I stood still, watching the lights of the humans' torches. I was trembling as I would be killed if I were seen. I'm weak, and my SP is too low to do anything with my editing skill.

But if I'm seen, I'll have to do something... At least I have to die trying to survive!

"What's that? There's a lot of webs around here. It looks like the spider that used to live here has abandoned its home." I heard one of the humans speak. I didn't know how many there were, but it was probably a large group.

"Don't touch that." Another human spoke. His voice was deeper. Then, I could see that the glow from their torches had increased.

The human footsteps were becoming distant. They were moving away. So I stood still and waited for a while. My web was very flammable. It was burning fast.

Then my poison kicked in. It was the first time I had used my poison.

'Haaaa~~ It's great to level up' I don't remember how long it took Kumoko to level up. Also, I don't remember being notified that my "Thread Manipulation" skill had become LV2.

Now it's LV3.

It probably went up a level after I built my house, and I didn't even notice.

'Poison resistance has also gone up, that's great. Plus, I got 100 skill points.' But I'm not going to spend them now.
