This Chapter is on the longer side for me but it is the most critical chapter to the plot so please read it carefully

[collapse]

The Ottoman sultan came out of Constantinople under a white flag riding towards my camp on his horse. Seeing the sultan myself filled me with an absolute rage remembering his 'Gift' from a few months ago.

"I want to see the German King." the Sultan Mehmed announced his interpreter then translated what he said into German but I somehow understood what he said.

"I am right here." walking towards him in between lines of Wehrmacht and Austrian soldiers

"Let's talk shall we." the sultan said waving off his translator seemingly able to understand my language as well

"No more should die in this war." I stated

the sultan raises an eyebrow at hearing what I said

"Well than what do you propose we fuck this out."

A bit annoyed at what he said I decided to veer off course of my original plan which was to get him to surrender the city somehow.

'Now that I think about it my original plan was shit.'

"I propose a duel between us no armor and who ever wins this duel wins the war."

_________

'what the hell is this boy saying when he is clearly dominating the war... well I guess I have a shot of winning this war after all but even then I won't be able to hold on to anything in Europe or Anatolia as my army is in shambles. I thought I was the only one reincarnated in this world but seeing this boy and his army which seemed to be carrying Winchesters and wearing modern uniforms I can clearly see that he was also reincarnated but at a later time as he seems to still be a teenager while I am 25. I am not sure if he realizes this as well. He most likely does but for some reason not addressing it'

"I am waiting for your response sultan." I heard the young king say angrily

"I accept with swords." I said as "to the death or--"

"to first blood" He interrupted me "no use in either of us dying is there."

I nodded as a man from his army handed him a sword and took off the armor he was wearing

"King Erwin here is your sword" the man said to him

it was then that I realized he was the boy who I gave the head to.

'Why has this man not killed me on the spot? He has every single reason to and if he is afraid of what people in the future will say about him even then they wouldn't blame him. Although if white supremacy becomes a thing in this world he would THE figurehead of it after all he caused many technological innovations and drove out foreigners from Europe.'

"Tomorrow at noon we will commence our duel." the young man said to me.

I nodded and we shook hands before I left.

____________

'Why didn't I kill him I had every chance and opportunity in the world. No, if I were to have killed that wouldn't have done anything and I would be forced to fight the ottomans inside Constantinople'

I looked down at the falling sun in the sky surrounded by a beautiful and surreal light that wasn't your usual orangey color this was a bright purple with the the sun itself being a bright white color and I wasn't the only one who noticed as there was a massive commotion in my camps about this from the soldiers who are still awake most were confused or frightened those that weren't somehow believed it to be a sign from god of something and everyman in Wehrmacht went to sleep praying to God. Not knowing what was going to happen I thought I wouldn't sleep at night but I slept like a log can't say the same for everyone else in the Wehrmacht when I woke up everyone was grumbling.

I felt the morning air as I walked around encampment which was massive to house over 100,000 troops at once. It was the size of a medium to large medieval city and we deforested the area around Constantinople in the case of a long siege the soldiers slept in wooden huts that were still probably better than the homes of most peasants. The encampment is to big to be placed on top of a single hill so it was designed to hold most valuable things on top of several hills and have the majority of soldiers on the lower grounds.

I watched my pocket watch tic as the hours got closer to 12 I would be lying to I wasn't anxious but I tried my best to show confidence outwards as to not appear weak that was the last thing I needed right now. As it neared 12 I got my sword ready to go and as I was leaving the camp many soldiers were cheering for me

"Dear father God may the Sultan be defeated in the coming duel and that your strength be given to the German king" An orthodox priest and his congregation prayed and on the other side of things the Ottoman soldiers prayed for Mehmed's Victory.

Noon had arrived as I was approaching the chosen dueling location chosen to be far enough away so that neither army could intervene but close enough so that they could spectate.

My sword was a Long Sword and Mehmed's was a Scimitar. I positioned myself and so did he drawing out our swords I felt my heart race as I know that this could be both my first and last duel as many things can happen: I could easily get killed as the blades were still sharp, I could end up a cripple or maybe I would just lose with a scar to my pride but, if I win, no, When I win the same could just as easily happen to him.

I ran and attacked him first narrowly missing his neck when he blocked it we exchanged blows and I remained the one mostly on the offensive unleashing as many blows as I possibly could while Mehmed was easily defending himself from my strikes but was struggling to launch one of my own. But I have noticed it seemed as if we both had almost unlimited stamina as neither of us seemed to be tiring. The only thing I was tired of was my blade being blocked so I attempted to punch him in the face in some attempt to end this 2 hour long duel.

It failed as it was caught by him who burst out laughing but as he was laughing I felt the world turn.

"HAHAHA stupid boy did you really think this was going to work." Mehmed said with his eyes still closed but this time I couldn't care less about his taunts as I felt a shudder as it looked to me as if I was in the terminal so I completely stopped not sure if it was my I imagination or if it was reality.

"HAHAHA who taught you to----" Mehmed stopped laughing the moment he opened his eyes "Are you seeing this?" he asked I can't tell if he is nervous or shocked or most likely both.

"Did we both die?" I asked him just to be sure if it was not our soldiers who might've intervened.

"No no neither of you died. you just completed the first chapter in your stories." A man said but it was then when I recognized him as the person who worked on the terminal when I was going through it was impossible to tell what he was wearing or what he looked like the only thing I could tell was that he was a man.

"what do you mean?" Mehmed asked shaking

The man didn't answer but snapped his fingers and out came a table of 3 people sitting down but they didn't just come out of thin air it felt more like they just became visible.

"we have plenty of things to talk about" someone at the table said but it was impossible to tell who at the table said it.

"L-l-like what?" I asked very nervously

"Be not afraid." said someone with a deep voice at the table but this time I could tell that it came from the one on the right side of the table

Almost instantly all my worry and fear was replaced by calm it seemed to have the same effect on Mehmed who stopped visibly shaking.

"So what do you want to talk about?" I asked this time with more confidence

"We are bored and we want to have some fun with your world, In fact that is the reason why we made your world-----" they then talk about how they were a technologically advanced civilization that in their prime they challenged the true gods who were their creators and won but were forced to assume their role.

"So what we will do is we will give you almost godly powers to you both as well as new and stronger bodies to be able to handle the power."

"So what's the price?" Mehmed asked

"simple you provide us with entertainment and gambling opportunities." the center one said

"Any rules or restrictions." I asked this time

"for your powers none." The one in the Center said but proceeded to list how no matter what we tried nuclear weapons and some other weapons of mass destruction are off the table even the native people are incapable of creating one and that if we caused a major catastrophe to kill ourselves we would just survive because we are now immortal and forever young although we cannot kill each other we could incapacitate each other for a long time and same with the regular people who could not kill us but cripple us temporarily one benefit we get is that the bodies we get would be interpreted by others as the body we always had and every thing from texts to images would change in a way that described us in our new forms and not in our old.

"Oh one more thing." the one on the left finally spoke

Mehmed and I both looked puzzled "You see Erwin landed more blows on you Mehmed so we will give you a slash on your chest that will disappear in a couple of weeks."

"wait wha---" Mehmed tried to ask them but was cut short when both of us were sent back to our plane of existence

I was immediately hit with a geyser of blood as I watched as Mehmed fall down. When Mehmed fell fully I heard cheers and shouts from my side but then I heard the most infuriating thing, my soldiers were shooting rounds into the air. Ultimately I decided to ignore it and look at Mehmed new appearance Mehmed was before tall and had medium dark skin tone and dark brown hair and eyes. But now he had light green hair same skin ton and red eyes although his hair is now straight and of course has that massive chest wound.

I looked down at my somehow clean sword and looked at my reflection and I now had bright blonde hair and blood red eyes which complemented my glowing white skin and looking at myself I now had the body of a Greek god. My men cheered and as I got up to march to Constantinople they followed me as I walked through the gates Theodosian wall I heard its citizens cheering loudly as they greeted my troops warmly.
