.
"And then they'll know we're still alive"
"We have to get rid of it"
"How?"
"We could burn it"
"I don't know how"
"I have an idea" said Jake
"What?"
"Do you have a lighter or something?"
"Yes" said the soldier.
He handed the lighter to Jake, and he lit the rope on fire.
“You dumbass won’t the smoke give us away” exclaimed the girl
“RUN” said the soldier
They ran through the forest, trying to put as much distance between themselves and the soldiers.
After a while, they stopped to catch their breath.
"I think we lost them" said the soldier.
"Thank god" said the boy.
"Yeah" said the girl.
They were standing next to a stream, and Jake looked down at the water.
He saw a reflection in the water.
It was the alien.
He was looking straight at Jake.
Jake tried to scream, but the alien reached out and touched him.
Jake fell unconscious, and the last thing he heard was the alien saying "Welcome home, human"
Jake the boy with thin and gloomy face wakes up in a hospital bed
"You are one lucky bastard" said the doctor
"Wh-what happened?" asked Jake
"You were attacked by an alien" said the doctor.
"But you're going to be fine"
"I was attacked by an alien?"
"Yes"
"What about the girl and boy I was with"
"They're fine too"
"Thank god"
"Yeah"
"I'm gonna need you to fill out some paperwork"
"Okay"
"And then you can go home"
"Great"
"You must have been through a lot"
"Yeah, I guess"
"Well, you're safe now"
"Thanks"
Jake fills out the paperwork and is discharged from the hospital.
He walks outside and sees a man waiting for him.
"Hello, Jake"
"Do I know you?"
"Not yet, but you will"
"What do you mean?"
"I'll explain later"
"Where are you taking me?"
"To meet the seven representatives of the UDF”
"Why?"
"You'll see"
"I don't understand"
"Don't worry, you will"
"I just hope my mom is okay"
"She looks too young to be your mom but she’s fine"
"How do you know?"
"Because I'm the one who saved her"
"You did?"
"Yes"
"But how?"
"That's a story for another time"
"For now, you just need to focus on your training"
“Training?” asked Jake
"Training for what?"
"You'll see"
"Will my friends be okay?"
"Yes"
"Promise?"
"I promise"
"Okay"
Jake gets into the car with the mysterious man and drives off into the sunset.
