Although there was a rebellion in Bavaria that seemed more like a civil war life in Munich went on as normal in fact it was better now than ever before. With rapid industrialization came a few problems for example labor unions were forming and the no sewage system in place for the migrants or the people originally here. which would result in me building a massive and expensive sewer system would account for a few more years of migration to Munich as it was the main point of industrialization. as for housing of the migrants that was actually handled effectively by the private sector which built homes and sold them for profit and for those who couldn't afford the banks would offer something called a Volk bond which was essentially a mortgage. Except for a couple of restrictions and controls I mostly let the private sector handle the economy as it didn't really make sense for me to take control of the economy when it is running smoothly. and as for the trade unions I implemented the Bavarian wage act which basically just forced businesses to make their employees wages public. while this was seen as a response that was not good enough by the trade unions the average wage in Munich jumped as most people went to jobs that paid more and businesses started offering competitive wages. of course I made sure factories had good safety regulations. finally education was handled by a former priest named father Engel who was more than happy start teaching people to read and write especially after hearing how much I would pay him. It would seem that had created an entirely new culture that was fixated on money in Munich and a few surrounding mining towns. all of what I was seeing felt incredible as everything was happening much faster than I expected.

One morning I decided leave my palace walls disguised as a beggar to see what the people thought of me as Munich was now a Metropolis after an explosion in population from both migration and a baby boom now had a population of around 150,000 becoming one of the largest city in Europe. so I was sure no one would recognize me. walking the streets of Munich was lively even dressed as a beggar some business men would even offer me jobs that seemed to pay fairly well. I would do this a few more times until I was caught out late at night.

____________

the moon was out in full this February night ant the stars in the sky looked so massive. I was enjoying my late night walk until I heard some loud bangs from the alley behind me. I stopped for a second to peer over my shoulder and five men walked out. I tried to walk away when one of the men saw me.

"Hey there, got any change on you?" One of the men asked "that we can relieve you from?"

When I heard the man say that I walked away a putting a little bit quicker

"HEY!!" He called out "WE JUST WANT TO MAKE YOUR POCKETS LIGHTER."

I went from walking to running down the streets. Munich was overall a well planned city but the center area was filled with weird corridors and looked like a sprawling mess. I ran down a couple streets turning several times before I found a building that was lit from the inside. I ran through the door and I walked into a bunch of stares from a bunch of well dressed men. The men were wearing the uniforms of the Wehrmacht officers which was based off of the Waffen SS. a man who seemed like a bar tender walked up to me.

"What is your rank?" He asked politely

"I have no rank." the man then shook his head and said "I am afraid you have to leave now boy. This is an officers club only officers in the Wehrmacht."

A man from across to the room then said out loud "That man is prince Erwin." as he was entering the room walking toward me and the barkeeper.

The barkeep looked at the officer who was close enough for me to see his rank he is a major. walking ever closer he bowed slightly. "Major Wilhelm Von Klein at your service."

I ended spending the night at the officers club and getting to know my officers and who they were. as well as what they thought of me because to some I was the very picture and reason of freedom for them others saw me as a tyrant over reaching my powers. Comments on my clothes aside I did learn what they thought of my ruling style.

"your highness you don't mind me saying, but you aren't using your power enough you are too soft." a lieutenant Colonel stated

"The man is correct, you have an army to enforce your will and everyone willing to speak against you is raising an army." A captain points out

they seem to be mostly of the same mindset with some variations in between but after all was said and done we mostly just drank played cards and billiards and even brought in some prostitutes later that night and it was this night that I lost my virginity albeit drunk on fine wine and mead.
